Nancy Pelosi is Playing Political Games with the
U.S. Constitution over Donald Trump’s Impeachment

No one can be sure what her intent is. I'm not sure she even knows but her decision to wait before transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate is setting a bad precedent that puts politics ahead of the U.S. Constitution. For all the work that's gone into addressing the charges against President Donald Trump, it's hard to argue they rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

When they fired that reporter they said they were going to make an effort to be more impartial. This is the second article I've seen from them recently that is holding to that.

That’s because she is an Imperialistic Tyrant. It’s all about her perceived unlimited political power no matter what the Constitution says about it. Her mission objective is to destroy the Constitution and to turn government into a single all powerful all controlling single body with Democrats in total and full complete control forever. She is the poster dictator for The Enemy Within.

Except that he HASN'T been impeached yet. Until she of the odd little goatee and the permanently surprised eyebrows actually gets off her arse and sends the articles to the Senate, the whole thing remains "Schrodinger's Impeachment." Either way, the articles are DOA asxsoon as they hit the Senate floor. She knows this, hence the temper tantrum.

As the House and Senate continue their struggle over the coming Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, a federal judge in Washington issued an opinion that was largely lost in the crush of New Year’s stories. The opinion could loom large in the trial, however, and one line in particular may be repeated like a mantra by the Trump defense team: “The House clearly has no intention of pursuing” the witness.

Voters are ready to jail or fire senior law enforcement officials who illegally targeted President Trump, but most think they are unlikely to be punished. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters consider it likely that senior federal law enforcement officials broke the law in an effort to prevent Trump from winning the presidency. Thirty-nine percent (39%) say that’s unlikely. This includes 36% who say it’s Very Likely they broke the law to get Trump and 24% who say it’s Not At All Likely. These findings are virtually unchanged in surveying since February of last year.

TIME magazine has named its Person of the Year, a teenager who skipped school to travel around the world telling people that they are horrible and the planet is doomed. It’s a living. Perhaps her Malthusian visions will be fulfilled by future experience. But it’s not very likely. In fact, her position is at odds with what we know: that a more responsible approach to climate requires action from China and India, not the West.

Secretary of State William Seward wrote it and Abraham Lincoln issued it, but much of the credit for the Thanksgiving Proclamation should probably go to a woman named Sarah Josepha Hale. A prominent writer and editor, Hale had written the children’s poem “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” originally known as “Mary’s Lamb,” in 1830 and helped found the American Ladies Magazine, which she used a platform to promote women’s issues.

The tactics some Republicans are using to defend President Donald Trump against being impeached (or indicted) by the House and convicted (or removed from office) by the Senate include confusing the public about what these terms mean. One thrust is to suggest that for a president to be impeached, he must have committed a crime.

Tucker Carlson of Fox News was not among those celebrating the end of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani’s reign of terror around the globe. On Friday’s show, Carlson blasted Washington “neocons” for wanting to go to war. “Chest beaters like Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska are making the usual warlike noises like they always make,” he said. By all accounts, Soleimani was the world’s most dangerous terrorist, responsible for the deaths of thousands. The number of people shedding tears for the leader of Iran’s infamous Quds Force is very limited, and most assuredly, Carlson was not mourning Soleimani’s death.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is calling on the Trump administration to immediately brief lawmakers on the U.S. airstrike that killed a top Iranian commander in Iraq and what the White House plans to do next. The strike in Iraq was directed by President Donald Trump and killed Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's secretive Quds Force, the Department of Defense announced Thursday night. The move, which is likely to provoke retaliation from Iran, comes amid heightened tensions between the Trump administration and Tehran over rocket attacks aimed at coalition forces in Iraq. U.S. officials have said those attacks were likely carried out by Iranian-backed militias with links to the Quds Force.

So much for the taunt from Iran’s “supreme leader,” Ayatollah Khamanei, that America “cannot do a damn thing” about Iran’s attack on our embassy in Baghdad. It took President Trump but a day after that jibe to wheel on the Iranians. He launched a drone attack that found and killed the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassim Soleimani. It is likely to mark a turning point in the not-so-quasi war that Iran has been levying against us — and, among others, Israel. This is not a situation in which responsibility is being debated on murky evidence.

The U.S. killing of Qassim Soleimani In Baghdad on Thursday ends an enduring threat. At least in the short term, however, it will unleash Iranian retaliation. The leader of the external action arm of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Soleimani long led that regime's efforts to destroy its enemies and expand its revolution. From an explosive campaign that killed hundreds of U.S. soldiers in Iraq, to supporting Bashar Assad's regime with legions of Shiite fighters and IRGC operatives, to conducting a campaign of bombings and assassinations and intimidation across the world, Soleimani was a master of his very dark arts. Leaders of the United Methodist Church–America’s second-largest Protestant denomination–have announced plans to split the church in two after years of division over same sex marriage. The plan, if approved at the church’s worldwide conference in Minneapolis in May, would divide the denomination into two branches: a traditionalist branch that opposes gay marriage and the ordination of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender clergy, and a more tolerant branch that will allow same-sex marriage and LGBT clergy. The split would affect the denomination globally, church leaders said. The United Methodist Church lists more than 13 million members in the United States
