Late Senator John McCain provided disgraced former FBI chief James Comey with five separate reports from Christopher Steele that the FBI didn’t previously possess related to unsubstantiated allegations of collusion between Russia and President Trump’s 2016 campaign, the Justice Department’s recent Inspector General report revealed.
There have long been questions about why it was necessary for McCain to pass Steele’s anti-Trump dossier to Comey on December 9, 2016, several weeks after the November 2016 presidential election. By then, Steele had already met numerous times with FBI agents to provide them with his controversial reports.

Why was this not a front page breaking news when the IG report was first published? Better late than never, I guess...

McCain was a HAWk who loved the $$ the US spent on the military-and presumably got kickbacks from the contractors who curried his favor in Ways & Means. McCain knew that Trump wanted to pull out of foreign entanglements and rebuild the military that Obama had allowed to atrophy. My guess is that he saw Trump as a threat to his off the books income and so he participated with the schemers willingly.

Is this the same John S. McCain III that graduated from the US Naval Academy in the bottom 1% of his class? Impressive.

No wonder the "news" people liked mcvain so much. He was one of them. His only sin in their eyes was he ran for president as a republican. But when he ran a wimpy milqtoast campaign and lost to Da Won, while trashing Sarah in the process, all was forgiven.

As time passes, I think we will discover more and more garbage cans full of McCain stench. He demonstrated his true character by the manner that he planned his funeral to dishonor our President. Also, to make it clear that Sarah Palin was not invited. Too bad that lady just was not strong enough to drag his worthless carcass across the finish line all by herself in 2008.
In fact, I am starting to seriously consider that in the 2008 election we might have been better off with Obama than McCain. I know that is frightening, but I think there is a lot more McCain treason out there that we have yet to discover. A very small person, that maverick.

How could the Republican Party let the poser McCain pretend he was one of them for all those years? Inexplicable. We are very fortunate that he now resides in hell.

A snake (songbird) doesn't change its spots. Even though he wasn't invited, President Trump still gave McCains worthless carcass more honor than he ever deserved!

This has been known for quite some time. He sent one of his aides to London to retrieve information from Steele and then felt that it was his "obligation" to pass it off to Comey at the FBI. Traitor to the end

Trump picks the fights on what is important. To him, McCain wasn't all that important, so let him have his glorious funeral. It wasn't worth the squawk that would have ensued had Trump not gone along with McCain's wishes. He wasn't going to be around to bother him anyway. I will add that John McVain was an evil man, and corrupt as hell.

Someone already dropped a house on McPain. He was a nasty piece of work but he's gone.
I'm more interested to know what Comey, the very live traitor, did with the reports he indirectly received coming from the British ex-spy who was "formally cut off as an FBI source". Comey didn't know this? If Steele was "cut off", were the reports Comey got from McPain filed in the trash? What did Comey do with them? Did he insert a discredited source back into an investigation? Isn't that unethical, maybe illegal?

Trump probably went along with McPain's funeral plans because he knew that after it was over he'd never have to deal with the old SOB again. The longer McPain is dead, the less newsworthy his wife and obnoxious daughter are. They made a big point of "dis-inviting" him to the funeral, but he was under no obligation to attend in the first place, and probably was relieved he didn't have to pretend to respect McCain (which he clearly didn't).

This is ancient news to anyone following the backstory on the coup.
Jeb! kicked in some $ and along with Hillary’s cash, the DOJ and the DNC - there is no telling how much dough Steele was making.
It’s revolting.

The fat, obnoxious daughter needs to be tarred and feathered for her undying support of her traitor father. IRS should do a deep dive into the graft he piled away over the years from defense company kickbacks.

Was the FISA Court judge told that McCain was the courier? Would that add credibility to the fake filings? Did Coward Comey solicit McCain's participation for that reason?
I can imagine something like this -
"Your Honor, the accusations against Trump are so serious,.Senator McCain has personally become involved in the acquisition and transport of the documents."
