Former second lady Dr. Jill Biden, whose husband former vice president Joe Biden is running for the 2020 Democrat nomination, handed out tamales and Christmas gifts to migrants in Mexico as part of a visit with local leaders on Sunday. Biden toured a migrant camp across the border from Brownsville, Texas, home to over 2000 asylum-seekers.

I guess the homeless Americans on the streets of Los Angeles and San Francisco don't deserve her attentions.

#6 and others are correct. I can remember the media with their constant references to DOCTOR Jill Biden. 24/7 it was DOCTOR Jill Biden.....DOCTOR, DOCTOR, DOCTOR whenever she was mentioned. It’s the same every January with MLK being referenced as ‘DOCTOR KING’ in the media. Never mind that he was caught plagiarizing his thesis. I had a cousin who had a PHD in something called ‘comparative religion ‘ and he always signed his correspondence with his ‘Doctor ‘ title. He would have been mortified to discover how much the family laughed behind his back at his silly pretentiousness.

She does not have a Ph.D. She has an Ed.D which is a degree obtained by people who expect to stay in a practitioner role rather than work in an academic program. Generally speaking there isn't as much rigor expected in the Ed.D. dissertation as in a Ph.D. The quality of the degree has everything to do with the advisor, other members of the committee, and the reputation of the institution granting the degree. As far as I can tell, Jill Biden makes a mockery of the degree. Ramona (the Pest)

The title "Doctor" comes from the Latin, Docere, which means 'to teach.' Physicians stole that title from us. Interestingly enough, the AP style book does not include the use of the title Dr. for someone like Jill the Adulteress.

Much to the superintendents chagrin, after fawning over her accomplishment, it was found that she got that degree from one of those on-line sources that provides degrees to anyone! No doubt a clueless PhD. There are probably a billion intending poor and generally uneducated “migrants” all over the world who would love to come to a USA borderline and request asylum in the USA to gain a better life for themselves and their families. The only thing that is keeping that from happening today is their inability to actually travel to a US borderline. Through their obvious pandering activities the Democrats are encouraging as many “migrants” as possible to put themselves in great danger by attempting to get to a US borderline to make an asylum claim. Since the US asylum laws do not provide for granting asylum to migrants who arrive at US borders based upon them coming from impoverished countries who want to take US jobs, or who may sometime become a crime victim in their home countries, the vast majority of such asylum claimants will be denied asylum. What happens then is those denied asylum claimants usually try to gain unlawful entry to, and stay in the USA illegally, thus bolstering the illegal alien population. So as far as the Democrats are concerned, through their pandering they are actually encouraging more mass uncontrolled illegal immigration into the USA. For that reason alone American voters should not vote for the Democrats.

There’s a particular stone toss comic strip that crystallizes everything I’m about to say in a single image. In the most general sense, the meme is about Cthulhu moving left. Liberal entropy can be considered a fact of life in American politics—as reliable as inertia, as predictable as gravity. Over time, leftists get their way. More particularly, however, the meme is about the particular form of conservative weakness that enables the drift. In other words, how heritage America loses big by conceding small. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is the most brazen illegal war waged by one sovereign state against another since World War II. The Kremlin launched the invasion in clear violation of the core obligation in the UN Charter, which prohibits the “use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.” Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently threatened that if Ukrainians continue to resist, they “risk the future of Ukrainian statehood.” And there is an avalanche of real-time evidence emerging from Ukraine that the Russian military is committing war crimes throughout the country—including by targeting civilians.
