A memorial for a Chicago man shot dead earlier this year turned into a bloodbath early Sunday with at least 13 people getting shot, according to authorities. The house party just days before Christmas was to honor the birthday of Lonell Irvin, a 22-year-old man fatally shot during an attempted carjacking in April, sources told the Chicago Tribune. At least two gunmen are believed to have opened fire just after 12:30 a.m. with at least four victims—including a 16-year-old boy—left in critical condition, police said.(Snip) The shooting started inside following a dispute inside the South Side house

Comments:

The same way bitter cold accompanies Global Warming rallies, Stop the Bloodshed events trigger eruptions of violence. Where is Selfless Nobel Prize Laureate Barack Hussein Obama in all of this? Poor inner-city Africans walk about in Obama T-shirts while their Chicago community organizer idol basks in luxury in his mansions or at resorts affordable only by the 1%.

Why isn't this being reported as a "mass shooting"? Is it because no one died or because of who the shooters and victims are?

13 people shot at a party in memory of a carjacker. At least two shooters suspected. The only firearm recovered is a revolver (like THAT was the only gun there!). One of the 13 shot is being questioned as a possible shooter. That's all the progress the police will make on this one, because the thugs involved hate cops and the justice system more than they hate one another.

I am hardly a math whiz, but it is mindboggling to think about the possible exponential growth in Chicago shootings, if a party is held for each of those shot at the memorial service for the dead carjacker. Mindboggling! 13 to the 9 mm power!

My sister who passed this year had two black men stand up at her funeral and proclaim "had it not been for Miss Eileen, we would probably be dead or in prison". She didn't have much and died before her time, but the impact she had on their lives was evident. Proud of my sister. Forgot to mention she was white.
