Christianity Today Editor Says Evangelicals
Can No Longer Trade Off Trump Anti-
Abortion Stance for His Bad Character

Original Article

Posted By: LittleHoodedMonk, 12/22/2019 3:38:26 PM

The editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, the evangelical magazine that published an editorial last week labeling Donald Trump's actions in office "profoundly amoral," asked evangelicals to consider whether they can do the "trade-off" of having Trump be pro-life but maintaining poor personal values. (Snip) "We're not making a political judgment about him because that's not our expertise at Christianity Today. But I am making a moral judgement that he's morally unfit, or more precisely it's his public morality that makes him unfit," Galli said Sunday, just days after his editorial crashed the publication's website due to such a high volume of traffic.

Comments:

This guy at "Christianity Today" sounds like he's not afraid of digging his own hole deeper in an attempt to get closer to the Devil. What a liar (bearing false witness).

I wanted to know what “poor personal values” they were condemning him for. I really was surprised to read that the basis of their position is the Ukraine phone call. Oh, I suppose it also includes Trump’s blasphemy of asking the Judicial Branch to rule on his assertion that the Constitution does not require him to provide everything the little house on the prairie demands (goodnight schiff), since the Self Righteous Christian Man said impeachment is the last straw. This is not a real Christian organization. Rather it is claiming to be a Christian organization as a camouflaged position from which to launch political attacks. Typical leftoid infiltration tactics.

We certainly can trade those things off, and evaluate the character of all politicians by whatever standards we choose. We do not need Christianity Today, which has strayed badly from its founding principles, to lecture us.

I looked up past articles that were in Christianity Today and it was no surprise that they have been espousing the virtues of Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is rooted in Marxism as means of conquering Christianity for those who do not know. Poop Francis is very much a practitioner os this diabolical ideology.

PDT grates on Democrats because he is not afraid to point out their devious deeds and hypocracy. That is what they call his 'unpresidential behavior'. According to 'Christianity Today' pointing out bad behavior is so evil that we should ignore the fact that he condemns infanticide. I am afraid I don't see the evil in either of these behaviors. In fact, Christ, for whom their magazine is named, wasn't known for holding his tongue about hypocrites or condoning infanticide. I think they are mixed up and need to rename their magazine. They are talking about something of which they have zero knowledge.

The editor-in-chief of Christianity Today seems to believe every slanderous lie the Democrats and MSM have told about President Trump is the gospel truth! The immorality and evil of those conducting the 3 year vendetta against President Trump make the President look like the epitome virtue in comparison. I can only conclude that the editor-in-chief is either very naive or very stupid.

Kind David was a putz in his personal/moral life but he was God's chosen instrument. This religious man must not read his Scriptures? - Contrary to Mark Galli’s assertion of not judging President Trump ‘as a person in the eyes of God,’ Mark Galli has violated what is written in Scripture, of “judge not.” (Matthew 7:1-5) He has judged and sentenced President Trump to be removed from office because of what he, wrongfully, perceives to be President Trump’s unfit morality. As a pastor for over ten years, Mark Galli should know that: = God selects heads of nations: Haggai 2:20-23; 1 Chronicles 14:2; Daniel 2:21, 4:17; Romans 13:1-2; Revelation 1:4-5. = God uses sinners to bring about His will. For example: Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Rahab, Samson, David, Paul, Peter. = teachers (clergy) will be judged with greater strictness. (James 3:1) [Continued]

[Continued] - The “favor” President Trump asked President Zelensky about was for President Zelensky’s “government to investigate Ukrainian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” The transcript of the telephone call makes that very clear. - Indeed, public figures should “display a certain level of public character and public morality.” That is why President Clinton was impeached; however, vice presidents are, or should be, held to the same standard. President Trump’s presidential character and morality are unblemished. - No trade-off to be considered; President Trump is not guilty of the charges alleged for the purpose of impeaching him—charges maliciously manufactured by his political adversaries. If Mark Galli wants to consider morality, he would do well to take a long hard look at everyone involved, including the mainstream media, in their unrelenting efforts to destroy President Trump and overthrow the 2016 presidential election. - Neither Mark Galli nor Christianity Today represents ALL evangelicals.

Oops I hit the send button too soon! Guessing that is what's happening with Mr. Mark Galli. Did he read the transcript of the presidents call? Did he watch the hearing in which the democrats voted to retain material in the impeachment article that they knew to be false? Or is he the victim of his own confirmation bias? We only had two choices in the last election. Neither of them were/are morally perfect. The Lord Jesus Christ was not on the ballot for president. Somehow, (sadly) I don't think He would be acceptable to the leaders in any of our political parties.

#28, it's known in Christian Theological circles as Syncretism and is evil. DEF: Syncretism is the combining of different beliefs, while blending practices of various schools of thought. Syncretism involves the merging or assimilation of several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, thus asserting an underlying unity and allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths. Syncretism also occurs commonly in expressions of arts and culture as well as politics.

The numpty at Christianity Astray really needs to do his homework. It came out weeks and weeks ago that not only did Trump not ask Zelensky to do anything, but that is backed up by the transcript. There is also the little matter of the TREATY signed by Bubba during his presidency which made Trump's contacts with Ukraine LEGAL. Then there is also the fact that Ukraine tried to give evidence of corruption to our DOJ during Obama's time, and they were denied visas needed to enter the country. Christianity Astray has become a stench in God's nostrils and He will deal with this phony when the time comes. I am so sorry that the publication founded by Billy Graham has sunk to this level. This is like watching modern day Pharisees and their snobbery. Jesus dealt with them as well.

The God-given right of every child in the womb to be born is not negotiable or subject to any sort of trade-off. Those who advocate for that right may often be stymied by the legal machinery and forced to accept incremental victories, but the principle itself endures and must be recognized by serious Christians. Anyone who believes it can somehow be counterbalanced or outweighed is either deluded or a secularist in masquerade. I'll leave it to this fellow Galli to figure out which one he is.

Rose, who voted for both articles of impeachment this week, said, “Mark my words, okay? We are going to beat them by such a wide margin that next time around, they won’t even talk like this again, okay?”The New York Democrats’ comments contrast with Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), who chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), who believes that Rep. Rose will lose his seat in 2020.“Last night their obsession with impeachment finally came to a head, and they basically ended their majority,” Rep. Emmer said.

If you want to know why Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House, you only have to watch this video of a news conference she gave on Thursday. Such eloquence! It's absolutely amazing to listen to her. Martin Luther King Jr., eat your heart out!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declared that the United States is “not an advanced society” and is devolving into a fascist country while campaigning alongside presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Los Angeles Saturday.“Establishing a loving society in the United States of America” isn’t an “irrational, overly feeling, sympathetic statement,” Ocasio-Cortez said. Instead, it’s part of an ongoing mission to achieve “an advanced society,” she argued, citing past remarks by Harvard University professor and fellow Sanders surrogate Cornel West.

The brutal murder of Tessa Majors, an 18-year-old college student, attacked as she walked through Morningside Park in Manhattan, has chilled New Yorkers. According to news accounts, Majors was robbed and stabbed by three youths who accosted her, put her in a headlock, and emptied her pockets, then slashed her repeatedly with a four-inch knife blade. Found by police, she was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she died. The prime suspects are three teenage boys, ages 13 and 14—the third hasn’t yet been apprehended—who confessed to seeking robbery victims in the park. This horrible incident touches two raw nerves: one dealing with criminal responsibility and punishment for adolescents,

A decade ago, Time Magazine unveiled an in-depth article on the death of Detroit. One of the politicians whom the article blamed for Detroit’s woes was Rep. John Dingell. The Dingell clan has held a congressional seat outside Detroit since 1932. Their 87-year tenure has not coincidentally coincided with the decline of a thriving industrial city into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. But it’s been good for the Dingells, three of whom have sat in their congressional seat since the days of Herbert Hoover, the rise of Hitler, and the radio age, and fattened their pockets on its sinecures.

Looking for last-minute presents? Don’t buy Amazon’s Ring home camera system. Easily hackable, super creepy, and massively Orwellian, Ring and other home surveillance tech give you the illusion of protection while stealing your privacy and autonomy. Ring isn’t the only device to have been hacked. Nest, Alexa, and baby monitors are just a few of the home devices that have bad actors have hacked and manipulated. A perv recently used a Ring camera to gain access to an eight-year-old girl’s bedroom. Her parents had installed the device to keep tabs on her. Through the camera, a truly disgusting man can be heard to say: “I’m your best friend, I’m Santa Claus.”

The U.S. has begun deporting Mexican nationals deep into the interior of their country, making illegal reentry that much more difficult — and immigration enforcement officials have not ruled out deporting them as far as Guatemala. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the government of Mexico announced the relaunch of the Interior Repatriation Initiative Thursday. Under the auspices of the agreement, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations will fly Mexican nationals hundreds of miles within Mexican territory, in lieu of simply repatriating them a few miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. U.S. immigration officials stated the program will not only reduce recidivism among illegal immigrants,
