The editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, the evangelical magazine that published an editorial last week labeling Donald Trump's actions in office "profoundly amoral," asked evangelicals to consider whether they can do the "trade-off" of having Trump be pro-life but maintaining poor personal values. (Snip) "We're not making a political judgment about him because that's not our expertise at Christianity Today. But I am making a moral judgement that he's morally unfit, or more precisely it's his public morality that makes him unfit," Galli said Sunday, just days after his editorial crashed the publication's website due to such a high volume of traffic.

I wanted to know what “poor personal values” they were condemning him for.
I really was surprised to read that the basis of their position is the Ukraine phone call. Oh, I suppose it also includes Trump’s blasphemy of asking the Judicial Branch to rule on his assertion that the Constitution does not require him to provide everything the little house on the prairie demands (goodnight schiff), since the Self Righteous Christian Man said impeachment is the last straw.
This is not a real Christian organization. Rather it is claiming to be a Christian organization as a camouflaged position from which to launch political attacks.
Typical leftoid infiltration tactics.

We certainly can trade those things off, and evaluate the character of all politicians by whatever standards we choose. We do not need Christianity Today, which has strayed badly from its founding principles, to lecture us.

How will the Trump Presidency survive?

I looked up past articles that were in Christianity Today and it was no surprise that they have been espousing the virtues of Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is rooted in Marxism as means of conquering Christianity for those who do not know. Poop Francis is very much a practitioner os this diabolical ideology.

PDT grates on Democrats because he is not afraid to point out their devious deeds and hypocracy. That is what they call his 'unpresidential behavior'. According to 'Christianity Today' pointing out bad behavior is so evil that we should ignore the fact that he condemns infanticide. I am afraid I don't see the evil in either of these behaviors. In fact, Christ, for whom their magazine is named, wasn't known for holding his tongue about hypocrites or condoning infanticide. I think they are mixed up and need to rename their magazine. They are talking about something of which they have zero knowledge.

Am not in a position to speak for anyone but myself. So how does this individual have the gall to speak for all evangelicals? And he claims Our President has been amoral or immoral in office based on a bald faced lie. Granted PT has had a colorful past but since he has been in office he has been a choir boy. Suspect Galli is being paid by demoncraps which are the lowest of the low. I'll take PT over Fake Injun Squaw Liealota, The Sodomite, The Commie, Quid Pro Joe, and the rest of the Clown Crew.

The editor-in-chief of Christianity Today seems to believe every slanderous lie the Democrats and MSM have told about President Trump is the gospel truth! The immorality and evil of those conducting the 3 year vendetta against President Trump make the President look like the epitome virtue in comparison.
I can only conclude that the editor-in-chief is either very naive or very stupid.

Can this individual please provide specific examples of how President Trump is using his office for personal gain???? The left keeps throwing that out there but in no 'report' do they provide any evidence. It seems to me that his Presidency has probably done the exact opposite to his financial portfolio.
I ask that they look at Hussein's portfolio if they want to see a President who has received personal gain from that office. In fact MUCHO personal gain!!!!

Is this evangelical person so morally bankrupt to not understand that the orange man be personally immoral in the eyes of the religiously inclined but corporately superior in his governing morality. Kind David was a putz in his personal/moral life but he was God's chosen instrument.
This religious man must not read his Scriptures? The Scriptures are full of such people who have grave failings but whose outward actions acquit them.

- Contrary to Mark Galli’s assertion of not judging President Trump ‘as a person in the eyes of God,’ Mark Galli has violated what is written in Scripture, of “judge not.” (Matthew 7:1-5) He has judged and sentenced President Trump to be removed from office because of what he, wrongfully, perceives to be President Trump’s unfit morality.
As a pastor for over ten years, Mark Galli should know that:
= God selects heads of nations: Haggai 2:20-23; 1 Chronicles 14:2; Daniel 2:21, 4:17; Romans 13:1-2; Revelation 1:4-5.
= God uses sinners to bring about His will. For example: Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Rahab, Samson, David, Paul, Peter.
= teachers (clergy) will be judged with greater strictness. (James 3:1)

- The “favor” President Trump asked President Zelensky about was for President Zelensky’s “government to investigate Ukrainian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” The transcript of the telephone call makes that very clear.
- Indeed, public figures should “display a certain level of public character and public morality.” That is why President Clinton was impeached; however, vice presidents are, or should be, held to the same standard. President Trump’s presidential character and morality are unblemished.
- No trade-off to be considered; President Trump is not guilty of the charges alleged for the purpose of impeaching him—charges maliciously manufactured by his political adversaries. If Mark Galli wants to consider morality, he would do well to take a long hard look at everyone involved, including the mainstream media, in their unrelenting efforts to destroy President Trump and overthrow the 2016 presidential election.
- Neither Mark Galli nor Christianity Today represents ALL evangelicals.

Guessing that is what's happening with Mr. Mark Galli. Did he read the transcript of the presidents call? Did he watch the hearing in which the democrats voted to retain material in the impeachment article that they knew to be false? Or is he the victim of his own confirmation bias?
We only had two choices in the last election. Neither of them were/are morally perfect. The Lord Jesus Christ was not on the ballot for president. Somehow, (sadly) I don't think He would be acceptable to the leaders in any of our political parties.

#28, it's known in Christian Theological circles as Syncretism and is evil.
DEF: Syncretism is the combining of different beliefs, while blending practices of various schools of thought. Syncretism involves the merging or assimilation of several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, thus asserting an underlying unity and allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths. Syncretism also occurs commonly in expressions of arts and culture as well as politics.

The numpty at Christianity Astray really needs to do his homework. It came out weeks and weeks ago that not only did Trump not ask Zelensky to do anything, but that is backed up by the transcript. There is also the little matter of the TREATY signed by Bubba during his presidency which made Trump's contacts with Ukraine LEGAL. Then there is also the fact that Ukraine tried to give evidence of corruption to our DOJ during Obama's time, and they were denied visas needed to enter the country. Christianity Astray has become a stench in God's nostrils and He will deal with this phony when the time comes. I am so sorry that the publication founded by Billy Graham has sunk to this level. This is like watching modern day Pharisees and their snobbery. Jesus dealt with them as well.

No, we can decide what we want to do, and I find President Trump to be about 1,000 times more moral than any of the Demon-Rats currently running!!!!
Is President Trump a perfect Christian? Of course not!!! But unless Jesus is going to return and run for president, then nobody is going to be perfect!!! And Donald Trump does stand for far more Evangelical values than any Demon-Rat (and apparently Mr. Galli)!!!!!!

The God-given right of every child in the womb to be born is not negotiable or subject to any sort of trade-off. Those who advocate for that right may often be stymied by the legal machinery and forced to accept incremental victories, but the principle itself endures and must be recognized by serious Christians. Anyone who believes it can somehow be counterbalanced or outweighed is either deluded or a secularist in masquerade. I'll leave it to this fellow Galli to figure out which one he is.

Well, maybe. But first they would have to show me the articles where they lambasted Clinton for crimes in office and pedophilia once out. They would have to show me where they took a principled stand against a president who allowed Christians to be enslaved and beheaded by ISIS (Obama). They would have to show me how ebullient they were about George W Bush for his principled stands for Christianity and world peace.

Seems to me this little, lying, leftist e-i-c should sweep around his own front door. He's far from being any arbiter of what's morally unfit. Especially since his rag more often than not takes the side of evil leftist ideas over what's decent, right, and biblical. He's a thousand times worse than Trump. They all think it's okay to say whatever they want about Trump, but he is the worst sinner when he gives it as he gets it. I want to see all the articles they wrote about o'blabber's evil. Especially when he declared that we were no longer a Christian nation. Crickets, I'm sure.
