Joe Biden, who is 77 years old now, made it clear the other day he has no plans to serve only four years if elected president. “I don’t have plans on one term,” said Biden, who would be 82 at the end of it. Note the politician’s careful phrasing: “no plans.” Thoughts, perhaps. But no plans. [Snip]

It just scares me to think who would be doing his thinking if he became president.

More delusions from a Never-Trumper. Who wants a stinky old 'comfortable shoe' in the White House? Biden is a crusty old Senator with 40+ years of D.C. shenanigans in his veins. He's about the last person who could unite the country.

His wife has to cover for him because the campaign doesn't trust him to say anything. After a couple of primary losses, Joe will bow out.

So Jebster Malcolm finds Biden to be “comfortable on the mind”… Get the bit about “his people”...
Biden is like an old shoe, scuffed but comfortable on the mind, unlike the Republican incumbent for most Americans. Never underestimate an incumbent, especially an incumbent named Donald Trump.
Trump reeks of turmoil. And anger. His people love that. But in 2016, his people comprised barely 46% of voters, 2% less than what’s-her-name, who did underestimate Trump. Too many of her votes came from the same places. Trump got his in just the right places to acquire 57% of the Electoral College. He won Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin by 77,000 votes combined.
Malcolm’s mind is not working too well, either…but he’s no spring chicken. And he likes dull and boring like Jeb.

Haven't courts repeatedly established that politicians can't be sued for breaking campaign promises? Malcolm's idea is unrealistic from the get-go. This article might as well be a fart in the wind.

#7 might consider that sprinkling the occasional "low-hanging fruit" around a news forum can stimulate discussion among the reticent, while providing harmless outlets for compulsive commenters (giving more room on the meatier articles for commenters who actually know something about the subject and have something relevant to say about it).

Quid Pro Joe if elected would serve zero terms. He would resign on Day One and let his VEEP Stacy Abrams take over.

Possible scenario in the minds of the Democrats: nominate Biden so he can defeat Trump, and nominate a VP candidate even further left who could never be elected on her own. After Biden’s vanity is satisfied by him getting elected, he resigns for health reasons (or whatever), making way for the even more extreme left VP to become president.
Yes, the scenario is highly unlikely to succeed (I hope), but I wouldn’t put it past them.

LBJ knew he would lose big time because of Viet Nam. He knew he blew it. But the biggest issue he actuallly would have died during that term.

The usual load of malarky from one of our favorite writers. Biden is a blubbering fool now, can you imagine what he would be like at 82 or 86?

It’s not President Trump who is causing all the so-called turmoil in DC, it is the leftist and liberal Democrat resistance that has been attacking Trump with all sorts of bogus charges since Trump was elected. Common sense will tell you that the Trump supporters are not going to abandon Trump because of that unreasonable Democrat resistance that is also bound to cause a lot of old time Democrats to support Trump.
If Biden does advise that he will be a one term President, Trump will also run against Biden’s Vice-Presidential partner, who is bound to be a minority politician, who could never be elected President in 2020 in his or her own right, who will no doubt be picked by Barack Obama. If Biden is elected under those circumstances, chances are he will retire before finishing his one term, to hand the Presidency to his Vice-President, and to give him or her a big leg up in the 2024 election. Remember to the Democrats any fowl means they use, is justified by the sought end result.
