Another controversy is brewing for Starbucks as the coffee giant apologized to two deputies in California after they claimed employees at the retailer refused to serve them on Thursday night. The incident happened at Starbucks in Riverside County near University of California, Riverside when employees allegedly ignored the uniformed deputies for around five minutes and did not offer to serve them. The deputies eventually decided to leave, according to statements from a Starbucks spokesperson and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco on Twitter.

This sounds like walking into the local courthouse and trying to get someone to wait on you. No one waiting in front of you, 2 workers with their backs to you talking about what they did last night, what they're going to do tonight, etc., while you stand there trying to get their attention and discovering their life experiences are more important than their jobs actually are.
By the way, Starbucks offered the usual libtard weak apology.

Starbucks baristas think they are something special. In reality they are nothing more than the old fashioned soda jerks.

Beware trying to generalize from the specific. This is entirely dependent on individual local managers. At the Starbucks I usually patronize, cops get free coffee, as they should. If I saw it handled otherwise as I was standing there, I would buy the cop's coffee myself.

#2 Bamapreacher,....."soda jerks"? Perhaps you meant just plain jerks. I have some other "descriptive" terms for them, but I don't want to get banned here.

My question is why would any police officer give a known cop-hating business like Starbucks their business?!?!?!?
Sadly, I would think that how these officers were treated was the "norm" not the "exception"!!!
And even if the cops do get served, I sure hope they do not drink anything they could not see being made from start to finish!!! It's scary to think what could be put in their drinks if these evil Starbucks employees are out of sight for even a few seconds!!!!!
As evil and deranged and "in your face" as lie-berals have become the last few years, I put nothing beyond them!!!!!!!

I won't go to a Starbucks anymore and won't even buy their crummy beans (on sale at that) in our grocery store! I'll just drink something American!

If you find someone willing to pay five bucks for a cup of coffee, make him a cup of coffee. Why does simple economics elude these college types?

Starbucks employees are for the most part young left wing progressives that are totally into socialism and free stuff from the government and taxing the rich and an indoctrinated hate and disrespect for law enforcement and the military. So this is not surprising or unexpected. Writing PIG on a customers cup and now this. I’m on a lifetime boycott of Starbucks at this point.

And who are these Starbucks idiots gonna call when they get robbed in their chi chi coffee shop? Cops make it possible for skinny little sissy-faced baristas to walk the streets without getting beat up every 10 minutes by thugs who want their tips.

I know that Starbucks (did not buy coffee) and I know the university. That particular area of Riverside is full of democrats and radical socialists and has been since the sixties. The deputies either weren’t aware of that demographic or they thought that radical socialists like to earn money. If I was a cop, I would go only where no one is likely to do nasty things to my brew.

Isn’t Starbucks the same woke chain that allows American-Africans to loiter all day without buying anything and then apologized to the racial arbiters?

They must not have a Dunkin Donuts in that area. Certainly there are other coffee shops that serve a cup of coffee that is better than Starbucks.
Out here in flyover country where the deplorables prevail, our coffee shops give free coffee to law enforcement officers. Having these folks stop by is good for everyone. We feel good about frequenting a business that has police officers stopping in from time to time. I understand the progressives feel different about this practice.

These retailers who disrespect the cops need to be called on the carpet and asked why they embrace criminal behavior? For that is exactly what they do, every time they refuse service to somebody wearing their uniform. The thin blue line is not a joke, or something to take lightly. Right now this nation is on the cusp of something bad and uncivil, and these spoiled brats need to think about that when they get harassed or mugged on the way too and from work.
All it is going to take is for several businesses to be the victim of a nasty shooting/robbery with no law enforcement showing up to save them. When they whine about it then the authorities can explain that since the businesses didn't want them in peace, why should they come in when there is a disaster? I truly think that it is coming very close to that.

This indicates that there is a divide between Starbucks corporate headquarters that is trying to sell as much coffee as possible, and their politicized low life and ignorant local employees, so-called Baristas, who are by their actions and attitudes out to run off a good percentage of Starbucks current customer base.
