In the perpetually fluctuating universe of who lawyers representing Donald Trump, White House counsel Pat Cipollone will argue the president's case during a likely Senate impeachment trial. The situation will put under the lights a former corporate lawyer who banked millions, once worked for Attorney General Bill Barr, and penned a scathing letter refusing to cooperate with the Democratic impeachment inquiry. It is Cipollone who will be arguing during the televised trial, Bloomberg News reported. Cipollone’s letter is in the article. So is a tweet from George Conway, slamming Cipollone. I believe I finally figured Conway out. He has Napolitanoitis. From Wikipedia: George Thomas Conway III is an American attorney. Conway was on the short list of candidates considered by President Donald Trump for United States solicitor general prior to the nomination in March 2017 of Noel Francisco for that position.

The good news is Pat Cipollone will represent the president during this impeachment trial, NOT Rudy Giulianni ..Praise God! Loose Cannon Rudy is the very last thing Trump needs in that very sensitive situation. No doubt, Rudy is livid and very confused.

Cipollone has all the right stuff with a unbeatable track record of achievement and success. He also comes from the business sector which is a plus. A great choice by President Trump. As much as I like Rudy, he needs to stay in the background.

Do Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Mike Bloomberg, and all the other Democrats running against Joe Biden really want to be president? Because it sure doesn’t seem like they want the job. The question is on behalf of the millions of Americans who are either working for, donating to, or simply rooting for any of the other 12 candidates still officially in the race. Put them together, and those 12 other candidates have the support of more than 70% of Democratic Party primary voters and a lot more donated money than Biden on his own. So it would be a good idea for those candidates to answer

NY Times opinion columnist Michelle Goldberg has coined a new term for the left’s misery over the election of President Trump: Democracy grief. According to Goldberg, the feeling that some environmentalists have about climate change is called “climate grief.” Democracy grief is the equivalent for those who believe a second Trump term will mark the end of liberal democracy in the Unites States: Lately, I think I’m experiencing democracy grief. For anyone who was, like me, born after the civil rights movement finally made democracy in America real, liberal democracy has always been part of the climate, as easy to take for granted as clean air or

First things first: The theme song of the week is the closing credits from Growing Pains. Poll of the week: A new Monmouth University poll finds that 46% of Americans have a favorable view of President Donald Trump. His unfavorable rating stands at 52%. That makes for a net favorability (favorable - unfavorable) rating of -6 points. The average of polls this month puts Trump's net favorability at -11 points. What's the point: During the course of the Democrats' impeachment inquiry into Trump, analysts such as myself have been making the few historical comparisons we can to judge the current situation. In these, Trump usually comes out looking poorly compared

The United States has a higher share of single-parent households than 129 other countries, a recent analysis from the Pew Research Center reveals. Twenty-three percent of U.S. children live with a single adult, Pew found, compared with an average of just 7 percent around the world. Of the 130 countries from which Pew obtained survey data, rates of single-parent households ranged from the low 20s in the United States and United Kingdom to as low as 1 or 2 percent in countries like Turkey and Afghanistan. The report suggests that America's record-high rate,

When it comes to the unlawful surveillance on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the most important question is, what did President Obama know and when did he know it? If we are to believe the testimony in the Justice Department inspector general’s report on FISA abuse, Obama didn’t know anything about the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Neither did his attorney general, her deputy, or anyone in the White House. At least not that they can recall – an expression used over 200 times in the report. The Trump administration is preparing to move the public lands management bureau out of Washington, DC to Colorado. It makes perfect sense because the vast majority of public lands are out west.
