Fox News anchor Chris Wallace accuses
Donald Trump of 'the most direct
sustained assault on freedom of the
press in our history' after president*

A respected Fox News Channel host raked President Donald over the coals this week for his treatment of political journalists, who he has called 'the enemy of the people' and a more potent 'opposition party' than the Democrats.Trump's regular verbal broadsides against the reporters who cover him may not be the most direct such attack in American history: Abraham Lincoln ordered the jailing of Northern newspaper reporters and editors who publicly opposed freeing black slaves in the South as a rationale for a civil war.

*called him 'nasty & obnoxious' for tough impeachment segment

Wallace, you smug jerk, you mistakenly put “freedom” in that sentence since press (enemy of the people) certainly continues to have all the freedom they want to lie to the world.

Wallace is really full of himself. There is no justification for this kind of accusation. Even if there was, Wallace is not in the position to make such a judgement call. Wallace seems rather desperate to find an important place for himself.

Freedom of the press is dependent on the more basic right, of freedom of speech. The fact that Trump has been correct over and over again about the 'fake news' articles, shows us why freedom of speech is so important. Indeed, through his brilliant use of twitter, Trump has converted freedom of speech into freedom of the press. Wallace is whining because the monopoly on mass communication that has been held for so long by a self-selected elite, has finally begun to shatter. The lies told by politician amplified by the lies told by some members of the press, are now falling on deaf ears. With the internet, we are now all members of the press, if we desire to be. Suggest Fox can increase their overall ratings by putting Chris where he belongs, on the 2 Am to % am segment.

What a stupid little man. I hope Wallace realizes that once you go over to the dark side there is no return. With all of the journalist layoffs across the country, Donald Trump does not have to lift a finger to destroy these lying weasels. The only reason that the press did not have a conflict with the Kenyan was that they were all Obama all the time, especially when he screwed up, which was every minute that he wasn't on the golf course. I fail to understand how a roaring economy, a robust stock market and a stronger national defense irritates so many people.

"A Freedom Forum Institute poll, associated here with the Newseum, this year found that 29 per cent of Americans, almost a third of all of us, think the First Amendment goes too far." Don't blame this on Trump, Chris. The left wants to outlaw "hate speech" (however they define it), compel speech (by mandating pronouns for addressing transgenders), and deny speech for anyone who disagrees with them; e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

Truth be know it is the media itself that has been assaulting the Principles of a Free Press and its Role as the Fourth Estate: since its practitioners abandoned all their Ethical and Professional Responsibility and turned to become "partisan propagandists", in the process (like in this very case) even making themselves "the news". Freedom of Speech and of the Press are both two edged swords; Well may people insist on propagandizing thier side, but their targets targets and people holding different views have the right to argue against and point out the media's "gross" professional shortcomings.

Perhaps if Democrats would momentarily shelve their obsession with Donald Trump, they’d comprehend the staggering abuse of power they’re defending these days. Because much of Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing with DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz was jaw-dropping. Horowitz’s testimony, in fact, sounded little like the media depiction of the IG report only the day before. Most major outlets had stressed that the IG had found no bias in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. But failing to uncover explicit instances of bias and exonerating the FBI aren’t the same thing. Worse, most of the media had buried the lede. An honest headline would have read something like: “Obama’s FBI cooked up

A Florida man, found eaten by an alligator this summer, died from a meth overdose before his body was ripped apart by the reptile, according to a medical examiner's findings. Michael Ford, 45, was found face down in a canal in Fort Meade on June 27 and Polk County Sheriff's investigators theorized he might have drowned before an alligator began eating the man's remains, NBC News reported. A hand and a foot belonging to Ford was found in the beast's stomach.

Lately, it's been convenient — and self-serving to some — to call what is going on with the Trump administration a coup. It's a "soft coup" or a "silent coup" or a wish-it-were-a-coup. (snip) When a group, no matter how large or small, decides it wants to step beyond the constitutional means for changing the government and change it to fit their own ideals of government, and superimpose those ideals on everybody else, we .a true conflict (snip) and so they decide to overthrow it and replace it with their own views or ideas, we have a war.

Democrats are feigning outrage after Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert called the alleged Ukraine “whistleblower” by name during a televised House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing last night.Gohmert dropped the alleged whistleblower’s name during his opening statement, when he said Eric Ciaramella and others should be questioned as fact witnesses. Gohmert said: “Abuse of power [and] obstruction of Congress — the very things the majority has done in preventing us from having the witnesses that could shed light on this. We needed to hear from those witnesses — people like Sean Misko, Abigail Grace, Eric Ciaramella, Devin Archer, Joe Biden, Nellie Ohr, Alexandra Chalupa — and so many others.”

Hours after he was born in 1989, Freddie Figgers was set down next to a dumpster in a rural area of Florida's panhandle. A passerby found him alone and in distress, and called police. The infant was hospitalized with minor injuries for two days, then placed in a foster home. The couple who took him in, Nathan and Betty Figgers, lived in nearby Quincy, Florida, and already had a daughter. Shortly after Freddie began living with them, the Figgerses - who often took in foster children - decided to adopt him.
