A respected Fox News Channel host raked President Donald over the coals this week for his treatment of political journalists, who he has called 'the enemy of the people' and a more potent 'opposition party' than the Democrats.Trump's regular verbal broadsides against the reporters who cover him may not be the most direct such attack in American history: Abraham Lincoln ordered the jailing of Northern newspaper reporters and editors who publicly opposed freeing black slaves in the South as a rationale for a civil war.

Wallace is supporting the views of his handlers. Unfortunately for Wallace, Fox News Sunday viewers have left the show.

Wallace, you smug jerk, you mistakenly put “freedom” in that sentence since press (enemy of the people) certainly continues to have all the freedom they want to lie to the world.

Gee, wonder why Comey chose Wallace as his interviewer in order to appear on Fox.
By the way, Chris, you insufferable dork, you should read up on your history. Start with Woodrow Wilson in World War I.

Wallace is really full of himself. There is no justification for this kind of accusation. Even if there was, Wallace is not in the position to make such a judgement call.
Wallace seems rather desperate to find an important place for himself.

Freedom of the press is dependent on the more basic right, of freedom of speech. The fact that Trump has been correct over and over again about the 'fake news' articles, shows us why freedom of speech is so important. Indeed, through his brilliant use of twitter, Trump has converted freedom of speech into freedom of the press. Wallace is whining because the monopoly on mass communication that has been held for so long by a self-selected elite, has finally begun to shatter. The lies told by politician amplified by the lies told by some members of the press, are now falling on deaf ears. With the internet, we are now all members of the press, if we desire to be. Suggest Fox can increase their overall ratings by putting Chris where he belongs, on the 2 Am to % am segment.

What a stupid little man. I hope Wallace realizes that once you go over to the dark side there is no return. With all of the journalist layoffs across the country, Donald Trump does not have to lift a finger to destroy these lying weasels.
The only reason that the press did not have a conflict with the Kenyan was that they were all Obama all the time, especially when he screwed up, which was every minute that he wasn't on the golf course.
I fail to understand how a roaring economy, a robust stock market and a stronger national defense irritates so many people.

"A Freedom Forum Institute poll, associated here with the Newseum, this year found that 29 per cent of Americans, almost a third of all of us, think the First Amendment goes too far." Don't blame this on Trump, Chris. The left wants to outlaw "hate speech" (however they define it), compel speech (by mandating pronouns for addressing transgenders), and deny speech for anyone who disagrees with them; e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

In the U.S., unfortunately the media have become the enemy of truth and open information. The fact that the Daily Mail has become a major source of new in the United States says more about the news media in the U.S. than about the Daily Mail.

How does vigorously criticizing them for irresponsible lying and slander constitute restricting their freedom in any way? If he were really the tyrant that they all imaging him to be their crap would never see the light of day like in China and Cuba.
As Gen. Sherman said of the press during the Civil War.
“If I had my choice, I would kill every reporter in the world, but I am sure we would be getting reports from hell before breakfast.”

Imagine a non corrupt FBI or DOJ doing an investigation of the covert RICO contacts between MSM and the DNC. I would call this toad as my first witness to answer questions about specific collusion. ALL of them are guilty of it. They either seek out orders from the DNC directly or they take them from their relatives who are officials of the DNC or their puppet masters.

Truth be know it is the media itself that has been assaulting the Principles of a Free Press and its Role as the Fourth Estate: since its practitioners abandoned all their Ethical and Professional Responsibility and turned to become "partisan propagandists", in the process (like in this very case) even making themselves "the news". Freedom of Speech and of the Press are both two edged swords; Well may people insist on propagandizing thier side, but their targets targets and people holding different views have the right to argue against and point out the media's "gross" professional shortcomings.

When Pres. Trump criticizes the press, it is because it is fully deserved. They started this battle, and now they're mad because Turmp is a Republican that doesn't just sit there and be a pinata for the press.
It will be interesting to see the softballs Wallace lobs to Comey this Sunday - not that I'll be watching.
