Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham accused the FBI officials who investigated the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia of a “massive criminal conspiracy” in a fiery opening statement Wednesday for a hearing where the Justice Department's top watchdog testified. In a freewheeling speech to kick off the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on FBI abuses, the committee chairman said federal investigators made more than a few missteps -- and took the law into their own hands. “What has been described as a few irregularities becomes a massive criminal conspiracy over time to defraud the FISA court, to illegally surveil an American citizen and keep an operation open against a sitting president

A good start. Let's hope that this is enough to convince the Dems to kill their stupid, fraudulent, sad, pathetic impeachment ploy.

Sounds good, Senator Graham. But, we don't seem to see any criminal referrals, indictments, trials, convictions, and prison terms yet.

Horowitz stated all the facts needed to support Graham's assertion but somehow magically reached a different conclusion from them. It ain't raining Mikey.

Graham always gets is face out front---after someone else has done all the work. Now he proposes that Carter Page get a lawyer to right the injustices. Graham himself proposes nothing that Graham do. He and Ted Cruz will make their speeches, express their outrage, contribute nothing else. Nunes, the House Freedom Caucus did all the work exposing this fraud. In fact, the Horowitz report does nothing but say that every thing in the Nunes report was true and accurate.

Good old "I'm gonna" Graham will not get anything done in my lifetime. Like most of the investigators, fingers are in the pies and no one wants anything to get out. They're all creatures of the swamp, some are just in it a bit deeper.

"What happened here is the system failed."
What system failed? It was sabotaged time and again, discarded, ignored by those sworn to protect and defend "the system", i.e. the Constitution and law. Let's STOP blaming systems for failing. BLAME the people who engaged in egregious misconduct. Put a letter in their personnel file, at least!!

Considering the FBI knew shortly after opening the investigation (low bar to open an investigation) in June 2016, there as no there there, and they had exculpatory evidence that should have closed the investigation, everything afterwards is a criminal conspiracy, at the least. And there are likely other crimes along the way as they falsified documents, omitted key information and used CHR who was dropped by the FBI by October 2016.

Mr. Lindsey needs to have a long talk with Bill Barr, Rudy Giuliani, and Donald Trump. Maybe they can show him the difference between talking about an issue and doing something about it.
