BAM! It’s a quick uppercut to the jaw of the Deep State delivered via Attorney General William Barr in the form of a brutally powerful statement following today’s release of the IG report.
AG Barr makes clear he has the Deep State in his sights and he appears fully prepared to take this to the finish line.

“The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation

Wow! Wray is even issuing a "complete set of comprehensive reforms" today so that this never happens again. That's swell!

After reading this article, I actually think AG Barr is serious about making people pay for their crimes. This could prove to be a very Happy New Year!

This was Brennan's deal all the way and he was serving as Obama's faithful lap dog. I am open to the possibility that for a matter of days the FBI may have been duped by the CIA but they clearly figured out what they were handed was garbage and they became willing participants in the fraud before obtaining the FISA warrant and subsequent renewals.

"The IG report was never going to be the “big” moment where justice finally prevails against the Deep State." That's baloney. For the past several months I've been reading on all the conservative sites that the IG report was gonna blow the lid of this thing, that people would finally be held accountable, that high ranking officials would be charged, heck, it might even make it to Obama himself. But now that nothing actionable has come out, well, you just wait until the *next* report comes out. That one's really gonna get 'em. Yeah right. Talk, talk, talk. Blah, blah, blah. I'll believe it when I see people wearing stripes.

That Barr has full confidence in Wray is concerning. Wary has done nothing as far as I can tell to change the culture. Just look at how long it took the FBI to declare the Pensacola attack as terrorism!
Still, I trust Barr. I just hope it's not misplaced...

This is wonderful. AG Barr is clearly going to get to the bottom of this and will not let this whitewash stand.
Chris Wray is toast, too. He has consistently come down on the side of the Deep State coverup, and he need to be fired as the first order of business after Trump is re-elected. A SERIOUS house cleaning is needed in the FBI upper reaches and in the DoJ. And prison time needs to be generously spread around.

Barr was just interviewed by Gerry Baker of the WSJ and his comments are devastating. He was emphatic that Horowitz said he found no documentary evidence of bias but Barr said that his conclusion was just that he couldn't prove it but it could well be the determination of a broader investigation like John Durham's. He also clearly explained how the predicate for the Crossfire Hurricane spying was the Steele dossier which the FBI had already determined was complete garbage from the original source. The FBI repeatedly committed a fraud and the FISA court both by using the dossier itself and not telling the court of the exculpatory evidence and interviews with the source that debunked it all.
He was very circumspect in stating that no one can be indicted unless the government has evidence beyond a reasonable doubt beforehand. This is a high bar but he was pretty clear that a fraud was committed by people that are no longer with the government.

His actual quote about indictments was, "These things take time.". And then he just smiled.

I thank God we have someone like AG Barr on our side. I had begun to believe our whole system of government was as corrupt as Ukraine.
Those poor people. Imagine their level of despair that truth, justice and righteous would ever be seen in their poor country again. Corruption is such an evil thing and it spreads out like oil on water to pervert everything it touches.
I just hope and pray this scandal will bring down the mighty who conceive and order the corruption along with the poor saps who put the deeds into motion.
Hillary baby, I’m looking at you. Along with your evil henchmen Brennan, Comey, Clapper and all the rest. May the wrath of our God of the Old Testament pour down upon your heads and the heads of all you love.
Good and hard.

I got excited about what Rush said today, but alas, doubt is setting in. I have a hard time jumping on the go Barr, go Durham train after the IG report and how everyone got a little something to work with to keep the game going. Wake me when it's over.
