More than 500 law professors say
Trump committed ‘impeachable conduct’

More than 500 legal scholars have signed on to an open letter asserting that President Trump committed “impeachable conduct” and that lawmakers would be acting well within their rights if they ultimately voted to remove him from office. The signers are law professors and other academics from universities across the country, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Michigan and many others. The open letter was published online Friday by the nonprofit advocacy group Protect Democracy. “There is overwhelming evidence that President Trump betrayed his oath of office by seeking to use presidential power to pressure a foreign government

Comments:

I only posted this to show the list of "elitist" schools (Usual Suspects) that show total ignorance of the Constitution in this impeachment matter. They've reduced it down to "feelings and self-opinions" Note: parent. If you are still STUPID enough to go into debt for your spawn to go to any of these "propaganda" institutions, you deserve the future commie in your family.

It is more than sad that once great institutions have been thoroughly corrupted by Marxists and so-called 'democratic socialists' (that is an oxymoron if there ever was one). But it is no great surprise. Fortunately no one listens to them anymore.

Yeah, no bias in academia. Here in what used to be conservative Orange County, CA, UC Irvine started a law school, brought in a flaming liberal to head it up. the local fishwrap gave him a weekly column, and last year a UCI law professor stole a congressional seat via ballot harvesting. Not sure WaPo noted it (and don't really want to give them my clicks), but 500 law professors don't make the decision, 100 senators do.

I am confident that 500 law professors could also be located to support decriminalization of pederasty if someone whipped up a petition. The utter destruction of the value of liberal arts and professional education as it is currently offered in the U.S. is one of the worst crimes of the left. Our universities may be irreparable for decades to come (assuming we last that long as a society.)

500 law professors, every one of whom donated to Hillary Clinton and despises Donald Trump. This is such an old hat Leftist ploy. We're so used to the noise from the usual suspects, that we can't even hear it anymore.Let them spend their money on this nonsense. It will just take away from what they can afford to donate to whatever loser the Democrats eventually nominate to be their presidential candidate.

I'm sure there are many more competent law professors like Jonathan Turley who are not participating in this biased publicity stunt. All of this wasted two years since the midterms is the direct result of "moderate" and "independent" voters being conned by a Democrat bait-and-switch scam and stampeded by a universal anti-Trump media blitz into voting for Democrat House candidates giving them the majority. They all promised they would act as a "check and balance" against an "out of control" President and focus on the people's business. And, like Lucy does to Charlie Brown, they lied and pulled the football out of the way once again. Twice fooled, shame on me should apply but, as Einstein quipped, the 2 most abundant things in the Universe are hydrogen and stupidity. If you haven't figured out by now that the Democrat party is a RICO organization whose mission is to protect the power and pensions of their union members at the expense of any other constituency then you should probably back away from the voting booth before you hurt yourself.

The U.S. military believes the unarmed drone that went missing over the Libyan capital last month was actually shot down by Russian air defenses. The U.S. Africa Command is demanding the return of the aircraft's wreckage, which had been part of an operation conducted in Libya to assess the area's security and monitor for violent extremist activity. The command didn't give a reason for the drone loss after the Nov. 21 incident, but they had been investigating, Reuters reported. Army General Stephen Townsend told the outlet he believed Russia's air defense operators at the time "didn't know it was a U.S. remotely piloted aircraft when they fired on it."

Washington - Congress is nearing a deal on paid parental leave for federal employees, according to four sources familiar with the negotiations. It's a significant development for government workers but one that highlights the disparity with most American workers, who still aren’t given paid leave. The agreement would give 2.1 million non-military federal workers 12 weeks of paid leave to care for a newborn or adopted child or to care for a family member, according to sources familiar with the details of the discussions. If passed, the bill would the become first time the federal government has guaranteed civilian employees access to paid parental leave.

Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg is thinking ahead. Should he win the election, his longtime live-in girlfriend would accompany him to the White House and become “de facto first lady.” Mr. Bloomberg revealed his thoughts during a wide-ranging interview Friday with “CBS Good Morning” co-host Gayle King. A network transcript reveals the details. “I want to get to a couple personal issues. Because you would be the first modern-day single president. But we all know in New York, you are not an eligible bachelor. Your significant other, Diana Taylor, is a very accomplished, highly respected, highly admired woman. Would she be our de facto first lady?

Sen. Kamala Harris would have been an excellent president. But it was never going to happen. The elephant in the room was just too big. She is a woman and she is black. And in the aftermath of Donald Trump, she never had a chance at gaining the kind of broad support needed to keep her campaign financially viable. That’s why she abruptly withdrew from the race on Tuesday. America isn’t progressive enough to elect a black woman as head of state, any more than it was when Shirley Chisholm ran in 1972. It’s questionable whether our country can elect a woman, period.

John Kerry touted Joe Biden, who has been in government nearly 50 years, as a messianic figure who can single-handedly save the world.Watch the two crooks exit Biden’s tour bus: (Tweet/Video) In a very creepy speech, John Kerry painted Biden as the second coming of Christ — a man who was sent to “put the world back together.” Make no mistake, elitist Democrats like John Kerry and Joe Biden actually believe they are more powerful than God.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday night insisted that she does pray for President Trump, and said it doesn’t bother her if he doesn’t believe her. She also voiced the hope that the Democrats’ push to impeach the president would be carried out in a way worthy of the Founders’ vision for a unified nation. During a CNN town hall in Washington on the day she told the House committees investigating Trump to proceed with articles of impeachment, Jake Tapper

Washington - Congress struck a tentative bipartisan agreement that would authorize 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all federal workers, in a potentially historic deal negotiated with the White House. Draft language for a must-pass annual defense policy bill includes a provision that would allow 2.1 million civilians who work for the U.S. government across the country to take paid leave to care for a new baby after birth, adoption or the initiation of foster care, (Snip) Eric Ueland, White House legislative affairs director, said Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and senior adviser, played a key role in negotiating the tentative deal “and lobbied extensively for the provision.”

Joe Biden is 77 and ought to actually remember when President Harry S. Truman popularized: "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." His wretched performance in an encounter with an Iowa voter who challenged him, melting down and flying off the handle, tells voters he never absorbed that political lesson. Either he's either stupid or he has trouble remembering things. (snip) The former vice president is obviously having problems with handling challenges, something any experienced pol can do with ease

Oscar-winning actress and climate activist Emma Thompson has seen the future and behold, it is grim. She warned Thursday the “climate crisis” means Britons must prepare for “crop failures” and the prospect of eating their own pets to survive a future of cataclysmic weather events, great suffering and injustice. The star, 60, spoke outside the BBC Broadcasting House in central London at an Extinction Rebellion protest to deliver her warning to followers, claiming “general consensus does suggest there is an imminent crisis forecast.” As she braced herself in front of two maps, held up by activists in swimming cap and goggles, that showed areas at risk of flooding by 2030,

In the spring and fall migration seasons each year, billions of birds wind through the central U.S. as they soar the skies between Latin America and Canada. For many, the journey is deadly. Recent research from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in New York estimates that a whopping 600 million birds in the U.S. die every year after crashing into tall buildings. And for traveling birds, Chicago — where a skyline of glass and steel stretches across a heavily trafficked migration route — may be the most perilous of all U.S. cities. Many strike the windows of McCormick Place, the largest convention

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), high Chancellor of the Trump impeachment effort, might be getting away with murder. The impeachment circus that has engulfed D.C. has overshadowed the House Intelligence Committee chair’s egregious abuse of power. He executed a secret subpoenas adventure of phone records of prominent Republicans. He got their phone records and published them in the committee’s 300-page impeachment report. Now, the report is a work of fiction. Schiff is a liar, and nothing from House Democrats on this whole fiasco should be believed. This isn’t about the Constitution, or the framers, or the rule of law. It’s not about upholding the integrity of our institutions;    Source corrected
