In an opinion article penned Thursday, George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley claimed that his home and office were flooded with “threatening messages and demands that I be fired from George Washington University” over opposing President Trump’s impeachment in congressional testimony Wednesday. “I remained a tad naive in hoping that an academic discussion on the history and standards of it might offer a brief hiatus from hateful rhetoric on both sides,” Turley, who was called by Republicans as a witness in the House Judiciary Committee’s Wednesday impeachment hearing, wrote in The Hill.

It is a safe assumption that today's demwits will respond with all of the intellectual drive and emotional maturity of a two year old. This does not surprise me at all. What IS somewhat surprising is how Turley could have missed this inevitable and completely predictable tantrum.

Is it still illegal to make threats? It makes you wonder what the dems would have done to Turley if he had voted for Trump.

Once again the "tolerant" left exhibits the truth of their intolerance. Turley was the only sane and sensible "witness" yesterday. But the derangement runs so deep with liberal/progressive/socialists that they can't see reasonableness, even from one of their own. I think we've passed the point of return to truth and justice. Sad. The loud and looney minority is proving their tyranny. MAGA!!! KAG!!! Trump 2020--let's salvage at least four more years.

The democrats are unreachable by facts, reason or evidence. They are running on pure emotion, hate. Professor Turley is naive if he believes that the likes of Schiff, Pelosi, Nadler, Green, et al., will ever hear anything but their own warped and twisted calls for impeachment. They are committed and will not stop until they are forced to and that my dear friends is our job. We must go to the polls in 2020 in massive numbers. We must everyone of us cast our ballot as if we were standing at Concord declaring our independence. It is that important. We have one chance to take this country back and we cannot fail to step up and do our duty.

I did not listen to these bogus so called knowledgeable professors, have only caught bits and pieces of what they said. What I have not heard from anyone is a Constitutional meaning for this so called impeachment. Not a word so far of what the Framers and Ratifiers had to say about this. I fully realize the Dems don't want that info out, but why aren't the so called Repubs demanding that .

The only good thing about the Democrat shift from Russia to Ukraine is that the issue has shifted from the limits of free speech to the limits of executive authority. Unlike the First Amendment, the separation of powers is at least a legitimate topic for a power struggle between the branches of government. But the House Intelligence Committee's impeachment report continued the ongoing Dem war on attorney-client confidentiality by illegally demanding phone records for Rudy Giuliani, the President's lawyer, from AT&T (the parent company of CNN), which they then also used to track phone calls by Victoria Toensing and Joseph diGenova,

Not many people think of the Ten Commandments these days, unless some group is trying to fight a legal battle to place them on public property.(Snip)When considering the "wealth tax" proposed by presidential candidates Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, the 10th Commandment is particularly relevant: "Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's."One definition of "covet" is: "to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to covet another's property."

The Supreme Court on Friday blocked the Trump administration from resuming federal executions in an attempt to put to death four convicted murderers. The executions were slated to begin next week. The justices upheld a lower court ruling imposed last month after inmates claimed executions by lethal injection would violate federal law. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, D.C., had imposed a temporary injunction on executions, saying they would conflict with federal law. That ruling was upheld Monday by a three-judge federal appeals court.

On November 8, 2019, I noted a strange twist in the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College case. Several months after the verdicts, and a month after the court denied a nearly identical motion by Oberlin College, two Cleveland media outlets plus an Ohio media non-profit group sought to unseal the Facebook records of Allyn D. Sen. Kamala Harris would have been an excellent president. But it was never going to happen. The elephant in the room was just too big. She is a woman and she is black. And in the aftermath of Donald Trump, she never had a chance at gaining the kind of broad support needed to keep her campaign financially viable. That’s why she abruptly withdrew from the race on Tuesday. America isn’t progressive enough to elect a black woman as head of state, any more than it was when Shirley Chisholm ran in 1972. It’s questionable whether our country can elect a woman, period.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), high Chancellor of the Trump impeachment effort, might be getting away with murder. The impeachment circus that has engulfed D.C. has overshadowed the House Intelligence Committee chair’s egregious abuse of power. He executed a secret subpoenas adventure of phone records of prominent Republicans. He got their phone records and published them in the committee’s 300-page impeachment report. Now, the report is a work of fiction. Schiff is a liar, and nothing from House Democrats on this whole fiasco should be believed.
