The modern term that an eager prosecutor can “indict a ham sandwich” was immortalized in the Tom Wolfe novel Bonfire of the Vanities.(Photo) On Wednesday Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Democrats, after years of promises, will vote to impeach President Trump using the ham sandwich option. Democrats are impeaching President Trump over a ham sandwich. They got nothing. They know they’ve got nothing. But they are going to impeach President Trump anyway. On Tuesday in London President Trump said Democrats would impeach him for taking an orange out of the refrigerator.

Even the most die hard liberal acquaintances of mine (I said Liberal, not socialist) think this is just plain stupidity. So I ask them, "When it comes time are you going to vote for STUPID ?" They pause.

Good. Quit talking about it and do it. A totally partisan attempt to overturn an election based on nothing will shine a light on these snakes faster than any Congressional hearing could ever do. Then call in all of the Democrats running for the nomination and start the Senate trial. Drag it out until the Durham indictments start. Or maybe right up until the election. Sit Schiff's rear end in the witness chair and let's see if he is willing to lie under oath. This could be fun.

I hope the Democrats receive payment back 100 times over, then a back up, and roll over again.

“....that an eager prosecutor can “indict a ham sandwich...”
Not if the ham sandwiches were officials in the shockingly corrupt Obama regime. Such sandwiches are allowed to be richly paid analysts on CNBC and CNN so they can continue to conduct their coup against President Trump. And not if the prosecutors are the less than eager Jeff Sessions, John Huber and until shown otherwise, AG Barr and CT prosecutor Durham.

I can tell you one thing: any Republican living in a red state, and who fell hook line and sinker for the Democratic line in 2018, better wise up and dump him/her no matter what the candidate says. The Dems have done NOTHING but try to impeach Trump and also make sure NOTHING he proposes goes through, giving him a win. (For example, the Mexico, Canada trade deal.) The fact that these bills are things we badly need as citizens doesn't matter. Impeach Trump sand the Party is all. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

Democrats were ready to impeach Trump BEFORE he officially became president.
They can't be trusted or be taken seriously any longer. Can't imagine any who could sit on any corporate boards either - Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Democrats are the people who will bring a ham sandwich to a banquet, when filet mignon is the main course.

This is alarmist BS - no one is voting on impeachment Wednesday. Schiff, et al, may recommend impeachment as his committee votes to forward the report to Judiciary...but that's not the same thing.
Pelosi will keep Nadler in line, and I don't see her committing political suicide by reporting out articles of impeachment and holding a floor vote to send them to the Senate for trial. Censure is the likely route. If she does, keep a close eye on Mitch, despite his past utterances. This isn't being done in a vacuum. The ultimate goal of the UNIPARTY is to dump Trump by January '21.

As Nancy Pelosi once said when she was doing some other dirty dealing, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

Not even dramatic "Jaws" music. Just the heavy crunching sound of an unstoppable machine inching up on you.

300 pages of 'evidence' -- I still haven't heard a specific charge of lawbreaking. Just a bunch of Democrat projection and hyperbole, like how shocked somebody was by what he heard, without specifying what that was or how it might be an offense (much less an impeachable one).
