Utah Teacher Fired After Telling Boy

A Utah substitute teacher was fired this month after allegedly criticizing a fifth grade boy who told the class he was thankful for his two adoptive dads. The incident occurred last Friday at the Deerfield Elementary School in Cedar Hills after the sub asked students about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. When the 11-year-old child remarked about his two fathers, she allegedly described two men living together as a sin.

The teacher is theologically correct. It is a sin - but, she was out of order making such a fuss in a classroom. Better to just quickly change the subject by calling on another student to share their thanks. Just my opinion.

She was right, but it wasn't her place to embarrass this child in front of the class. Like #1 said she should have just moved on.

She wasn't hired to provide her personal opinions, particularly with respect to religious issues. Anyone who can't understand that should be fired--they're a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The state of Utah is politically controlled by older males of the old school. BUT, the teachers' union is controlled by a liberal cadre of single females. Even the Mormon single teachers are a good deal more liberal than their married counterparts. Once you hit 40 as a single female the Mormons turn their backs on you as one who is not saveable. Then came the "love bomb." Mormons sneak over to your house when you're out and leave "proof" that you are loved. I have neighbors who this happens to regularly. These gay men got love bombed.

The comments so far give a pretty clear picture of just how and why the country is sinking into a cesspool of degenerate filth. Degenerate behavior should be confronted and pointed out for social criticism and ridicule. To hell with "hurt feelings". It is apparently OK with some if teachers demonstrate the proper techniques of sodomy but not state that it is a sin and an abomination and a gross transgression against natural law. Number 5 is apparently some kind of warped Mormon hater making up nonsense to denigrate some of the few people still attempting to hold to the commandments and follow Christ. This is a form of virtue signaling fully as idiotic and vile as anything from the left. Removing religion from classrooms has had more than a little to do with the moral collapse of our culture. Add to this that religion has not been removed but merely replaced by the paganism of the left which teaches every manner of perversion and idiocy and will not tolerate anything resembling objective truth.

Children. That's a powerful force field to use for your cause. The kid can say how lovely his two homosexual daddies are, or how he believes there's nothing wrong with their lifestyles and nobody can say a thing otherwise - definitely not his teacher, but also all the other kids in his class (and their parents) - because ... Children!

Homosexual behavior is a perversion of natural sex. Such behavior has been condemned for thousands of years. But WE are so "smart" that WE tolerate it. Don't tolerate it.

I totally agree with #'s 1, 2 and 4. While I agree with the teacher's believe that the behavior is wrong, the classroom is not the place to bring it up, and it is not the teacher's place to discuss it with the child. He still has to live his life as it is set. Let her go out and protest or write articles or speak in church. Leave the classroom out of her opinions.

It's not really the teacher's role to comment or intervene in her students' family environment unless it is directly harmful to life.

More than one million Swedes are now taking medication for depression, while a study has found people in Stockholm feel insecure due to surging crime. Around one in ten Swedes now take antidepressants, a number that has doubled over the last two decades, becoming one of the countries with the highest use of antidepressant drugs, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports. Mikael Tiger, a psychiatrist and researcher, stated that there are several reasons for the rise, including cheaper medication and less stigma attached to those who take the drugs. The most significant increase in demand for the drugs has been children aged 10 to 14, but it is

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) is one of the few Democrats who aren’t insane. Yes, that club has lost a lot of members since 2016. She’s still a liberal Democrat, but she’s not nuts. She has noted how identity politics has hijacked her party. She hates it when people generalize all Trump supporters as racist. And she warned her party in 2016 that the Clinton campaign was ignoring the Rust Belt, and her state, at their peril. Now, she’s observing that the overtly partisan public impeachment hearings are pretty much accomplishing what Russia wants with this circus: division. And it’s the Democrats leading that charge because…‘orange man, bad.’

Cable news shows spent countless hours in November wondering how the public testimony of national security officials will affect the impeachment proceedings against President Trump. But few are asking how these proceedings will affect national security in the long term. One potential answer should worry everyone, regardless of your position on Trump: Efforts to turn these officials into political weapons in Congress will put our national security in grave danger. The president trusts the National Security Council and the broader intelligence community to provide him with the best possible information and analysis for decision making that is essential to national security.

There is something about the combination of genuine privilege, Quaker moralism, and macrobiotic diet that makes these particular partisans of peace and tolerance the most vicious and intolerant of their kind but far from the brightest, as in the case of the woman who sniffed that she could hardly endure trips to visit her husband’s family in the South because she was physically

President Trump last week signaled his intention to designate the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTO). In doing so, he takes the most aggressive step yet toward addressing the brutal violence that plagues Mexico and is fueling a migrant crisis at the southern U.S. border. Mexico’s ongoing descent into a gangland is brought into current focus with the horrific murders of six women and children of dual Mexican and American citizenship. This came on the heels of Mexican government forces being routed by the cartels, who were ultimately successful in releasing the son of notorious cartel leader Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. Over several hours, heavily

A Newsweek journalist was terminated Friday after an article entitled, “How is Trump Spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, Golfing, and More” by Jessica Kwong was published Thursday morning. The piece sparked major backlash, as President Trump had actually been landing in Afghanistan, where he surprised American troops for Thanksgiving.
