Candidate Trump was framed for stealing a horse; President Trump was subsequently accused of trying too hard to avoid hanging for it. Prosecutor Mueller eventually conceded that Trump didn’t steal the horse; however, by then the focus was on Trump’s efforts to avoid the hanging. Eventually Mueller testified; it surfaced there was never a horse to begin with… Impeachment was stalled. Prosecutor Jerry Nadler is attempting to resurrect a legal theory that President Trump can still be hung for attempting to avoid the hanging, even if there was no horse theft. Yup, that’s were we’re at. (Snip) Earlier Friday House Judiciary Committee (HJC) Chairman

Schiff and his Intelligence committee got the job because it was an "impeachment inquiry" that had no teeth in the matter of an actual impeachment. At worst, Schiff, et al, will write a silly report that will be knocked down quickly, and still serve the purpose. It will likely lead not to impeachment, but censure, with all sorts of bombshell-appropriate histrionics in the lead up to its "bi-partisan" passage in mid-January, with help of some GOPe retiree(s) with nothing to lose.
The objective at this point is to drive down PDT's approval numbers below 40 percent...allowing a White Knight challenger to primary. Then, with a handful of delegates, the challenger can pull a Pat Buchanan, claiming to represent a significant portion of Republicans key to victory, demanding a prime time speech, etc. Presidents who have survived a primary challenge have not historically done well in November...the mission now is to to deny re-election, not impeach.

I doubt if the Democrats seriously think they could cause a serious primary challenge to Trump. His approval rating among Republicans is 95%. I think Pelosi gave in to the pressure from the far-left wing of her party. They probably hoodwinked her by telling her Trump explicitly threatened to withhold aid unless the Ukrainians investigated the Bidens. When the transcript was released, she saw she had been played. This whole spectacle will only benefit Adam Schiff with his leftist base, along with Auntie Maxine and the squad.

Well, there's always the Uniparty response: stall . . . stall again . . . ignore . . . run out the clock . . . lose paperwork . . . etc.
Even I know how to do that. It's been on display in Congress for many, many years now.

They are trying to figure out how to impeach Trump in the House but not let the Republican controlled Senate have hearings in that chamber. The Senate trial will not only tie-up presidential candidates, but deliver a black eye to 'Honest Joe' and his lumbering campaign.

Hey Jeromey Homey that sound you are hearing (which you are having sleepless nights over) is the ever silent and dangerous creature that's tracking you and your party, Why its none other then the Great American Grizzly Barr. Please attack and impeach him, Durham and Horowitz. It the only option left. Nobody is even talking about the elephant in the room. How can you have an election with a party (including Obama) who colluded with the Mueller Team (Weissman and Rhee) to remove a duly elected President? I don't think so. I think the only question to be answered is when and where the Tribunal will be held. I vote for Club GITMO.

#3 - It's not the Dems thinking they could cause a serious primary challenge to Trump. It's the UNIPARTY, which includes leadership of both chambers of Congress. PDT is an existential threat to their profiteering, that's presuming the American public can still muster outrage over corruption.
Just keep an eye on the Bill Weld campaign if PDT's approval drops below 40%, and recall the effect Pat Buchanan's '92 campaign had on Bush41's re-election effort...it doesn't take much. Oh, Poppy Bush lost to Bill Clinton. His Gallup approval after the first Persian Gulf War was 89% NATIONALLY.

Poor old Jerry. First the “impeachment inquiry” gets handed to Schiffless because Nancy knows that Jerry would botch it. No good at hearings. Now he gets to clean up after feckless Schiffless, who failed miserably… Ship of fools...
