to New York’s red flag laws

On Friday, police showed up to a young man’s workplace and tried to arrest him over social media posts reported to them by an old army buddy of the 28-year-old Afghanistan veteran. This man, known as Alex and popular on Instagram under the handle of WhiskeyWarrior556, slipped out of the back door, hurried home to check on his family where he found out police had already forced themselves into his home and confiscated his legal firearms after threatening his wife with calling child protective services to remove her newborn child. Alex then barricaded himself inside his own attic, unarmed. Law enforcement

Jackbooted storm troopers, without the slightest due process, on a totally unsubstantiated "tip", wipe out a person's civil rights, and if he had resisted significantly, they WOULD have killed him. A "high capacity magazine" which is actually a NORMAL capacity magazine, now a criminal offense to own in NY state. These laws are unconstitutional - "...shall not be infringed". This is a definite infringement.

I feel they are pushing us to resist. Taking a man's child because he might have a 30 round mag. A mag that was, more than likely, legal when he purchased. Coming to his home and place of work to destroy his reputation. How far will they go to get us to push back? I want to know what the police felt when they destroyed the Constitution?

This incident is beyond outrageous. Murderers, rapists, thieves, drug pushers are active all over and this police department puts all of those deadly resources out there to nail a veteran who might have a magazine that does not meet Cuomo's size requirements. The slightest resistance would have resulted in the death of this man. There are times when the police or more likely their management are not doing a good common sense job.

FTA: ''...what are the next rights to be taken? After all, our rights to speech or religion, or even DUE PROCESS itself...'' [Caps mine] You may want to ask President Trump about that due process thing.

We all want to support the police, but then they do something like this. I'm starting to think there are more enemies of liberty than friends. I know, they are just doing their job. So were the gestapo.

"reported to them by an old army buddy"... That's former army buddy. Anybody who would do this is no friend, and these laws are beyond terrible and un-Constitutional. Why haven't any gone to the Supreme Court yet? They should all be struck down yesterday.

How horrifying for this young man. He has more honor than those jackboots who tried to arrest him. Same with that supposed buddy of his who turned him in. Is this going to turn out to be the new trend in SWAT now? Supposed friends turning on their friends and putting them into the line of fire? You know who used to do this? The paranoids of the USSR. Only in their case they got a record album or a pair of western made blue jeans.

The police and all law enforcement should be very wary. There are way too many armed civilians that are sick and tired of this behavior from the so called police. What is going to happen one of these days is someone who has lost everything due to police malfeasance is going to stake out the people that did him wrong and with nothing lest to lose but ones life, it's kill or be killed. This cr@p has to stop before it leads to a civil war against all law enforcement. MSgt USAF (ret)

Victims of Red Flag Laws make picking the 'low hanging fruit' easy for cops. A whole lot easier than taking down drug rings, and if the victim fires back at the cops, the gun grabbers will have their 'proof' that more gun laws work.

No matter how much you rationalize this “law”, it is totally unconstitutional and relegates NY into a police state! This is truly the reason why the Second Amendment was created to in the first place; to protect the people from a totalitarian government! Gird your loins and prepare as this is going to get worse soon!

I hope someone takes this all the way to SCOTUS if necessary. Then sue everyone involved. The police should have checked to see if there were any REAL mental health issues, instead of going on the word of an unqualified person, who may be 'mentally ill' themselves. Sue... Them... All...

And some think law enforcement will be on our side. These Yankee states are becoming more and more the enemy of the people with each passing day. Sheriffs, SWAT team and local police? Seriously? But, they can't confiscate the arsenals of untrained gang banger organizations. They get handled with kid gloves; we have to buy back their guns. Whatever the heck buy back means.

Using today, November 24, 2019, as Day One, let's start a countdown to the day our GeheimeStaatsPolizei (Gestapo) uses these Red Flag laws to invade the home, threaten the family and take the propery and civil rights of the first, dare we utter the word, Muslim-- peace be upon him. I'm laying heavy odds our political system and our police are so cowed and beaten by Islam that that day will NEVER come.

NRA? Wake up. Skip a month with the free trucks and membership gifts and FIGHT this. That is really the only reason you exist. Instead Wayne will use this as another reason to give him more money. I know the reasons to be a member, but really tired of being ignored by an organization that crows about defending our gun rights.

During an earlier campaign stop in Wilmington, Delaware Joe Biden went off script. He went WAY OFF script. While speaking to a black audience Joe Biden suddenly started babbling about children stroking his hairy legs in the pool and how much he loves to have children on his lap. Also something about roaches? Joe Biden: And by the way I sit on a stand, I got hot, I got hairy legs that turn, that, that, that, turn blond in the sun. And the kids used to come up and reach in and pull and rub my legs, and watch the hairs rise up again.

While the delegation will include members of both the House and Senate, it will not be bipartisan, as only Democrats will be attending. Billy Dee Williams, who's set to reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, has come out as gender fluid. The 82-year-old actor revealed in an interview with Esquire that he uses both 'himself' and 'herself.' The actor showed off his effortless cool by indicating he 'wasn't afraid to show that side' of himself. While speaking with Matt Miller, Billy Dee opened up about his comfortable feelings on gender. 'You see I say "himself" and "herself," because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine,' he revealed. 'I’m a very soft person. I’m not afraid to show that side of myself.'

Host Martha Raddatz noted that no investigation into the Bidens ever happened and Ukraine received its military aid anyway, but Demings maintained that it was irrelevant.“You’re going to make me go back to my law enforcement experience.

She must have looked good enough to eat. A jovial Joe Biden nipped his wife Jill’s finger onstage Saturday at a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa, as she introduced him at the first stop of an eight-day, 800-mile road trip through the first-to-caucus state. As Jill Biden flung an arm wide to make a point, her husband theatrically dodged her hand — then, on a second pass, gave her a playful chomp on her fingertip. She took the nibble in stride, laughing along with a crowd of about 200 supporters.

Next year, Democrats will control both houses of Virginia’s state Legislature as well as its governorship. On November 18, State Sen. Dick Saslaw introduced a bill that he will sponsor in the 2020 legislative session. That bill will outlaw not only the sale or transfer but also the possession of certain firearms. Saslaw’s bill — SB 16 — provides that “It is unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, purchase, possess or transport an assault firearm” and makes such actions a Class 6 felony. (In Virginia, Class 6 felonies are punishable by imprisonment for between one and five years.)

A church in Michigan denied Holy Communion to a state district court judge because she is married to a woman. Judge Sara Smolenski, the chief judge of Michigan’s 63rd District Court, received a call from the priest at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, requesting she not attend communion. “This is not about me against the priest, and it’s not really me against the church,” Smolenski told CNN. “This feels like selective discrimination. Why choose gay people, and why now?” (Snip) Because you and Linda are married in the state of Michigan, I’d like you to respect the church and not come to communion.'”

Buckingham Palace has been decontaminated. Prince Andrew’s office has been closed down. Any chair he sat in has been reupholstered, all doorknobs swabbed down. Let’s not even talk about the bathrooms. I can’t remember a time when the royal family’s damage control was so swift and absolute. Priests are excommunicated with less haste and more mercy than Andrew in the wake of his disastrous BBC Epstein-related interview, and its ever-cascading fallout. But I detect the odor of scapegoating and hypocrisy in the decisive role that Prince Charles has played in this purge against his brother.

The first Christians were not complainers, Pope Francis said Saturday, because “sad people are not Christians.” “We think of the first Christians, who had everyone against them, who were persecuted and yet they didn’t complain about the world,” the pope told participants in an international conference on evangelization taking place in Rome. “Reading the New Testament, we see that they were not concerned with defending themselves against an empire that put them to death, but with announcing Jesus, even at the cost of their lives,” he said. The pontiff also had strong words against defeatism and pessimism, urging his hearers to be joyful in witnessing to Christ.

There must’ve been something in the water back in 2012, because everyone on the top of the ballot turned out to be even worse than we originally thought. Barack Obama’s legacy is shot, being destroyed by President Trump and the radical left who now view him (laughably) as a conservative. Joe Biden doesn’t know where he is half the time, the other half has his campaign staff wishing he were somewhere else. Paul Ryan was a feckless Speaker of the House who cut bait and ran once he was free to push all the things he’d sworn for years were his deeply held beliefs.
