WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Mark Esper has fired the secretary of the Navy in connection with the controversy over a SEAL whose case has been championed by President Donald Trump. A Pentagon spokesman says in a statement Sunday that Esper has lost trust and confidence in Navy Secretary Richard Spencer “regarding his lack of candor” over conversations with the White House involving the handling of the SEAL case. Spokesman Jonathan Hoffman says Spencer submitted his resignation at Esper’s request.
Who's next? Any 0bama holdovers hiding in the wings?

In the US military there is a chain of command and Trump is at the top. In private any soldier is free to speak their mind but it is long-standing policy that one is not free to publicly criticize the President. His dismissal was a foregone conclusion.

See. I told you it would work out. President Trump, our wise communicator-in-chief, tweeted his displeasure and told them to get back to work! Then he went hands off. I was confident that a strong message had been delivered to “do the right thing”… That’s how Esper took it and he zapped Spencer. Kaboom.
Our President is indeed a stable genius.

Don't understand why keeping his trident was even an issue. The CO of a ship involved in a mishap doesn't loose his warfare pin. Petty Officer Gallagher earned his trident, something very few humans can do. Leave him alone. MAG.

Secretary Spencer was a civilian in a civilian job. The President was his boss. He should have learned by now that you don’t mess with PDJT.

Whether Spencer actually said those words of insubordination to the NYT on the national stage or not, he should have been smart enough to know NEVER TRUST THE PRESS. He gave them the opportunity to print Fake News.
We don't need a dupe like that running the Navy

Spencer is probably headed to Adam Schiff’s Office as there has to be an impeachable offense there in the weeds someplace?
The President of the USA gave the sailor Gallagher a complete pardon. Then the Secretary of the Navy stepped in with some retaliation against Gallagher by trying to take an achievement badge away from Gallagher, saying that before he would stop the process to take the man’s badge away he would need a written Presidential order to that affect! He had to be kidding!

A few Admirals and hanger on lawyers/commanders need to be put out to pasture with NO RETIREMENT!
It is clear that Leftist ideas have polluted the Military. Your job is to blow up stuff and kill the enemy, not to persecute our warrior heroes!

The SecNav job isn't too complicated to do, but one thing you really do need to see to is NOT ANGERING THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF.
This was a test, he flunked.
