NEW HAVEN, Conn.— The 136th edition of The Game between Harvard and Yale has been delayed at halftime after protesters took over the field. Students from both schools occupied midfield after the Yale band had finished performing. Some held banners asking their colleges to act on climate change and Puerto Rican debt relief. “Hey hey, ho ho, fossil fuels have got to go,” some protesters chanted. (Video) After a few minutes, hundreds more people stream onto the field. A public address announcement asked them to leave “as a courtesy to the players.”

If they didn't walk or pedal their bikes to the game then they should shut up, behave themselves and thank God for a warm bed at night.

This sort of nonsense disgusts me. I didn’t like it when my generation did it in the 60’s. As the saying goes, “Your rights end where my rights begin.” Protesting should always be done in a legal, respectable manner.

Am a huge fan of fossil fuels. Car requires gas and oil, fossil fuels. House uses natural gas for the furnace, hot water heater, stove and fireplace, fossil fuel. So it the Creeping Climate Change Creeps get their way I'll have to ride a mule, take cold shower, eat raw food, and run in circles waving my arms like Beto to get warm in the winter. Harvard and Yale could have solved this problem by expelling each of the scholars.

The protestors were able to draw attention to a serious problem, namely how did so many obnoxious idiots get accepted into these formerly prestigious Ivy League schools? In a sane world, all of them would be expelled and any faculty who participated fired on the spot.

I’ve been to that game when it was at New Haven. A very festive occasion. These killjoys were probably not appreciated...

They still haven't revealed what they would do about volcanos. An eruption puts mores types of particulates and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than humans ever thouht of doing.

Most of their parents moved to Canada during the sixties. The draft, you recall. Unlike me and perhaps you, who stayed and volunteered. In retrospect, perhaps, a stupid “conflict”. The Vietnamese don’t think so, being presently still under commnunist rule. But If these punk students are so upset, please move to a country more comfortable to them. An “ivy league” degree should be a mark of shame.

So, these protestors use absolutely NO "fossil fuels" in their lives. For transportation, lighting, heating/air conditioning, plastics, etc.

That's what I thought.

In this day and age of school shootings, how did so many people get past security and onto the field? The security team should be fired and every one of those students should be in jail or at least suspended from school. If consequences were brought to bear maybe this nonsense would stop. The Constitution does NOT guarantee that you can do or say whatever you want without consequences.

The Yale Bowl in New Haven is one of the original old time college football venues. I remember as a boy attending a football game there between Army and Yale back when Army was a football powerhouse after the Second World War. I am not sure but I believe that Army beat Yale about 48-0. There were no such protests back then.

This is about as bad as having to listen to the 60 Minutes promos during the Georgia game. "...the Russians hacked the election in 2016. Can they do it again?" Watch 60 Minutes to find out. NOT.
