The 5-year-old boy who was thrown from a Mall of America third-floor balcony and survived is "walking perfectly" and could be off his medication soon.
The family of Landen Hoffman gave an update about the boy on a GoFundMe page, saying the open wound on his belly had “finally scabbed over and new skin is growing.”“Mom has been doing everything she can to speed up the healing of his wound and working toward getting off some of his medications,” the post said.

Thank you, Lord, thank you. God bless all the doctors, the nurses, and everyone who cared for this beautiful little boy.

Good news. I hope the boy's father gets a chance to talk with the guy who did this alone.

I am familiar with the family as I have a good friend at their church in Brooklyn Park. They are a wonderful family. There have been major physical miracles. The nurses and physicians are in awe of what God has done.

Thanks for the inside info #3. I see Gods hand in this boys recovery. I also think this would make a good movie but I doubt it will happen given a muzzie is the protagonist.

Fantastic news, I'm sure that millions of prayers had to help.
A real shame that the thug only got 19 years.

FTA: "...(t)he man said he had been rejected by women for years, which caused him to "lash out and be aggressive."
Apologies, but editorially while I understand this may be a statement associated with the man sentenced, a, "fact," so to speak (meaning a fact the statement was made, not that the statement was true); again, editorially speaking more salient facts about the sentenced criminal-- his country of origin, neighborhood, past criminal history, religion, political affiliation-- almost any factual and verifiable statement about who he was, what he was, where he was from, why he did what he did, when did his aggressive behavior first became manifest, and how he was able to execute his crime, would be more valuable than this odd, hearsay, unverifiable, Oprahfied tale of sensitivity gone dark.
Sorry for not caring that because girls hurt his feelings this adult male black Muslim sociopath almost killed a little white Christian boy by throwing him from an open-air shopping mall atrium four stories down to a concrete floor.
Like #2 wrote, if this were my little boy I don't care if my son was a well-adjusted 26-year-old Marine and I was pushing sixty, I'd make sure I was just outside the prison door, awaiting his release, whenever it came, for when this guy emerged. I'd have something to talk to him about.

If all of this is true, then the family should throw us a bone and show the little boy walking to class. They can obscure anything with a blur that would compromise his privacy. The public is emotionally invested in this child and many people have been incredibly supportive. Seeing a living miracle would be amazing for a lot of people.

I will say that this little boy is probably set for some life experience that God has saved him for - he has a greater purpose. You read stories - a book I read not long ago was about miraculous life saves of soldiers in WWI - a bullet bouncing off head gear that should have gone through, but hit the man behind. The one who was hit went to discover XYZ. Hugely informative pieces. The Lord saved those who had a greater life plan - and I think this kid will do something incredible with his life.

This is nothing short of a miracle. What a Christmas gift to his family.

I cried after reading this, I remember when this happened, I didn't think this child would ever recover. This is just the kind of story we all need to hear going into the holidays. Be thankful for what you've been given.
