The attorney for Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday that the Navy is trying to humiliate his client by potentially taking away his SEAL Trident, as President Trump reaffirmed his support for the embattled soldier. "This is an action that they could have taken at any time from July right after the verdict, until today," his lawyer Tim Parlatore said. "President Trump takes action on a Friday afternoon — Monday morning, the admiral [Adm. Collin Green] comes in and brings everybody together and says 'I disagree with the president, we're going to take his Trident.'"

Commander-In-Chief doing Commander-In-Chief things... thank you, Sir! We are behind you and plan to be "cheering" you for another 5+ years and then, either Vice President Pence or Don Jr!

If you disagree with the President, hand in your commission and get out. Don't even look back! This is ridiculous.

You can't take away a man's school accomplishments while in the military. You might not like it, but you can't take it away, unless there's incontrovertible evidence of cheating or special assistance given... like the two females who made it through Ranger School during Obama's last year in office. They couldn't even pass the qualification physical, which is the easy part, but were allowed to continue and had personal "handlers" that walked with them every step of the way to make sure they weren't "discriminated against." Now that's disgusting.

Outspoken, public disagreement with your boss used to be career ending in the military. Obviously that is no longer the case or this guy would be cleaning out his desk and turning in his parking pass by now.

If adm green is truly concerned about about honor, then the honorable action for him to take at this point would be to resign from his command and then quietly retire.

FTA~ Monday morning, the admiral [Adm. Collin Green] comes in and brings everybody together and says 'I disagree with the president, we're going to take his Trident.'"
Uh, no Admiral. The President is your Boss. He can fire you anytime he wants. So if you want to keep your stars suck it up and salute and say "Yes sir, Petty Officer 1st Class Gallagher will keep his Trident and his rating. Is there anything else I can do?"
They don't make Admirals like they used to.
Didn't Ike fire MacArthur for insubordination? IIRC it was about a much bigger deal than some PO's Trident.

Trump needs to have about 3 or 4 admirals and a couple of captains resignations on his desk tomorrow morning and he should reduce their ranks.

So a lowly 2 Star has decided that he is above the POTUS? I would suggest a demotion to Its Lt. with a commensurate pay cut and a cut in retirement benefits. Then...don't dismiss him...put him on a ship that patrols Antartica! Enjoy the rest of your career, LT! How did the 2 star earn his rank, anyway? Just curious?

With regard to this admiral it's time for President Trump to bring back those two famous words from The Apprentice......"You're Fired". See how the admiral likes that.

A demotion maybe or possibly a new assignment. Maybe permanently assign Admiral Green to some out of the way and exceptionally uncomfortable naval base to shuffle papers and shoo away polar bears or sand fleas.

A Navy 2 Star Admiral publicly disagreeing with the Commander in Chief on a presidential pardon and then attempting to go around the pardon to take away a sailor’s already earned accomplishment never has been an asset for career advancement in the Navy. This particular politicized Admiral should read about what happened to 5 Star General Douglas McArthur after he publicly disagreed with President Truman on policy matters back during the Korean era. But then again maybe Adam Schiff will designate this Admiral as a whistleblower and call him to testify to shield him from presidential action. It’s really time for that Admiral to take an extended trip abroad to inspect Navy Seals all over the world before he retires. Back during the Second World War if certain military officers were as insubordinate to Franklin D. Roosevelt as they appear to be with President Trump these days on policy matters, it is doubtful if the Normandy Invasion would have been able to be successfully launched without the Nazis gaining prior knowledge through politically staged leaks.
