Major Report Says Drug-Resistant Superbugs
Are Already Killing More People Than Feared

Drug-resistant germs sicken about 3 million people every year in the United States and kill about 35,000, representing a much larger public health threat than previously understood, according to a long-awaited report released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The new estimates show that, on average, someone in the United States gets an antibiotic-resistant infection every 11 seconds, and every 15 minutes, someone dies. Bacteria, fungi and other germs that have developed a resistance to antibiotics and other drugs pose one of the gravest public health challenges and a baffling problem for modern medicine.

What do you bet that there is a direct correlation between the illegal immigration, and the importation of refugees from the third world countries where antibiotics are sold over the counter and handed out like candy and bacteria, fungi and other germs that have developed a resistance to antibiotics killing people in the US?

While slathering anti-bacterial goop on your hands and wiping tables with 99.9% effective germ killer towelettes, give a thought to the 0.1% that survive. They're pretty tough critters. Back when it was thought a little smut never killed anyone. Today we try to live in a bubble, and fail to see the potential consequences.

Any bug will be a ''super bug'' to a deficient immune system. We used to live and play in the dirt, waters, and woods. We drank fresh milk. We ate from our gardens. We raised our meat without steroids and antibiotics. Now we live and play in sanitized facilities, eat processed food full of antibiotics, and have traded the natural environment for a more urban environment full of pollutants. Our immune systems don't have the opportunity to fully protect us any more.

We haven't had a deadly epidemic in a long time. Amazingly, studies have shown that silver kills any "bug" immediately. The royals escaped the plague in medieval Europe because they drank wine for silver chalices. The silver metal leeched into the wine in sufficient quantity to turn their skin a bluish tint, hence the term for the wealthy as, "blue bloods."

Americans, in general, wash their hands frequently. As we add more foreign medical staff who don't, you see more infections in hospitals. How many STD's come from being raped by illegals? FL has an epidemic of Hep A. You don't see it in the news.

It's all part of the UN's Agenda 21 agreement to reduce the world population, starting with the U.S. Why do you think Medicare for All is all about? Reduce doctors, make patients wait for an appointment until they die, no medical research, etc. Do you get the picture yet?

We now know Michael Bloomberg is going to run for president. He’s turning himself into a pander bear. During his three terms as New York City’s mayor, Bloomberg was famous for dismissing politically correct criticism and refusing to apologize for it. But there he was on Sunday at an African-American megachurch in Brooklyn saying he was sorry for the stop-and-frisk policy he used so successfully to break the back of crime and reduce the murder rate in New York City by 50 percent. Under stop-and-frisk, police officers were authorized to search people if they were suspected of illegal activity while carrying a weapon. Critics said the practice

California Democrats have been cutting six-figure checks to promote the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPV) in Colorado ahead of a referendum vote in the state next November. The NPV would change how the Electoral College operates without amending the Constitution. It pledges a state's Electoral College votes to the candidate receiving the most votes nationwide in a presidential election. The Colorado political committee Yes on National Popular Vote has collected just under $750,000 since its creation in late July. Over 98 percent of that money is from California donors, most of which is courtesy of a $500,000 donation from Stephen Silberstein, a board member of the National Popular Vote

Regardless of what President Trump does, the media are quick to find “experts” to condemn his action. They’re doing that right now to the president’s decision to grant clemency to three military men — two Army officers, one of whom was a special forces major, and one Navy chief petty officer who was a SEAL operator. The “experts” are whining that Trump’s intervention in these cases interferes with the military justice system under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) as well as military order and discipline. In at least two of the three cases — those against former Army Lt. Clint Lorance

It all started with a business deal gone bad. In 1963, Henry Ford II, "the Deuce," decided he wanted Ford Motor Company to go racing. The only problem: Ford didn't have a sports car in its portfolio. The quickest way to acquire a sports car, the Deuce thought, was to buy Ferrari, then a race car company that only sold street-legal machines to fund its track exploits. Ford sent an envoy to Modena, Italy, to hash out a deal with Enzo Ferrari. The Americans offered $10 million, but as the negotiations neared their conclusion, Ferrari balked at a clause in the contract that said Ford would control the budget

Three witnesses, 11 hours of testimony and endless squabbling between Republicans and Democrat Adam Schiff. That’s the bare-bones tally of the first two days of public impeachment hearings. Along the way, patient viewers learned many things, some interesting but none decisive. So we don’t know the final score, but we do know the big loser. America, in a landslide. Make that a mudslide. With apologies to the late President Gerald Ford, we are in engaged in a new national nightmare as one party — and one party only — tries to remove the president of the United States. As distasteful as that is, it is even more remarkable

Unlike John, I don’t consider the impeachment proceedings against President Trump a farce. However, aspects of the proceedings are farcical. Today, while Marie Yovanovitch, ambassador to Ukraine until Trump sacked her, was testifying before Adam Schiff’s committee, the president tweeted some negative things about her. He wrote: Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors. This is mild stuff by Trumpian standards. However, Democrats promptly,

Patrick's brother-in-law Bernard Sigh was first convicted of spousal rape in 1993 and was again convicted of raping Patrick's sister earlier this year, The Washington Post reported. Patrick in 2014 said that he had forced out two Sex Offender Registry Board officials over their attempts to overturn a hearing officer's decision to keep Sigh off the registry, arguing that the officials' actions were not appropriate, according to the Post.

Pity the poor billionaires. Democratic presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren is vigorously promoting her proposed wealth tax aimed at the super rich whom she says don’t pay their fair share. It isn’t really a “billionaire tax” — the levies kick in at 2% annually on households with a net worth of $50 million, rising to 6% for those with a net worth of a billion dollars or more. And unlike income taxes, this covers every form of wealth and property, even “yachts, jewelry and fine art,” held in the United States or abroad. It takes class warfare to a whole new — and probably illegal — level. Fellow candidate Bernie Sanders

Using personality data from British and American participants, a team of experts tested regional levels of fear, anxiety and anger, comparing them to the traits historically correlated with political orientation. In the 50 US counties, there was a nine percent increase in Republican votes from 2012 to 2016 and those with the lowest fear and anxiety showed a shift of only 2 percent. Similar findings were uncovered in the 50 UK districts with the highest levels of fear and anxiety

CNN reports that in a private meeting this week, top Democrats conceded that the polls on impeachment were unlikely to shift, and that their basic message is failing to break through for huge swaths of Americans. This is very close to admitting that their ultimate goal, of removing president Trump from office will not be achieved. The reason this would mean game over for the removal effort is that only a significant uptick for impeachment in polling, especially among Republicans who have been rock solid in support of Trump, could lead to GOP votes to convict in the senate.

After unveiling his tip, Maher proceeded to advise his viewers to “never forget the single shining truth about democracy: it means sharing a country with a**holes you can’t stand.” Maher made it perfectly clear that he was talking about conservatives.
