LOS ANGELES -- Eerie doorbell camera footage that captured a distressed woman's pleas for help from a passing vehicle has prompted an investigation by police in Los Angeles, according to KTLA. A possible kidnapping was reported in the 3800 block of Third Avenue at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, but officers who responded couldn't find any evidence of a crime, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez.

Comments:

How anyone can just stand there and listen to her is beyond me. I would have been running toward her screams and at least made it out to the street to stop the car or get the plate number. I really hope they find her.

We installed a Ring doorbell a couple of weeks ago. It is truly amazing! I was a skeptic, but now recommend it. Hopefully the police can locate the victim in this article.

Some day there will be surveillance cameras covering every square inch of the earth, and law enforcement will have immediate access to all of it. Surveillance will be able to completely track everyone's movements, and it will be able to tell when somebody is in distress or a law is being broken, and act on it immediately by notifying the appropriate law enforcement.

We have a. Ring doorbell. And it chimes immediately with a video on my cell phone if there is movement in my front yard. But you have to be real quick to run out the front door and see it in person.

If you feel like climate activist Greta Thunberg has been dominating the media lately, she’ll soon be staring down at you on Mason Street near Union Square, too. Created by the same artist who brought San Francisco its beloved Robin Williams mural (which has since been demolished), a large depiction of the 16-year-old activist is set to be completed next week. Cobre, an artist from Argentina, is donating his time to complete the work. “Climate change is real,” Cobre said. “This girl Greta is awesome and she knows what she’s doing. I hope with this mural people will realize we have to take care of the world.”

CNN reports that in a private meeting this week, top Democrats conceded that the polls on impeachment were unlikely to shift, and that their basic message is failing to break through for huge swaths of Americans. This is very close to admitting that their ultimate goal, of removing president Trump from office will not be achieved. The reason this would mean game over for the removal effort is that only a significant uptick for impeachment in polling, especially among Republicans who have been rock solid in support of Trump, could lead to GOP votes to convict in the senate.

Upset at what he called preconditions imposed by the National Football League, quarterback Colin Kaepernick at the last minute moved his scheduled tryout on Saturday away from the Atlanta Falcons training facility to a local high school where media could attend. The former starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers is seeking a return to the NFL three years after his protests against racial injustice roiled the sport. He has contended that teams would not sign him because they wanted to distance themselves from the protests, which U.S. President Donald Trump blasted as unpatriotic and disrespectful. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, amid the largely laughable testimony of the diplomats — can you say heavy on the hearsay, guys? — came out with her own largely laughable conclusion of all that hearsay testimony and said: President Donald Trump is guilty of bribery. She even found him guilty of confessing to bribery. Who knew Pelosi, at her advanced age, could perform so many contortions? This has to be the greatest acrobatic spin in political history. “The bribe,” she said, in a widely reported news conference on the heels of the first public impeachment hearing, “is to grant or withhold military assistance in return for a public statement

Until a month or so ago, virtually no one outside of the seven circles of hell that is the State Department had heard of Marie Yovanovitch. Even the intrepid John Solomon had not heard of her until March of this year. He had interviewed Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko who told him that Yovanovitch gave him a "do not prosecute" list the first time he met with her. He was angered by her list which he justifiably saw it as interference in Ukraine's government. He felt she was meddling in their anti-corruption investigations by telling him who should not be investigated.

TAMPA — From the moment the NFL announced its hasty plan for a Colin Kaepernick workout this weekend, the questions have been flying. After all this time, why the sudden rush? Did some team request this? How many general managers will show up? Is this simply a ploy for atonement by the NFL? Yet, around here, a more important question needs to be asked: Can Kaepernick help the Buccaneers? It’s an interesting and legitimate question with, at this point, no clear answer. Kaepernick has not been in an NFL uniform in nearly three years so it’s worth wondering if his skills have atrophied.

The Ruling Class hates the lesser mortals who populate the realm they think they rightly rule. When Flyover Country forced Donald Trump on them as president, the outrage that was born of the initial shock grew into outright disdain for those put him into power. Senior Deep State bureaucrats like Peter Strzok and Lisa Page may be able to smell Trump supporters at Walmart, but for really intense class snobbery, there are few places that do it better than Harvard. At Harvard, few professors carry more political cachet than Laurence Tribe, who holds the title “University Professor,” (a very big deal at Harvard) and teaches constitutional law at Harvard Law School.
