The usurping group of FBI and DOJ officials we have called “the small group” have an established set of media operatives and outlets aligned to assist their narrative. Tonight Devlin Barrett (Lisa Page and Peter Strzok’s favorite narrative engineer) publishes a report in the Washington Post highlighting their concerns.According to the WaPo Inspector General Michael Horowitz is not allowing the ‘small group’ to provide written rebuttals to the IG report on FISA abuse during their principal reviews. The outline by Devlin on behalf of the group also confirms our timeline.

How it works. FTA:
The principal review phase under IG Horowitz generally lasts two weeks, ten business days. Each principal only is allowed to see the segments that pertain to their specifics. Each principal may provide feedback to how the report outlines their activity. The IG may, or may not (not required), include comments from the principal in the final report. If principal comment is included the IG will generally present rebuttal evidence.
In all draft reviews the principals are required to sign non-disclosure agreements; this prevents leaks. Nothing about this is extraordinary. However, in this example it appears Horowitz is trying to speed up the release by not waiting for the legions of lawyers to submit written responses for consideration. Instead Horowitz is recording any commentary and will transcribe into the final report if he feels it warrants inclusion.
Again, other than oral comments (to be transcribed), as opposed to written responses from the lawyers, nothing about this is unusual. This is the standard process.

I can't put my finger on it, but isn't this the very same way the current house has been securing it's finding and reports on the entire Trump matter?

I would ask why the ''small group'' would be concerned about their personal responses? Are they projecting what they, and the democrats, would do if the shoe was on the other foot? I don't want to hear what a bunch of democrat lawyers and operatives spin. I want to hear the real testimony, from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Instead of dragging this out another 2 weeks, 10 working days, so they can get their stories straight and get prepared, put the darned thing out now, for the world to see (all at the same time) and let the chips fall where they may!

This is rich... talk about turning the tables! Horowitz ought to tell them not to worry, that he'll have his agents take notes and then file their 302s... in a couple weeks. LMFAO!!!

Yeah, this is how the FBI burned administration member with perjury charges. We'll listen to what you have to say, we'll write it down, and we'll write it down in the way that puts you at the greatest risk of a perjury charge. The irony is hysterical.

If there is not a criminal referral for James Comey this thing will not be news or of long term interest to anyone but historians. BTW I don't think there will be a criminal referral for Comey. The IG will conclude he relied on the hitherto unquestioned loyalty, integrity, and patriotism of the FBI agents under him and they let him down. The IG will then throw a couple of underlings to the wolves - Strzok, Page, maybe the Ohr's. The report will be fodder for the Trump crowd but nothing but esoterica of no consequence to the media and the "orange man bad" crowd, and likely released on the eve of Thanksgiving when absolutely noone is paying attention. Come monday morning the talk will all be of when the impeachment vote is scheduled.
OTH if Barr & Durham are serious this IG report will have completed a lot of their leg work for them and they will know who to squeeze and who to simply prosecute because they will never cooperate. The clock is ticking on the Trump presidency and the Barr DoJ is going to need to up their game if there is ever to be justice done.

If there aren't a lot of criminal referrals, then Horowitz the deep stater isn't doing the job he was hired to do.

This "small group" is going to be going to jail. I hope, all of them are imprisoned.

I hope after all the time and taxpayer money spent on this investigation, IG Horiwitz doesn't attempt to "whitewash" criminal conduct committed by members of the CIA, FBI and DOJ as was done in the exoneration of Hillary Clinton. If he does, then justice in this country is dead!
