If you live in the farmlands of America, or in the vast mountainous regions far away from cities, a University of California Berkeley instructor wants you to know you're a bad person who has made bad choices and you deserve to be uncomfortable. The obviously brilliant person who came up with these groundbreaking conclusions is named Jackson Kernion, a self-described "Graduate Student Instructor at University of California." The since-deleted tweet that got him in trouble read, "I unironically embrace the bashing of rural Americans. They, as a group, are bad people who have made bad life decisions. Some, I assume are good

The professor is apparently not aware of the agricultural areas surrounding the university of California, Davis - which is about 50 miles east of his classroom.

Kernion, everything will be ok. Embrace God and His Word, and you will be fine.

Yes we are terrible awful nasty people and you should stay from us as far away as possible. Californians and other liberals who have already moved to rural areas must immediately pack up and get away before sanity begins to set in.

He is not a professor. He is a graduate student instructing some of his fake philosophy classes at Berkeley after having gotten his BA at Harvard. Another imported screwball.

Where is that homeless man with his steaming bucket of poop. This Kernion guy is in urgent need of an application from said bucket.

A philosophy major from Harvard. I am so impressed. At some point in his life he will require the services of a plumber but the plumber will never require the services of a philosopher.

These clowns in the so called intelligentsia, constantly reinforce our beliefs about them. I have no less contempt for him then he has for me and mine. He is a perfect example of a bigot and a ignorant "elite".

It figures. People who get publicity for saying such inanities often are associated with a useless degree from Harvard. All attitude and no common sense but they think they are special for excelling in high school enough to get into a crown jewel of academia where they waste four years on useless book learning. Jackson, when you get your first real job remember to ask if we’d like to supersize our orders. And thank beef, poultry and potato farmers for your paycheck.

Kernion and others like him are so out of touch with reality, not to mention that they have no genuine human compassion or understanding. What a mess America is in that we have allowed our young folk to be instructed by such complete ignoramuses.

This is easy. He should only eat food produced in the city. Hope he enjoys rat meat.

#11 is right on. My dad lived on a farm through the Great Depression. He used to tell me that his family hardly knew there was a problem. They ate what they grew. They never went hungry. My mom, on the other hand, did not have it so good. Her dad, my grandpa, was a book-keeper. He lost his job and they went hungry.

Let us not promote him incorrectly with the title of "professor." He is just a lowly instructor without tenure and probably not even on tenure track. He may be a graduate teaching assistant rather than an instructor with a long-term contract. There is nothing exalted about his position With this tweet he may have spoiled his chances for advancement (or enhanced them, depending on who the decision-makers are).

Rural America churns out patriotism and love for country. University ilk churn out illiterate snowflakes who get triggered by a 2 mph breeze plus they absolutely hate America.

If all the rural Americans disappeared one day, everyone would miss them greatly when the food ran out.
If all the Berkeley philosophy big mouths dissappeared one day, everyone would cheer. And nobody would miss them.

What this idiot doesn’t understand is that soon they will take his car away. His freedoms will be curtailed so that he will be continuously monitored and told where to go. He will be disarmed and a prisoner in his city. That is what is coming.
