In what appears to be one of the most remarkable examples of irony in left-wing “progress,” the LGBT left is celebrating the American Psychological Association’s style guide adopting “they/them” as the official pronoun designation for nonbinary people. LGBTQ Nation tweeted, “With this move, the APA is recognizing the existence of nonbinary people and inviting others to understand them better.” This change follows the highly publicized revelation of British singer Sam Smith changing his personal pronouns to “they” and “them” and stating, “I hope you can see me like I see myself now.”

Idiocy as policy.

This is lunacy. I, for one, will never use a plural pronoun to refer to a singular person. Nonsense. Also, did anyone notice that the article uses both LGBT and LGBTQ? Do we now have to distinguish between the 2 groups? What the heck is this?

Part of the process of obtaining a diploma in psychology, is they do their best to drive you insane. If you break, then you're unqualified. The 'break's is somewhat subjective. When the liberal examiners consider traditional views to be insane, then obviously, the lunatics are in charge of the madhouse. DC Comics has the Arkham Assylum for the Criminally Insane. From the Chicago Manual of Style: "A writer (or speaker) may also use they to refer to a specific, known person who does not identify with a gender-specific pronoun such as he or she. (They used in this way was the American Dialect Society’s 2015 Word of the Year.) CMOS 17 will advise that “a person’s stated preference for a specific pronoun should be respected.” This usage is still not widespread either in speech or in writing, but Chicago accepts it even in formal writing." So, you have to check to know or ask a person its preference before you use he, she, or they when writing about someone. How dumb is that? Nope, I'm keeping it simple, stupid. You get only one of the two genders from me. If you don't like it, don't read it. I don't respect your disrespect for the language, and I don't like cliffs.

The APA, like the AMA has let down the American people by getting out of the practice of medicine and into the practice of socialist justice. Medicine, whether medical or psychological is science based. Socialist justice (commonly called social justice, but let's call it what it really is), on the other hand, is feelings based. "Your feelings don't matter. It's only my feelings that can get respected." This is the same rationale that supports men with penises can be women and women with vaginas can be men. It's not science based, it's feelings based. What used to be psychological disorders are now called normal (even though they actually remain psychological disorders). It's a shame. Medicine had a pretty good run in the 20th Century. Now it's falling apart.

It does not say much about the professions of psychiatry and psychology that the gay/transgender issue went from mental disorder to accommodating their lunacy in such a short period of time. It means there is no foundation to their findings. I can't imagine there was any actual science behind the newer designation. Like mainline protestant churches, they want to be cool kids and turn their backs upon facts and morality. And like the churches, people will begin to turn away from them in disgust.

Every new identity group wanting to be acknowledged by society deserves our pity for bearing the burden of deciding what letter to use in the alphabet soup of genderconfusion, and the ever more onerous task of finding a pronoun for its members that hasn't already been taken by another group. It's kind of like choosing a user name on a global web site. Sooner or later a group will have to settle for something as absurd as 'hqtc' (pronounced hox-kwet-ac) as a pronoun. Until recently multiple-personality disorder was acknowledged as a disorder. Common sense has officially left the building.

As Israel faces repeated rocket fire from Islamic jihadists, the EU engages in its own battle to delegitimize the Jewish state in its latest ruling condoning discriminatory labeling practices for Jewish goods produced in contested areas of Israel. Yesterday, the EU’s Court of Justice (ECJ), the highest court in the EU, ruled that Jewish products made in contested areas of Israel must bear consumer warning labels. Prior to the ruling, U.S. lawmakers in Congress fired warning shots, cautioning the EU that such a move would prompt the enforcement of American anti-boycott laws, thus endangering the EU’s trade with the United States.

The first public hearing in the impeachment investigation of President Trump produced more heat than light. House Democrats claim this impeachment process is identical to that used for Presidents Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon. This is a whopper, even for politicians. Take subpoena authority, one of the most important tools of any investigation. For Clinton and Nixon, the majority and minority had equal authority; if the other side did not cooperate, each could get permission from the committee. Today, the majority can subpoena unilaterally, but the minority must always get permission. One of these impeachments is not like the others.
