The word “coup” shifted to a new level of formalized meaning last week when members of the political resistance showed up to remove President Trump wearing military uniforms.
Not only did U.S. military leadership remain silent to the optics and purpose, but in the testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman he admits to giving instructions to ignore the instructions from a sitting United States President.
In the absence of push-back from the Joint Chiefs,ISnip) the impression is tacit U.S. military support for the Vindman objective Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, a National Security Council official, testified before congressional committees conducting an impeachment inquiry on October 29, wearing a full military uniform.

OP Comment. Article includes Vindman’s testimony as he was questioned by Rep. John Ratcliffe. His notion that his opinions of what is proper for our President to do and say outweigh the President’s judgment is arrogant and unacceptable. Insubordination to the max. Yet so far no one in the military hierarchy has said a word.

I don't think that Vindman is going to skate through this. President Trump has convinced me that he keeps score, and I am sure that he will play all of his "trump cards" at a time of his choosing.

He looks nothing like a soldier. He should be in a prison uniform.

Hmmm...but, when will Howoritz's FISA investigation report and Durham's criminal investigation findings and indictments become official? Comey and Brennan, what's your sense of when we will see these? Two of you have been pretty quiet lately.

Wow. Very good chance Vindman broke the law. Should’ve stayed under his rock. I think he may regret his role in the resistance coup.

Vindman reminds me physically of "Flounder" in the movie "Animal House"...he appears to be an overweight, overbearing, Lieutenant Colonel with a hyper-inflated ego ...the thought that he would encourage the Ukrainians to ignore the President's orders means he has contempt for the oath he took to become an officer and little knowledge of the trouble he is in

I really can't read these types of articles anymore. President Trump and American citizen's rights are being trampled all over the place. Where is Barr and whoever is in charge? Why is this farce being allowed to continue.? Come on, republicans, grow a spine.

After reading the article, it does look like LTC Vindman violated Articles 88 (contempt for public officials) and 92 (failure to carry out a lawful order) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Those are court martial offenses under UCMJ. I’m not sure what Vindman’s rating chain of command was under NSC but ultimately POTUS is his Commander in Chief, whether Vindman likes him or not. So yes, if LTC Vindman does not face court martial, that is a huge red flag that the deep state is going from soft to hard coup with Vindman as their trial balloon.

Where ya been Sundance? The coup has been on since Trump won the Presidency. Possibly even to the point of trying to deny him the nomination in the first place. The difference is, the coup is being exposed now, along with all the players. But the coup has always been in full gear.

First, Vindman conveniently forgets who/what his real chain of command is. He repeatedly references his NSC chain, but as I said in another post, Vindman has only one chain of command and that's uniformed military, not civilian. The civilian bosses may have a line of authority, but when it comes right down to it, a civilian boss cannot legally order a subordinate uniformed service member or vice-versa. Sundance is absolutely right in this case. Vindman wears a joint staff badge and he has a military boss out there somewhere. That the military leadership remains silent on this is stunning. He should be up on charges and if convicted sent to Leavenworth.
Second, when Ratcliffe questions his personal judgement on raising "concerns" about the phone call Vindman calls on the technique of having to make quick judgement calls in combat and yadi-yada. Apples and oranges. No one was shooting at him when he reported his opinion to his higher on the NSC. His prevaricating testimony shows he's a slimeball, who just because of his Ukrainian background and deep state connections, has promoted out of his element.

#10 Sundance was one of the first if not the first to recognize the coup with more detail analysis and connecting more dots than anyone else! The point he was making is before he called it a soft coup but with the military involvement via Vindman the coup attempt went “hard”! Go to his blog and read his earlier posts he’s been on the coup attempt from the beginning!
