Republican lawmakers are planning to call Hunter Biden as a witness in the upcoming public impeachment hearings, according to a report from Fox News. The outlet obtained a list of witnesses selected by Republican lawmakers – a list which includes Hunter Biden and the so-called “whistleblower.” “Americans see through this sham impeachment process, despite the Democrats’ efforts to retroactively legitimize it last week,” House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) wrote to House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), arguing that it is essential that the American people hear from witnesses – like Biden, Biden’s business partner

Comments:

Republicans should buy ads, publish the names of their potential witnesses, (Including Schiff), and also the questions that they would ask these witnesses.

Maybe this is why Bloomberg is jumping into the Prez race. He knows that exposing Biden's shady dealing in the Ukraine will destroy the Biden campaign. Rich liberals are afraid of Crazy Warren and Red Bernie.

Just saw the movie Midway. A great reminder of the sacrifices made by the greatest generation. The Schiffs, the deep state, the rent-seekers, the Epsteins..,did not deserve these sacrifices..

Dan Bongino on Fox had a great line on Justice. He said this case against Trump is so bad it's like they accused him of robbing a bank and the bank president came out and said "There was no robbery! We weren't robbed!".

As a candidate, Trump’s frequent refrain was “America First.” We should take care of our own problems, he said, before meddling in the business of other nations. (snip) The tax dollars that had fled America under Bush and Obama, on a massive scale, were now funding other nations’ government programs. They were building highways and airports in the capitals of other nations. An American president who had promised to make his country great again would have to pry loose those American dollars from the clutches of nations that had become addicted to them and that would not give them

Tens of thousands of Hong Kongers packed into a park Saturday night to mourn a student who died during recent clashes as police arrested a group of pro-democracy lawmakers, deepening the city's political crisis. (snip) Tensions have soared since the death on Friday of Alex Chow, 22, who succumbed to head injuries sustained during a fall as police skirmished with demonstrators inside a car park last weekend. The huge rally -- one of the few in recent months to obtain police approval -- means Hong Kong has witnessed 24 weekends of protest in what has become the most profound

Washington — Joe Biden raised $5.3 million in October in a surge of small-dollar online contributions that rolled in after President Donald Trump launched unfounded attacks against the former vice president over his son's Ukrainian dealings. The swell of cash was raised from through 182,000 donations, with an average amount of about $28, according to figures provided to The Associated Press by Biden's presidential campaign. It comes after his internet fundraising operation stumbled over the summer, leading critics to suggest he lacked grassroots support. For months, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned itchy Democrats against the perils of impeachment. She should have stuck to her guns. In surrendering to the radicals and the noisy drumbeat of their media handmaidens, Pelosi established a formal investigative process involving the top legislative committees. (Snip) But her surrender proved again that her party can’t quit 2016. Like generals fighting the last war, she and they are now committed to taking their sore-loser grievances to 2020 voters. Dems apparently assume the country hates Trump as much as they do. President Hillary Clinton had no comment on the strategy.

I thought we'd at least get Oprah. President Trump's victory was supposed to be the start of a new era of celebrity politics in America. He proved that a candidate with no political experience but substantial name recognition can win — that fame is, for many Americans, reason enough to give a campaign a serious hearing. For 2020, I anticipated the Democratic Party would respond in kind, and I don't think I'm alone in that expectation. My colleague Matthew Walther made the case this past spring that a celebrity challenger might well be Democrats' strongest tactic against

Late Monday, when Donald Trump’s campaign launch was dominating the news cycle, Disney decided it would be a good time to raise ticket prices … by a lot. An annual pass without blackout dates now costs $899. That means a family of four can either go to Disney — or buy a 2012 Nissan Sentra. Or maybe pay a couple months’ mortgage. Single-day tickets now range from $109 to $159. The craftily timed announcement was masterful PR. Still, news spread quickly. (snip) In fact, Disney is trying to drive some of you away. The agency says Kim mounted an observation post to learn about the test-fire of the new-type tactical guided weapon and guide the test-fire. The announcement came after reports of new activity at a North Korean missile research center and long-range rocket site where the North is believed to build long-range missiles targeting the U.S. mainland.

Why Study Latin? 31 replies

Oxford professor Nicola Gardini urges people to read and study Latin. He believes that Latin is the antidote for the modern age, which seems transfixed by the spontaneous, the easy, and the ephemeral. His new book, Long Live Latin: The Pleasures of a Useless Language, argues that Latin combines truth and beauty with the timelessness of art. People should study Latin for all the reasons people should read literature. In his Confessions, St. Augustine (354–430 C.E.) “placed the learning of Latin under God’s purview,” Gardini writes. Augustine believed Latin drew a child closer to God, “the truest truth.” Gardini argues that Latin contains the logic and precision of math

Seattle Times columnist Danny Westneat recently wrote: “In terms of carbon emissions that lead to global warming, there’s probably nothing worse we can do on an individual basis than take an intercontinental flight.” Apparently, he was mistaken. Shortly thereafter, The Times published University of Washington Professor Emeritus Stephen Warren’s reply to Mr. Westneat: “Actually, there is something worse. Having a child.” According to an article on the website Campus Reform, Professor Warren suggested that average children add the carbon equivalent of 2,700 round-trip flights from Seattle to Europe to their parents’ carbon legacy. Joe Morrissey was jailed and lost his license to practice law after being convicted of having sex with his 17-year-old secretary. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor in the ensuing court case and served for only three months in a “work-release term.” He was also forced to resign from his seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, but then ran again in the special election to retake the seat and was re-elected. Morrissey then went on to marry the girl in 2016, and she

Is it possible that even she is sick and tired of Schiff's mendacity, his secrecy, his shutout of Republican questions, his witness tampering? He even advised "witnesses" not to answer questions from Republicans. Most of these people being called to testify are not witnesses to anything relevant;

"It's a partisan impeachment, clearly," he continued. "All impeachments, I guess, are political. But, this one's 100 percent political and it's going to establish a new norm for America that I think is bad for us.”
