In a significant reversal, a top US diplomat revised his testimony to impeachment investigators to admit there was a quid pro quo linking US aid to Ukraine with an investigation into President Donald Trump's political rivals. US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland sent the committee a three-page addition to his testimony on Monday, saying he had remembered a September 1 conversation that occurred on the sidelines of a meeting between Vice President Mike Pence and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he told a top aide to Zelensky that the security aid and investigations were linked.

He just happened to remember, huh? What a bunch of BS. Also, Biden isn’t Trump’s opponent at this point nor will he be at the end.

I'm thinking maybe a couple of folks visited with Gordon and helped him "remember." You know, just lie how Rodney Dangerfield's character brought a couple of goons to help Judge Smalls find his wallet (in Caddyshack). Now they can add Mike Pence to the impeachment list so Nasty Nancy can be crowned Queen Nancy of America and end the barbaric practice of elections.

Sondland assumed there was a connection. Trump told him there wasn't one. He had no business saying there was if the President had told him otherwise. But in any event, the money was sent with no strings attached. So no quid pro quo, even if one has actually been discussed earlier.

So, the Aid for FY 2019 was only approved in Feb 2019 instead of Oct 1 2018 as it should have been. The Democrats were desperate to get the tacit approval from Trump that he will release the aid. The Ukraine is holding Presidential election, that ends up in a run-off. April 21 - Zelensky wins the run-off May 6 - U.S.Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich is removed from office. May 13 - Barr announces investigation into origins of Russia probe. July 26 - Call between Trump and Zelensky Aug 12 - complaint filed with IG Atkinson Sep 9 - Bill Taylor and Sondland exchange texts where Sondland notes Trump is trying to evaluate whether Zelensky intends to follow through on his campaign promise of adopting transparency and reforms Sep 11 - Aid to Ukraine is released. Now, is it unreasonable to think that caution would be used on releasing aid that Democrats seemed so interested in getting released before the Ukraine election, and then knowing there was a run-off, and a new president to assess? In a country that's KNOWN for the corruption?

They are desperate at this point to make something out of this crap. He clearly did not know why the aid was held up and it was eventually sent with no corresponding investigation. This is more nothingburger. I'm not sure what evidence that Giuliani received regarding Biden's deal to get the prosecutor fired is considered "not credible". Based on the letter John Solomon published from his FOIA request the State Department was notified by Burisma that Hunter Biden was in legal jeopardy and Joe hopped on a plane and had the prosecutor fired shortly thereafter. Biden has not only admitted to this but he bragged about it. Maybe they think Joe's confession is not credible

Citing US agents and officials with knowledge of the damage, the Post reported that smugglers have been using reciprocating saws to cut through the steel and concrete portions of the wall, creating openings wide enough for people and drugs to be smuggled through. The agents told the Post the saws can cut through the bollards in a matter of minutes.

Joe Biden is out pulling rank. In response to a little priest in South Carolina denying him Holy Communion for advocating pro-abortion positions inconsistent with Church teaching, the former vice president and Democratic Party presidential frontrunner made it clear he didn't deal with pipsqueaks. Asked about the incident, Lifesite News reported Biden's response: “It’s not a position that I’ve found anywhere else, including from the Holy Father, who gives me Communion.” So instead of thinking about the priest's position and offering some kind of contemplative thought, Biden declared it was all O.K. to be advocating for abortion from his position,

Sea level rise is set to challenge human civilization for centuries to come, even if internationally agreed climate goals are met and planet-warming emissions are then immediately eliminated, researchers have found. The lag time between rising global temperatures and the knock-on impact of coastal inundation means that the world will be dealing with ever-rising sea levels into the 2300s, regardless of prompt action to address the climate crisis, according to the new study. Even if governments meet their commitments from the landmark 2015 Paris climate agreement, the first 15-year period of the deal will still result in enough emissions

John Durham may be the most consequential and least known figure in Washington right now. In May, U.S. attorney general William Barr selected Durham, a longtime prosecutor with a résumé so sterling it nearly glows, to investigate the origins of the special counsel’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and whether it was properly predicated. Some Trump fans believe there was a vast effort by a “deep state” of high-ranking intelligence and law-enforcement officials to smear Trump or hinder his campaign by creating a perception of corrupt ties to Russia. In late October, the New York Times quoted unnamed sources who said that Durham’s probe
