On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Deadline,” Steve Schmidt, John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign manager, said President Donald Trump must be removed from office by impeachment or “we don’t live in the American republic that existed from 1787 until 2017.”Schmidt said, “I think that the conduct from what we know about the testimony is pretty clear. He asked the president of Ukraine to launch an investigation on a political opponent, thus interfering in the election. And if you can do that to the former vice president of the United States, you can do it to every American. It’s utterly lawless.

The version of the "American Republic" that the Uniparty and the Deep State created should cease to exist. That's the idea.

The left is doing all they can to destroy our republic, including trying to overturn the 2016 election!

No, you gas-lighting imbecile, if the Chief Executive cannot investigate a former Vice President for corruption, *then* we've lost our Republic.

I'm in agreement with #1: what currently passes for the "American Republic" should cease to exist. And let me say, if PDJT is impeached and removed, America as a country will cease to exist. Better it should pass away than the leftists are able to pervert it further.

Impeach and convict our President and the socialists will see one of those "caravans" for which they are so fond. TK and I have already made some preliminary plans, and as post-modern Californians we now have plenty of gas cans. We figure we'll hook up with other members of the Army of the Deplorables along the way in gas stations, rest areas and restaurants. It will make the 2009 March on DC look like a grade school field trip.

John McCain was a major player in getting the fake dossier to the public arena, along with at least one of his staff members.
He will not look so good when the entire story is told.

I remember this jerk stabbing Sarah Palin in the back when she and McCain were running for office. It speaks volumes about him. The guy stands with the lefties and the globalists instead of America.
As for impeachment, there's nothing there! Schmidt knows that, but will run his mouth regardless.

#14, TQ, y’all come the southern route and pick up some Cajun Navy (expert swamp hunters), and good ole boys (aka “hunters”) from Missippi, ‘Bama, and Georgia. Then going up 85/95, we’ll get some Carolinas and Virginia friends.
People are starting to get peeved with the Swamp.

It is a misrepresentation of fact to claim that Joseph Biden is President Trump’s political opponent in the 2020 election. At the moment Biden’s political status is that he is a “potential” political opponent of Trump along with an undetermined number of other Democrats who are running for the Democrat nomination for President which will occur at the Democrat National Committee next Summer. The Democrat politician who is given the Democrat nomination for President at that convention will then legitimately be Trump’s political opponent in the 2020 election and it is more and more evident every day that politician will not be Biden. There is no constitutional or statutory prohibition against the President asking that a US politician who is running for office be investigated by the Attorney General using US Department of Justice law enforcement assets for past crimes like political corruption, or by foreign governments if the suspected crimes occurred in their countries.

#19 - Thank you for the warm Southern invitation. We haven't talked about a route, just been listing what we'll need to take in the Deplorable SUV. One question is whether to fly the Don't Tread On Me banner or our TRUMP flag. It will probably be both. Our long-put-off dream trip has always been to explore the Southern battlefields of the first Civil War. (History nerds.) We already have the route planned. Your offer reminded me of that and I will remind TK.
We know we are not alone in our commitment to support and defend President Trump. We also know that we'll all know when its time to saddle up. And we'll MAGA until we can't MAGA anymore, and then we'll MAGA some more!
See y'all in D.C.

What do the Commucrats know about how a Republic is supposed to function!? If the Republic were functioning properly, all of the slimy Pols who are 'so very concerned' about the fate of the Republic would be behind bars, which is why they don't want a functioning Republic. I think we need to bring back burning at the stake as a form of punishment.

If Trump is impeached and stands before the Senate, a lot of people who would prefer to stay
on the sidelines, will be put under oath and deposed. Pelosi knows that and that is why she
has been holding back. There are going to be a lot of unhappy Democrats and some who will
be charged with treason.

#20- Would submit that not only is “it a misrepresentation of fact to claim that Joseph Biden is President Trump’s political opponent in the 2020 election,” the reality is that if Joe Biden wasn’t running as a presidential candidate, ANY President of this country would have the right and the responsibility to investigate suspicious malfeasance of ANY Vice President of this country at ANY point in time. That Joe Biden is a contender for the 2020 presidential nomination is happenstance and realistically irrelevant.

If Trump is impeached, he will still be President. If the Senate were to decide otherwise, we wouldn't have a President Romney, Ryan or Kasich. It would President Biden, Warren or some other Democrat. Did it help the Republicans when the Republicans in the Senate turned on Nixon? No, it brought us Jimmy Carter.
