Jerry Brown Blames Trump, Republicans for
California Fires: ‘The Blood Is on Your Soul’

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 10/30/2019 11:10:52 AM

Former California Governor Jerry Brown told Congress on Tuesday that President Donald Trump and the Republican Party were responsible for the ongoing California fires because of their opposition to drastic climate change policies. “California’s burning while the deniers make a joke out of the standards that protect us all,” Brown told the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, as quoted by the San Francisco Chronicle. “The blood is on your soul here and I hope you wake up. Because this is not politics, this is life, this is morality. … This is real.”

Whatever a Dem accuses you of know the rest. This debacle is the result of listening to crackpot environmentalists who advocated against forest management, against removing deadwood, compounded by poor water management...failing to take into accoiunt increasing populations without a corresponding increase in water supply while simultaneously curbing water access for farmers in order to save habitat for obscure species like river smelts that are doomed anyway because of the system of levee's put in place decades ago. The inmates run the asylum in California.

The Democratic clowns running California screw up their state good, then blame everybody but themselves. They refuse to approach issues with a common sense view and then wonder why their state is overrun with diseased homeless, garbage piled in the streets, urine and feces on sidewalks, and smart usage of wildlife and nature area's. When their state is on fire, often because they did not do the work to clear out brush and dead trees, its Trumps fault. Everything is somebodies fault other than their own. You vote for 1 party rule you get inbred idiots running the political and agencies that are supposed to safeguard the citizens, to provide safe cheap energy, and to protect the middle and lower classes instead of the richie riches and their million dollar mansions values.

Fires like these have been naturally occuring in California for hundreds of years. On another note, I will never miss the opportunity to point out that the etymology of the word "California" is actually from "caliph" or "kalif" from the muslim word. (In the chapter of the book which originally mentions the word "California," Queen Califia joins forces with a few other caliphs to do battle against an aggressor)

The fires up north were probably set by the crazy who traveled all the way from Missouri to set fires here. The Getty Museum area fire was started by a branch that blew off of a eucalyptus tree, located well outside the power company’s clearing area which was greater than that required. That one branch hit a power line and caused it to arc. Jerry Brown needs to go back to sleep.

The fires are brush fires. Grass fires that ignite brush. Not what most would call “forest fires”. We do have those from time to time, but these are in the wide open hilly areas in California. The fire at Getty Museum area was caused by one eucalyptus tree branch that was blown off by the high wind and carried at least 30’ to a power line where it caused it to arc. Clearance had been done in the area in accordance with the power company’s specifications, which exceed the “legal” specifications. Fire officers declared it an “accident”. Remarks about forest management, clearance and all that, are not appropriate in the case of these wildfires.

What does it take to create a fire, jerry? Heat, fuel, and oxygen. Take any of those away and there is no fire. Hopefully, we will always have oxygen, and those winds spreading the California fires have always been there. They act surprised every year when the fires spread so quickly. Heat can be supplied by any spark, campfire, or arsonist. We have massive fires every year because of only one thing. Massive amounts of fuel, which environmental policies will not allow to be removed. It has nothing to do with non-existent climate change. How many of the poor little endangered animals are killed and habitats destroyed by these fires? If you only look at the results of their policies, the millions of acres of forests burned and the animals killed, you would have to come to the conclusion that these people hate nature.

Brown is wrong. Well before automobiles and smog, Los Angeles was once considered "Hell" due to the choking smoke present through most of the summer and fall created by lightning ignited fires burning in the hills around the basin. The Spaniards called the brush chaparro (now Chaparral) after the oak woodlands of Spain. (To the Spaniards and many people today the Chaparral or woody scrub oak growing on California hillsides looks like forest.) The original settlers, now thought of as native Americans used burning to control the the land. When the Europeans arrived they also used burning or clearing to make the land more suitable for grazing and growing and to prevent wildfire since Chaparral burns really really well. They also cut existing forests which were often replaced by the tough woody Chaparro. More recently ecologists fought to save the lovely brush, for example see "Chaparral, Once Seen as Useless, Ecologists Now Fight to Restore California's Chaparral by Susan Valot". In the more recent past the brush was burned and/or cleared, often by local ranchers or local fire departments, particularly near towns and villages, native grasses grew and were grazed by livestock reducing the fire risk. (Yes, dry grass burns very very well and fast, but the fire is far easier to extinguish than a Chaparral fire.) Additionally, fire trails (jeep trails) in both the brush and forest areas were everywhere and were maintained so well that a passenger car could easily traverse them in the summer and fall. Now the roads are cabled off, eroded and/or choked with thick brush and/or fallen trees in forested areas to protect California's pristine natural environment (you know the one that was burned for millennia by the Euro-Asians that crossed the land bridge and burned, logged, and mined everywhere by recent European immigrants). So now the fire trails are impassable and the wildland hillsides are choked with brush, protected by "Environmentalists" from California's enlightened urban areas and the rest of California burns. So yes, Jerry and all his ilk that are primarily at fault, not climate change or a wrathful deity. As an aside, I talked with people who drive and ride big trucks that have hoses and ladders and stuff, some of whom spent a lot of time in Paradise last year, and they are united in telling me that the houses where the brush and other flammables were cleared were the one they were able to save. For fun reading see Prescribed Burning in California Wildlands Vegetation by Harold Biswell

What a crock. It was mostly the fault of Leftist environmental policy that caused the buildup of combustible fuel to levels that could facilitate such cataclysmic burns, by mandating that all wildfires be extinguished and banning the process of clearing underbrush from national and state forests. Thanks to that, the natural process through which the combustibles are burned annually was suspended for decades. Brown: "Because this is not politics, this is life, this is morality. … This is real.” Jerry's one of the last people I would trust to tell me something is real. He turned his brain inside out pharmaceutically when doing so was considered groovy..

On Thursday, the House Democrats made their impeachment inquiry into President Trump official, pushing through their resolution by a largely party line vote of 232 to 194. Though Democrats have been pushing to impeach Trump since even before his inauguration, the trigger that finally resulted in an official inquiry was a complaint by an unidentified whistleblower who heard second-hand about Trump’s much-analyzed July 25 call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asking him to “look into” the allegations of corruption involving former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

"As families like ours — upstanding families like ours who were doing everything we were supposed to do and better. As we moved in, white folks moved out because they were afraid of what our families represented," the former first lady said Tuesday at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago. "I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us ... This family, with all the values that you read about, you were runnin

A former Clinton adviser says that should Joe Biden drop out of the race, Hillary Clinton will run for president again because “she feels that God put her on the Earth to do it.” Do we really deserve that much punishment from the Almighty? Dick Morris, who advised Bill Clinton in his 1978 campaign for Arkansas governor, and again in his 1996 White House re-election effort, says it is his “feeling” that Hillary wants to run. “She feels entitled to do it,” he said on John Catsimatidis’ Sunday morning radio show from New York. “She feels compelled to do it. She feels that God put her on the Earth to do it

Catherine Herridge, a beloved investigative correspondent at Fox News, is leaving the network after 23 years to go to work for CBS News. (Snip) The Congressional Medal of Honor Society recently gave Herridge a prestigious award. Media insiders tell me the CBS offer was just too good to pass up. Over the summer, Herridge’s contract lapsed and she was sorting out her future. Everyone I spoke with stressed how well-liked she is within Fox News.

Democratic Rep. Katie Hill said that her explosive sex scandal put her in one of the “darkest places that a mind can go” as she gave her final speech on the House floor—and blamed a “misogynistic culture” for her resignation. The California congresswoman said Thursday that she was stepping down due to a “misogynistic culture that gleefully consumed my naked pictures, capitalized on my sexuality and enabled my abusive ex to continue that abuse.”(Snip) “I wanted to show young people, queer people, working people, imperfect people that they belong here because this is the people’s house,” she said.

Financier and alleged pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — whose death was ruled a suicide by the New York City medical examiner’s office — was likely murdered, famed forensic pathologist and Fox News contributor Dr. Michael Baden said on Fox & Friends this morning after examining Epstein’s body. “I’ve not seen in 50 years where that occurred in a suicidal hanging case,” he said of the particular fractures found on Epstein’s neck. (Snip) “Those three fractures are extremely unusual in suicidal hangings and could occur much more commonly in homicidal strangulation,” Baden said. Baden, who has worked on multiple high-profile cases and has examined over 20,000 bodies over a five-decade career,

The only news that matters coming out of Alexander Vindman’s Tuesday impeachment testimony is that he once again proved President Trump has done absolutely nothing impeachable, or even close to it. Vindman, who is obviously all wound up to overturn the 2016 election and have Trump removed from office, could only testify that the transcript of Trump’s now-famous July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky was missing a couple of details. Boy, that sounds ominous! Did Trump conceal the true nature of his phone call??? Did Zelensky also aid in the cover-up by repeatedly claiming he never felt pressured by Trump???? Bombshell time, amirite? Except, no.

Fox News host Sean Hannity said the Justice Department's criminal investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation will "shock the conscience and soul of the nation." He made the bold assertion on Saturday during a Politicon discussion with Democratic strategist James Carville in Nashville, Tennessee. "There's a lot coming," Hannity said. "We got the Horowitz report on FISA abuse report coming. My sources tell me it will shock the conscience and soul of a nation and when the Durham report comes out, that will similarly shock the conscience and soul of the nation about abuse of power and corruption."

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reporters the impeachment inquiry into President Trump is not because of any personal reasons Democrats may have against him. Pelsoi said the impeachment inquiry is consistent to what the Founding Fathers had envisioned for the country and the separate, coequal branches of the government. "In the here and now, we are keeping the republic from a president who says Article II, says I can do whatever I want. Not so. And if so, if you think that is so and you act upon that belief that is in violation of the Constitution of the United States. And so we will proceed

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace called the vote on impeachment in the House "dramatic" and said that he "could feel" the historic gravity of the vote."As somebody who lived and covered Washington for 40 years, as they called the vote I have to say that I could feel it, feel sort of goosebumps," Wallace said Thursday as the House voted successfully to move into the next stage of impeachment. "It's a moment in history. We're going to have some more, but you cannot overstate how dramatic this is and what a decision the Democrats have made to pursue this course."The anchor said he is an "optimist"

Rep. Katie Hill’s dad attacked her estranged husband as a “wicked man”—and called for him to be punished to the “maximum extent” of the law for allegedly leaking scandalous snaps of her, according to a report. The California congresswoman on Sunday announced her resignation and blamed her “abusive” husband, Kenny Heslep, for nude pics that surfaced amid reports she had relationships during her marriage with a male congressional aide and a female campaign staffer. “I have remained silent and watched as Katie and our entire family has had to endure the spectacle created when her estranged husband, sent ‘revenge porn’
