Trump primary challenger Bill Weld said Thursday that he would vote for former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump “in a heartbeat.”The former Massachusetts Republican governor shared a stage at the CITIZEN by CNN conference with two fellow primary candidates — former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford and former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh — and told the crowd that he could easily pull the lever for Biden.

Involved in the governments of Massachusetts and Illinois, I wouldn't be bragging on those credentials since tax gouging and diving into debt seems to be the main concern of both those states. Mark Sanford is just an idiot. Let them run and waste their supporters money, it matters not to us.

Amazing how even a family of such great history --- dating back to the founding of Massachusetts and the United States itself --- can produce such a cropper. Just shows that power and privilege and tut-tut attention can grow a strong oak tree --- or a limpy hot house flower. #11 & # 13 --- Northeast Republicans (Rockefeller, Bloomberg originally, Javits, etc) are in the GOP because they can stand out so easily. There are so few other members in the party! In the Demo-rat party, Weld would be just another nut job and went nowhere.

An uncle of a friend of my sister's brother-in-law revealed anonymously in a secret meeting that all 3 have had either questionable connections with or expressed support for either the Ukraine or Russia. Pres. Trump is speaking right NOW on the OAN channel, but as usual, the alphabets & Fox are not showing this. This is an important address to the Presidential Justice Forum about the vital improvements being made regarding criminal justice. America has a crime/criminal problem and the media is not reporting the steps being taken by this Presiden which are effectively correcting existing problems so long ignored by past Presidents. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is asking Warner Bros. and the makers of “Richard Jewell” to release a statement acknowledging it took dramatic license when it portrayed journalist Kathy Scruggs as trading sex for tips. The Clint Eastwood film looks at the media circus that broke out around Jewell, a security guard who came under suspicion for orchestrating the Centennial Olympic Park bombing before being exonerated. Scruggs, an employee at the paper, broke the story that Jewell was under investigation by the FBI. The film shows Scruggs, portrayed by Olivia Wilde, sleeping with an FBI agent (Jon Hamm) to get the story. Scruggs died in 2001 at the age of 42.

While he was there, he also boasted how journalists in his day could be counted on to report accurately; but today, people got their news from social media which couldn’t be trusted. Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed in a new interview that when his son Hunter was a board member of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings while he was in office, no one informed him that it could pose a problem. Biden insisted again that Hunter did nothing wrong, but this time appeared to fault his staff for not cluing him in that there could be concerns about his son's involvement with the foreign company that had been under investigation while Biden was in office and dealing with Ukraine policy.

Is the ghost of John McCain haunting Senator Lindsey Graham? The South Carolina Senator went on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, to throw a wet blanket on conservatives’ dreams of a Senate trial that would get to the bottom of the plot against President Trump. He wants to leave all those rocks in place, turning nothing over to see what crawls out. Instead, once the House managers present their case, he wants a quick vote, presumably ending in dismissal of the case. In particular, Graham ruled out calling Adam Schiff to testify.

Bush, is entering the race for an open congressional seat in Texas on Monday, according to an email from his father, Neil Bush.The Texas Tribune reported that Pierce Bush, who currently serves as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, is expected to announce his candidacy for the 22nd District of Texas in suburban Houston, which is currently being held by retiring Rep. "What happened to Drudge?"A lot of people have been asking that question lately. If you talk to conservatives these days, you'll hear that Matt Drudge's eponymous news aggregation site has gone over to the dark side—that Matt's joined the anti-Trump resistance. And now, Rasmussen Reports, an arguably reputable polling operation, is calling Drudge out on Twitter, even suggesting that the site has been sold. The whole kerfuffle appears to have begun at the end of November, when the Bongino Report, touted as a Trump-friendly alternative to Drudge, launched. Bongino taunted Drudge with a pair of tweets:

Longtime NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw came on CBS’s The Late Show Monday to talk about his new Watergate book and compare the impeachment inquiry of Richard Nixon to the current impeachment of President Trump. While he was there, he also boasted how journalists in his day could be counted on to report accurately; but today, people got their news from social media which couldn’t be trusted. While comparing his time covering Watergate to the current impeachment proceedings, Brokaw told host Stephen Colbert how journalists used to be considered trustworthy, because they had plenty of time to do their own sourcing and could control what was reported:
