won’t Democrats embrace it?

IN AN ideal world, our leaders would acknowledge the danger of climate change and seek the best way to combat it. If they did, they would easily find an answer that is effective and progressive: The latest bulletin from the International Monetary Fund maps what it would take to restrain warming to tolerable levels without wasting massive amounts of money or unnecessarily harming workers, companies and households.
In our far-from-ideal world, President Trump can’t even acknowledge the problem, and the Democrats who call for immediate action seem to be running from the best solutions.

No.
I'll give you empty skulls at the WP a better idea: have all of you elite, braindead hypocrites give up your mansions, private planes and big cars to lead by example. Oh and give up your ocean front multimillion dollar properties, since after all, they're just going to be under water soon...
How stupid do you think we are?

How about instead of Medicare for all we impose a 70% income e tax and a 5% wealth tax on multi-millionaires and use it to fix the climate instead. I'm sure Chelsea Clinton and her little buddies would be all or it.

Solution to any real problem = Higher taxes.
Solution to any fake problem = Higher taxes.
Rinse and repeat.

The post wants us to pay trillions to collect unicorns. Note also the TRUE purpose of the tax, to redistribute the money to the lower classes, i.e. SOCIALISM.
Meanwhile the actual "problem", warming, will be fixed supposedly because rich people will have to pay for their carbon "excesses". That's why high end cars are no longer being sold, because the well off didn't want to pay for them. WHAT??? That plan didn't work and Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac, Acura, Audi, Infinity, and others are all selling well??? Don't tell me they are still selling BIG boats and private airplanes as well???
Typical Leftist "solution" that doesn't solve the (usually fake) problem and the TRUE purpose of which is to grab POWER, steal MONEY, and impose CONTROL.

There is no need to even attempt it.
Nothing that mankind does has a significant effect on global climate.
Any changes which MIGHT be occurring (highly questionable) are entirely the result of
natural processes which were in place before the human species arose on this planet, and which
will remain in place after our species is gone.
STOP trying to "fix" something that
1) MIGHT be happening
2) MIGHT be bad
3) mankind has nothing to do with

So, presume the WaPo didn't see, or want to see, the recent NASA admission that it's all related to the sun cycles.
And, they've known since the 1950's.

If you insist that lowering the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere from .04% then the answer is nuclear power! I suggest waiting through solar cycle 25, upcoming before taking any action. We might be in for a big surprise.

The peons in the developed nations have acquired a standard of living that is starting to frighten the overlords. Our Ruling Elite are terrified that we the people might realize that we really don't need to be subservient to a ruling class, that takes our wealth and squanders it while they live in luxury.
Hence they must institute usurious taxes to put us back in our place, worrying more about our substinence, than what they are really doing .
