The first UK branch of a popular American chicken restaurant is set to close following a backlash over its owner's stance on LGBT rights. Chick-fil-A opened its first branch of the fast-food chain in Reading just days ago on October 10, but it was revealed that the outlet is set to close in just six months. The opening in the Oracle shopping centre prompted harsh criticism from LGBT groups as the founder's son opposed gay marriage seven years ago in 2012.(Snip) A statement from the Oracle said: 'We always look to introduce new concepts for our customers, however,

This is why we need to get out of these needless wars. You ask, "How does this relate?" The rest of the world is being overcome by socialist, leftist, progressive hate... I would advise all American's... get back home, if they can intimidate a Chic-Fil-A owner to close their doors with the, no doubt, violent threats of their hate in Europe, then get our citizens out of there for their own protection. It is America where freedom reigns and it's getting really hard to find it outside our borders. We think its bad here, go elsewhere and you'll come back and kiss this blessed ground we call the USA!

Such incredibly immature, childish people.
If you dislike the philosophical/religious personal beliefs of the company's management or owner or anything else, just don't go there.

Do LGBT people work? How do they have so much time to be offended? To protest? Britains’s loss with this one.

I guess freedom of opinion involving religious beliefs is unacceptable. Burn him at the stake.

OP, you are so right. The LGBT gestapo would never dare to protest at a Muslim establishment. I don’t recall any Christian group ever throwing a gay man off a roof unlike the intolerant Muslims do. The hypocrisy in the gay community to ignore real violence against them and instead focus on a chicken franchise that has never had a complaint against it because of a refusal of service to gays is absurd. The intolerance and hate on behalf of the LGBT community on perceived discrimination is why people are fed up with their shenanigans. While we may not agree with their lifestyle choices, it is this unending intolerance that is fueling animosity toward them. Frankly, most of us don’t care what they do in the privacy of their homes, but we do not want their sexual inclinations to be pushed in our faces just as most of us don’t want or need to be bombarded by the sexual proclivities of straight people. For goodness sake, give it a rest. Grow up! The need of the LGBT community to destroy what they perceive as discrimination, is doing more harm to their cause than good. They have become a group known for their hate and intolerance and that is turning people off. They are guilty of the very same thing of which they accuse others. These self-righteous virtue signaling protests are accomplishing nothing good for them because reasonable people understand their blatant hypocrisy. It is they who are the bigots.

Remember the good old days when Britain was great?
Very nice people who allowed their freedom to be taken by their own government. Well, they were nice before the barbarian invasion.

A formerly great country is in the midst of self induced suicide. I hope Sir Winston Churchill isn't watching this mess.

Struggling to expand across America? They have openesd over 700 outlets since the LGBT protest a few years ago. That's not struggling, that's booming.

OK, Chick-fil-A agave it a shot, but needs to look at opening stores in Poland, Austria and Hungary. The rest of EU is post-christian and post-morality.
