Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took a veiled shot at Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on Friday, alleging the congresswoman was being groomed by Russia to be a third-party candidate in 2020. The failed 2016 Democrat nominee, who has accused President Donald Trump of being Russia’s “puppet” in the past, made the remarks during an interview on David Plouffe’s Campaign HQ podcast, while discussing Russian interference. Clinton suggested during the exchange that Russian President Vladimir Putin was grooming a stalking horse candidate to ensure Trump would be reelected.

Comments:

Hillary‘s got Russia on the brain.

Anyone who opposes the far left Democrat political agenda has to be some sort of Russian agent, just ask Hillary Clinton. Anyone with any common sense who has been paying attention knows that the Russians are always going to be out there meddling in the affairs of American politicians and the agendas of both USA political parties without having to be egged on as long as the Russians think that whatever they do is advantageous to Russian interests, and including creating disharmony throughout the US Government. Especially after the Hillary Clinton created “Trump colluded with the Russians” dirty trick political fraud. The Russians have been doing things like that since the time of the British Raj in India, and no doubt will continue their efforts. The does not mean that American political candidates like Donald Trump or Tulsi Gabbard are in cahoots with the Russians in anyway. Other countries will do the same thing if they believe that it is in their national interest. As an example Mexican meddled in the 2016 election more than the Russians could ever do, by encouraging millions of Mexican citizens, residing in the USA both illegally and legally, to cast unlawful votes for Clinton who promised all illegal aliens a big amnesty. Even Obama assisted in that effort during his appearances on Spanish language TV telling viewers, about half who are aliens to register and vote for Clinton who after being elected would not allow them to be deported. After Trump was elected the wimpy Republicans never made any sort of a federal case out of that.

We have a serious governance problem. Our system is based on separation of powers, because liberty depends on preventing any component of the state from accumulating too much authority — that’s how tyrants are born. For the system to work, the components have to be able to check each other: The federal and state governments must respect their separate spheres, and the branches of the federal government must be able to rein in a branch that oversteps its authority. The steady federal encroachment on state authority has created an imbalance that probably cannot be rolled back. I want to focus on the collapse of inter-branch checks in the federal government. This

‘No more paughtraits,” John Singer Sargent (1856–1925) wrote to a friend in 1907. Sargent was wry and honest. He was famous by then for his oil portraits of rich people. He’d done a thousand of them, starting with the Paris nouveau riche social climbers and then British aristocrats and American plutocrats. He was a savant, famous at 25 for Madame X, and a wonderful, intelligent artist. At 50, though, he was sick of rich people. He’d grown wealthy himself — painting those portraits — but finally declared independence. He wouldn’t, he proclaimed, do any more portraits. Well, yes and no. Yes, for the rest of his

The Supreme Court has agreed to take up a dispute over the constitutionality of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in a case that could dramatically scale back the agency's authority to police financial markets or eliminate it altogether. The court said Friday it will hear a challenge from a California-based law firm that argues the CFPB, the brainchild of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, is unconstitutionally structured. Opponents of the CFPB, created in 2010, argue that its structure violates the separation of powers, as Congress gave it broad authority to regulate mortgages, credit cards, and other consumer products,

After the so-called “blue wave” of Democratic victories in the 2018 midterm election, the grassroots of both parties looked to the 2019 off-year as a testing ground for the 2020 presidential cycles. With only four states in play and sporadic special elections, 2019’s small skirmishes were hailed as indicators for how the Republican Party would fare in 2020. The result? Well, predictions of another blue wave in 2020 have been tempered by a steady GOP wave in 2019 that signals bad news for Democrats as congressional redistricting kicks off.

While Plato was busy writing dialogues and showing us that Socrates was advocating for free speech more than 2000 years ago, freedom of speech as a legal right did not actually exist until the 17th century. The people of both the United States and Britain were ensured certain rights. Both countries grant freedom of speech, although in modern
