Social media users have strong opinions on former “Three’s Company” actress Suzanne Somers’ recent post celebrating her 73rd birthday in nothing but her “birthday suit.” The actress took to Instagram and Facebook Wednesday to share a photo of herself in Palm Springs, Calif. In the picture, she poses without any clothing, crouching in some tall grass with her arms covering her breasts. "Here I am at 73 in my Birthday Suit!!!" she captioned the snap. (Tweet) The post sent a shockwave amongst her many followers. While most simply wished her a happy birthday, some praised the actress for bearing it all in the racy picture.

Comments:

"And Now for Something Completely Different." I'll close my mouth long enough to say, "Happy Birthday, Suzanne"

Some women just don't know when to quit! She was a Beautiful woman when she was young and her beauty lasted longer than for most of us thanks to lots of help, but there comes a time in a Woman's life when she has to gracefully accept she is getting old! Suzanne has arrived! Put your clothes back on and spread all of that good will you have always had and smile. Enjoy your Golden Years!

Even though Suzanne is an exhibitionist, I've always enjoyed her sense of individualism and not conforming to the Hollywood stereos types. More than any other decade, the seventies tends to catch most women up with the aging factor. The best thing to do is accept it gracefully. As they say beauty comes from within ... and smiling works. Oh Suzanne, the hair style doesn't do a thing for you. You're a pretty woman, try something more age appropriate.

Living in the country, I can’t help but think of the ticks and chiggers who might be wishing her happy birthday as well. I also think that at her age clothing is much more appropriate than baring it all, but then again I think that about any age when in public. Call me old-fashioned but leaving something to the imagination is much sexier in my book.

The shock of an Actress seeking a little more PR has some on this thread showing their mean side. I'll bet every dollar I have that many posting the mocking putdowns are not model material. For 73 and having fought a battle with cancer, she looks great. Maybe her position on what to do if you have cancer deserves a closer look, but this prank is tame compared to any hour of prime time Cable. She has managed to expose the cruel side of many offish posters.

Long-time foes North and South Korea played a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, their first football match in the North in 30 years, but no fans were allowed in the stands and Pyongyang refused to broadcast the game live. There were also no goals. The last time the two sides met in a World Cup qualifier was in Seoul 10 years ago, when the North lost 1-0 before accusing South Korea of poisoning their players’ food ahead of the match. Violent clashes escalated in Barcelona late Friday, as radical Catalan separatists hurled rocks and fireworks at police, who responded with teargas and rubber bullets, turning the city centre into a chaotic battleground. The deterioration came on the fifth consecutive day of protests in the Catalan capital and elsewhere over a Spanish court's jailing of nine separatist leaders on sedition charges over a failed independence bid two years ago. Around half a million people rallied in Barcelona earlier on Friday, police said, in the biggest gathering since Monday's court ruling as separatists also called a general strike in the major tourist destination.

The numbers are still a tiny fraction of the overall illegal activity at the border. Senators gave a backhand approval Thursday to President Trump’s border emergency wall-building plans by failing to override his veto. Ten Republicans sided with Democrats, mustering 53 votes in favor of overturning Mr. Trump — but it was far short of the two-thirds tally needed to actually force the president to retreat. The failure means Mr. Trump’s February emergency proclamation declaring a border emergency, and claiming powers to shift money from the Pentagon to wall-building, remains in effect. But he still faces legal hurdles, with a federal judge in Texas last week ruling the proclamation illegal. That judge is still deciding what penalty to impose.

During a press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Trump noted that Italy and the U.S. are bound together through shared ties to the ancient city, saying, "The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years to ancient Rome." The Founding Fathers of the U.S. had a well-documented affinity for the Roman republic, evidence of which is prevalent in American representative government and civic architecture.
