Tucker Carlson announced that former Fox News and NBC news anchor Megyn Kelly will appear on his program Wednesday for her first TV interview since being fired at NBC one year ago. Kelly’s sudden departure from NBC resulted from comments she made on the “Today” show in which she questioned and defended dressing in blackface for a Halloween costume. She said it was “okay when I was a kid” and did not understand how dressing in blackface could now be considered racist. A social media firestorm ensued and NBC quickly parted ways with the conservative news personality.

To her point about "... dressing in blackface for a Halloween costume ..." which was 20-30 years ago ... my questions is this: is there a limit on how far back is far enough? I am starting to think that there is a limit: one's actual birth day. Heck the left is still trying to pillory John Wayne for his Playboy interview way back when. John Wayne has been dead for over 30 years!

I'm pretty much out of touch re: Fox for the past year or so but my hunch is if they're bringing back this dingbat it's only because it will damage Donald Trump. We know how he is sometimes and cleaning her pointed little clock now and then will be irresistible. Most of us will love it but this is the stuff that harms him.

Over at NBC it's forbidden to admit to wearing blackface as a prank when you were 10 years old but it's perfectly OK for senior management to chase all the female NBC employees and proposition and harass them. What a disgusting commentary on NBC management! I hope Megyn comes back to Fox. She was first rate.

I guess I don't get the whole 'it's racist to dress up with blackface.' If you're playing a part, you dress like the part. If I was playing Ali Babba, I'd probably put on dark foundation to look Arabian. Heck, Michael Jackson was busy trying to look white, and no one said he was racist. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another case where we are accepting a liberal premise and letting them control the narrative. I have yet to hear any lib explain exactly why it's racist to try to look black if you're dressing up as a black character. And no one ever really explained why, when Kelly made her comment.
