Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto appeared momentarily stunned at the beginning of his show after hearing that his colleague Shepard Smith's last day at the network was Friday.Smith, who had been at the network since its inception in 1996, announced during the end of his Friday broadcast that it would be his last day after 23 years at Fox News. Cavuto's show began moments after Smith broke the news on his own show."Woah. I’m Neil Cavuto and like you, I'm a little stunned and a little heartbroken. I don’t know what to say. Shepard Smith, as I said, just a few days ago on this very network,

Does anyone find it odd that Barr meets with Murdock one day , Shep is gone the next ??? Neil is a Big Boss at Fox & he didn't know??? The whole thing is very odd, didn't Shep just sign a17 million $$ contract? The new Fox with Paul Ryan & Brazil stinks. My guess is Shep is going to CNN or MSNBC.

It has been longer than the past 18 months that FOX has been intolerable, because that is how long ago I stopped watching anything besides the weather channel and cartoons/

The Brass said they will rotate Headliners to fill Smith's desk. I would bet Donna Brazile is going to be in that rotation! Maybe Juan or Geraldo could also fill that hour. I don't care because I've filled that hour with people I can stomach! Should be interesting!

Why is is shocking for a person with no ratings to be let go? Fox only kept him due to their reading of affirmative action.

The only problem I see is that Paul Ryan will find someone even more leftist and who hates Trump even more to replace him.
You watch.

Smith started a civil war at Fox and he wasn’t going to win. He denigrated the prime time shows, the Fox money makers, as just opinion shows and their hosts as less worthy than him, a real news man. The problem was, he mostly seemed to just hype Dim talking points because his “I hate Donald Trump” glasses didn’t allow him to see anything favorable to President Trump. Parroting everything from CNN means he was a lazy opinionist with a smug tone. I watch everything from The Five to Shannon on Fox and I hear a lot of news, breaking news, investigative journalist reports and smart analysis. Of course, prime time is a mix of news and opinions, but it isn’t wise to bad-mouth colleagues. Smith didn’t work and play well with others, something he should have learned in kindergarten. Chris Wallace should consider learning from Smith’s departure and ask himself why no one from the administration wants to come on his Sunday show.

Shep can always get a gig on the View with the other women. A bit more Alice Cooper type makeup around the eyes and he's good to go. I never forget his mascara running while he cried on the I-10 overpass in New Orleans when he begged someone to help a black woman escaping flood waters during Hurricane Katrina. Smith praised the governor Kathleen Blanco and her Bush hating husband (Ray Blanco) for stopping federal help that Bush offered. Yeah Shep there's plenty of work for a Trump hater but the pay might not be too good ask Meghan Kelly about a belly flop career.

I don’t believe Barr’s meeting with Rupert Murdoch had anything to do with Shep’s firing. Barr has far bigger fish to fry and Rupert gave up control of Fox News to his sons. One has gone elsewhere; Lib Lachlan is running the show. But Paul Ryan is probably REALLY running the shows.
Laying it on Barr is a convenient Lib trick. Look over there….

Oh plllleeeeaaase! No one will miss Shep. And especially Sean Hannity.
Neil is such a back biter and anti republican blowhard! All these guys are doing is protecting their positions.
John Roberts may even be auditioning for the open slot.
Please....shocked. He asked for it. And no he is not a nice person. I have read reports of his prima dona behavior, rudeness to those attend to him, meanness to his lovers, and frankly...he is a total jerk, liar, and fraud.
Glad he is gone...now for a few others.

OAN News giving FOX a run for their money. So who knows maybe the Murdock kids will sober up and realize that the money does not come as a result of being a mini CNN.

Neil Cavuto is a jerk, who makes statements all the time that are misleading or are not true.
Just a new minutes ago he opined that President Trump had ordered the withdrawal of US troops from the Syrian region, in reality there are many thousands of US troops still there. In reality Trump’s order actually only caused the withdrawal of about fifty (50) US Troops who were deployed as observers along the Syrian-Turkish Border where a large scale Turkish ground attack was imminent. If those 50 US soldiers had stayed there some of them could have been killed through the fortunes of ground combat. Obviously from Trump’s comments he did not want to see that happen.
An example of such a dangerous situation to US troops occurring happened yesterday, when one round apparently fired by Turkish artillery landed a couple of hundred meters from a known US forces position. Even that happening is extremely dangerous, I remember back in 1968 in Vietnam, I was near an incident where one US 155mm artillery round that was erroneously aimed, landed within our position in the middle of the night, causing a soldier to be seriously wounded on top of a US tank turret a hundred yards away, when he was hit by a piece of shrapnel from the round that amputated his arm. It’s easy for DC “chicken hawks” to put US Troops in harms way. I’m with Trump, the USA should stop fighting other countries wars that have nothing to do with US national defense. If the USA were to effectively defend its borders and institute common sense immigration laws intending foreign terrorists would no longer be able to get into the USA to conduct terrorist attacks.
Cavuto is completely anti-Trump, and has positioned himself as a supporter of the globalist investor class that does not give a hoot about ordinary American workers.
