Socialism, including greenie socialism, is always about blaming Those Greedy Capitalists for whatever hideous policies the government cooks up, which inevitably prompts an unintended consequence.
California's Gov. Gavin Newsom is right there with the best of them, blaming the wreckers and hoarders for California's massive power outages, taking northern California back to a state of nature and, in the full greenie spirit, telling us it's needed, necessary, all for our own good.
Get a load of it, from the Sacramento Bee, emphasis mine:

Sign the recall petition. This clueless communist is the problem, not the solution.

I heard on a radio station that it was announced that Tesla owners should fill up before the outage. I wonder how long the batteries in the cell phones are going to hold up?

Well, in our neck of the woods, the utilities commission was smart enough to allow pricing that covered technology upgrades. Our power lines are buried. We don't worry about wind or ice storms.

Mr. Newsom, every decision for PG&E is made by the government, so you are to blame for whatever happens.

No. Proper care of the forests is needed. Wherever there are power lines, brush needs to be cleared and dead trees removed. California and common sense are are different planets.

The tent cities are not particularly concerned because they don't have Teslas to charge. The illegal alien community is not particularly concerned because it's a bit like home. Would be a nice time to have a couple of small windmills and some solar panels charging up the batteries than CAN in fact power your individual house. The power GRID exists to enrich the sorry SOB's who decided nation wide AC was the way to go. Thanx Mr (con) Edison.

Is Newsom outraged, or believes the outage is necessary? That's a liberal politician for you. He is both, and the fault lies with the power companies, rather than liberal environ-mental policies. PG&E might supply the spark, but the liberals supplied the fuel. Nature supplies the air, and that is all that is needed for a fire. Now... if there just wasn't so much brush and trees there wouldn't be any massive fires.
PG&E has no doubt been lax about upgrades and maintenance. They've probably been paying so much to comply with government regulations that they can't afford it. Their maintenance workers are no doubt a bunch of affirmative action hires with little experience. Plenty of blame to go around, and little responsibility accepted. Wind, smokers, sparks, campfires have all been around for a long time. What has changed? Let me think....

This is the result of the laws passed to restrict real forestry management in the name of saving the poor little families of birds, bugs, squirrels and other forest creatures living there in their little homes. The results were the massive destructive fires we have had here over the last several years. They try to save the forest by doing nothing to save it. Let nature be nature. Way to go Gavinito Newsolinni. In the end, all of the little forest creatures die as well as countless people as well as the total destruction of their homes. So now the turn off the electricity to prevent sparks. How about turning off your thinking to prevent stupidity.

Betya the lights didn't go out at the Governor's mansion, Horizontal Kamala's digs, Nancy Pelosi's palace, nor Diane Finewswine's. Technically these are not black outs but brown outs. A black out is when you lose power accidentally. When it's planned it's a brown out. All those people lighting candles, whale oil lamps, etc are much more of a fire hazard than high tension wires in the wind.

I am sure he probably wanted to add that the outages were needed to punish the wrong thinking people. did silicon valley lose power? Did Hollyweird lose power? Nope! Just the bumpkins who do not support the takeover of the state by Fascists.

Of course Newsom says its needed. The eco-terrorists say so. After all, isn't that where all the eco-terrorist policies come from as well as campaign cash? It's all in keeping with Agenda 21 to reduce population numbers. I'm actually surprised the cut-off of power didn't happen in the summer.
