Police in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue had a chance to get Carlos Daniel Carillo-Lopez, an illegal immigrant, off the streets in March—but a local jail defied a deportation notification request from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and released him into the community. Three weeks later, police say, the 19-year-old Guatemalan, eager to join the violent Surenos street gang, took part in a murder posse that tracked down and slew a teen from a rival gang. Mr. Carillo-Lopez, who came to the U.S. as part of the Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) surge, is at the crossroads

In and out of jail repeatedly over the past 6 months while culturally enriching the yokels, but the local police are with The Resistance, so each time they refused to hand him over to ICE. And somewhere down in the fiery furnace, John McCain is mumbling something about $5 lettuce.

When these illegals are released to go on and perpetuate a crime the victim(s) should have the right to sue the city/state responsible for monetary payment. It is awful.

not sure if Washington has the death penalty, but if they do, those at the "jail" who let him on the streets should pay for his sins with their lives.. if they don't have the death penalty, they should be imprisoned for the rest of their lives with MS13 gang members..

Reaping what they have sown. AOC wants to empty out the jails, imagine the blood in the streets if that happens.

Yeah, and now what? Is anyone going to be held criminally or personally liable for defying federal law that resulted in someone's death?

How can the Dems continue to claim that their sanctuary city plans do anything besides increase crime in their cities? How low would the US crime rate be without all the criminals from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico who are HERE, robbing, raping and murdering?

Criminals are the demonrats voting base. Nothing will happen until a demonrat politician or one of their kids gets murdered by one of their prized criminals...and maybe not even then. The ballot box is the only way to get rid of them. You'd think voters would get a clue, wouldn't you.

Unaccompanied illegal alien minors are the worst. Send them back to where they belong. I paid full college tuition for my children, not a penny in student debt, yet these aliens get full ride need-based fellowships at theUniversity of California.

An Oklahoma sheriff’s department defied ICE and released an accused rapist from jail this week—and within hours he was back at the door of his alleged victim, the agency said Thursday, saying the county’s sanctuary policy put the woman at risk. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had asked that he be transferred to the custody of deportation officers, but the sheriff’s department refused, and released him instead.(Snip) ICE says the county adopted its sanctuary policy in the last few months, ending

Elizabeth, N.J.—A New Jersey man already serving a life term for planting bombs in New York City has been convicted of attempted murder and assault stemming from a shootout with police three years ago. Ahmad Khan Rahimi sat quietly during the reading of the verdicts Tuesday. Rahimi engaged police in a gun battle after they found him in Linden, New Jersey. He fired at several officers and was wounded himself. The jury deliberated over two days before convicting the Afghanistan-born naturalized U.S. citizen of all 30 counts. Rahimi’s attorney argued his client acted in self-defense.

Washington - Each state in America has an official state bird, usually an iconic species that helps define the landscape. Minnesota chose the common loon, whose haunting wails echo across the state’s northern lakes each summer. Georgia picked the brown thrasher, a fiercely territorial bird with a repertoire of more than 1,000 song types. But as the planet warms and birds across the country relocate to escape the heat, at least eight states could see their state birds largely or entirely disappear from within their borders during the summer, according to a new study.

While the Supreme Court heard arguments on Tuesday about whether sex discrimination, as codified in the 1964 Civil Rights Act, also applies to sexually fluid people – intersex, transgender -- activists protested outside the court proclaiming that sex is not based on biology. LGBT activists yelled, “trans women are women” and had several speakers lecture on gender diversity. On the other side, the conservative group Concerned Women of America pressed that changing the meaning of “sex” in the Civil Rights Act “would greatly undermine the women's movement.” They held signs that read, "Sex is not Gender."

In the latest edition of La Repubblica, Pope Francis' longtime atheist friend and interviewer, Eugenio Scalfari, claims that the Pope told him that once Jesus Christ became incarnate, he was a man, a "man of exceptional virtues" but "not at all a God." The teaching of the Catholic Church and most Christian churches is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was incarnated as fully man and fully God. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church states, "The unique and altogether singular event of the Incarnation of the Son of God does not mean that Jesus Christ is part God and part man, nor does it imply that he is the result
