A Clinton-appointed federal judge tossed President Donald Trump’s lawsuit on Monday to keep his tax returns concealed. The President filed an emergency appeal and the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday handed Trump a win granted him a stay to delay the release of 8 years of his tax returns. The lawsuit was filed last week by crooked Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance. The Clinton-appointed judge wrote a 75-page order and called Trump’s presidential immunity argument “unqualified and boundless.”

“The Clinton-appointed judge wrote a 75-page order and called Trump’s presidential immunity argument “unqualified and boundless.”
But isn’t this request for 8 years of tax returns “unqualified and boundless”? Isn’t the IRA responsible for auditing tax returns? Why would the son of a former Dem Secretary of State, Cyrus Vance, and the daughter of James Comey, a member of Vance’s prosecuting team, be allowed to have such powers over the Executive?

If the Rebublicans had a spine, they would immediately send out subpoenas to for every prominent Democrat Federal and state politician and their families. Start with Hunter Biden and don't forget Vance and Comey's daughter. And just say, thanks to this Clinton Judge, we with oversite have unlimited access to tax returns. Go nuclear and see how the Dems like it.

Okay. Let's say that there is a "tax issue" with a private payment that Mr Trump made in 2016 to Ms. Stormy. Why would you need returns from 2015 and before or 2017 and after? Me thinks that Mr Vance is going fishing and is too cheap to buy his own pole.

I want some legal beagles to subpoena Obamas college records. Let's see how hard the left will fight to prevent those from becoming public.

Fishing expeditions, such as this one, into DJTs income tax filings, are a way for the dimocrats to allege all sorts of bad things against DJT.
One has to remember that IRS conclusions/approvals of prior year filings are not binding on the IRS. And while the IRS issues rulings on specific questions, (they call them advisory letters) the IRS is not bound by its own advisory letters! And they tell you that in the advisory letter!
Someone like DJT who made his billions in real estate most surely has astonishingly complicated income tax filings. And some of the transactions and deductions will look peculiar to many people, and the dimocrats can use those to further smear the president.
Here is one example:
#1 owns a shopping center, with a value of 50 million dollars. #1 depreciated that property over the proper number of years. If he sells the property for 100 million dollars, he would have a capital gain of big bucks.
But if #2 owns a similar shopping center, same facts on depreciation, IRS code allows #1 and #2 to swap their properties, with zero taxes due.
(The IRS code covering such tax free swaps was written in the 1930s to allow farmers to physically consolidate their land, to promote efficiency in tilling the land.)
The provision has been used widely by non-farmers ever since.)

If the President can't keep his taxes confidential why should any of the rest of us file our returns? If the democrats are going to make any of their perceived enemies a target for a public display of our returns and you know if they can do this to the President then they sure as hell can do it to the rest of us.
Ms. Pelosi you can raise our taxes but in the end the American people have to agree to pay them and plenty of us can delay or deny or fight you and you will be hard pressed to pay for your many programs then, won't you? There are ways to delay and if the public decided to do it you would be in a heap of trouble. This government depends on the trust of the AMerican people and you are betraying us at every turn. Careful where you go with this attack it just might bring you all down to earth.

The last I heard was that sharing your tax returns was not required for running for president.

Outrageous! I hope the suit specifies that the returns will be turned over when the President leaves office then they won't be of any value. Another witch hunt in the works.
In some countries people like Vance would simply disappear. I'm beginning to believe that our laws are much too civilized.

Sorry Judgie, I am President and you are a lowly judge...go pound sand...Until the SCOTUS says I have to do this I won't! You don't have the authority to order a President to do SQUAT!
