Former Rep. Paul Ryan was the Speaker of the House for the first two years of the Trump administration, but he believes his new job as a board member of Fox Corporation will finally allow him to "do something" about President Donald Trump, according to a new report in Vanity Fair.
Ryan, who joined the Fox Corporation board in March, is now reportedly one of the most important voices pushing Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch to transition Fox New and pivot away from Trump, according to Vanity Fair.

I am very proud the only Republican for whom I did not vote for since 18 was the Romney/Ryan ticket.

This should put the final nail in Fox’s coffin.
Ryan is a wicked traitor.

Ryan the RINO, may think this would be a smart move, but I doubt becoming more like MSDNC is a smart move.

You do that and see how fast millions of us pivot away from FOX. Then your numbers will be on par with msnbc, cnbc, msnbc and all the others. In the toilet.

Fox itself will be like Megyn Kelly - distrusted by the Left, and shunned by the Right. If they take this tack, I predict their rapid demise. I would agree that the true conservatives on Fox and other networks and radio programs should start up a new, conservative network, never mind the "fair and balanced."

While I don't doubt that Ryan is a "never Trump RINO", I also consider the "source" of this "information" is Vanity Fair -- one of the most rabid anti-Trump rag sheets out there!!!
Fox News used to be the one "fair and balanced" news station on TV. But awhile ago, they decided to try to be more lie-beral, and they have quickly gone from cable news total dominance to competing with ultra-lie-beral propaganda outlets like MSNBC and CNN -- and watching their ratings crash. I really don't know how much worse they can get than to fully mimic MSNBC!!!.

Question:
Why didn't he "do something" when he was Speaker of the House?
Though, I think I read some place that he liked to exercise a lot.
But, that would be so great if there were a conservative network, and the really good writers would swarm to it, and we would have really interesting broadcasting. It would be so great! I might get cable again.

If this piece is accurate, Paul Ryan is not much of a Reagan Republican at all. The first Republican rule of thumb under Reagan was, "Speak no ill of your fellow Republicans." Ryan may not like Mr. Trump's style. Fine. But what does Ryan make of Mr. Trump's policies? What does he make of the judges Mr. Trump has nominated?
Remember: Republicans in Congress ran on repealing and replacing Obamacare. First they needed the House. Then they needed the Senate after they'd won the House. Then they needed the White House after they'd won the House and the Senate. They got all three.
But Ryan was so politically constipated he couldn't pass gas let alone a repeal and replace that was successful in both houses of Congress. So . . . do-nothing Ryan would be wise to shut his yap and beg God for forgiveness for being such a tool.

That is, if you can trust Vanity Fair to tell the truth. Even so, Ryan is a weasel of the highest order.

Fox is already in trouble. Not just me but everyone I know no longer watches Fox as he/she/they once did. I tune in for news headlines in the early am and then tune out. I no longer watch Bret Baier...the EDIT on the business channel is superior. Nor do I watch Martha McCallum aka: Martha The Mouth That Roars. She sits drooling as she tries to interrupt as she shows no interest in what's being said whatsoever. Shep is been long gone, Cavuto as well, and the list of so called experts they haul out for panels is an immediate tune out call. Who with an IQ that cracks ten could consider Brazile using her black American speaking accent as fair or balanced? She sneaked questions to Hillary before debates and that's only one instance. She'd sell her mother for a nickel. Then we have Jonah Golderg, Geraldo, the billard balls from the evening shows, and a line up that includes the liar Page from USA Today, AB Stoddard and her vile anti Trump screeds...you get the picture. I can't think of more than a handful of people they haul out who are worth listening to.
Leave it to the Murdoch boys and their flaming leftie wives to tank Fox. If it weren't for the business channel we'd be all done now. Fox and Friends is a joke. If poor dumb Ainsley could form a complete thought or ask a question that wasn't puerile or stupid...and the cute stuff and sports in front of the building...tedious at best, boring at worst, always annoying and definitely the cue to switch to the business channel or local news. And now Paul Ryan? Hey Fox...go to WI and question people who know this far, far left dimwit toady for Romney. Knowing about his association with Fox is enough to tune out...the man is a two bit badly compromised butt kisser for the left who wears a GOP button when it's convenient.

Ryan destroyed The House now he's in the process of destroying Fox...so long Fox. I guess the same people who hired Ryan hired Brazil??? This morning a congressman said Ryan would not allow them to issue ONE subpoena!!! Fox has been going off the deep end for a while, my viewership has decreased about 90%.

This guy is incapable of sensing what Republican people want, he showed that again and again when he was in office. If Fox follows his suggestions, they'll make a grave mistake.

Thanks 13, I wondered if there was a CONSERVATIVE station I could to go every morning. I will check OANN out! I don't have the stomach to watch FOX go with the Lefties. I already turn it off for 5 or 6 of their people. Might as well fine a new Home where I'm comfortable! Wonder if we could take Jessie with us!
