Former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake made a bold claim on Thursday when he said "at least 35" GOP senators would privately vote for President Trump's impeachment.
Appearing at the 2019 Texas Tribune Festival, Flake, a frequent critic of the president, offered his own reaction and predicted that close to three dozen Republican senators would back impeachment.
"I heard someone say if there were a private vote there would be 30 Republican votes. That's not true," Flake said during a Q&A. "There would be at least 35."

Oh Lord, please swat that irritating little gnat. He is such an embarrassment to the great state of Arizona. He ran off with his tail between his legs because he knew he would not win reelection.

Right. The Republicans need another Bush, McCain, Romney, Kasich, Flake (etc., ad nauseum) to lead them to victory.
Got news for you clowns: post-Trump, whenever that occurs, we're not coming back. It's over.

Flake is a little POS, but it wouldn't surprise me if this were true. Senate Republicans are a bunch of spineless wimps who don't like the fact that Trump is upsetting their go along and get along easy life. They are GOPe, who are afraid to fight because it would/could disturb their plush life style. Few of them can be trusted to look after the nations interest or the interest of the Republican base. Look what they did for decades, promising us all kinds of things if we would just give them the House, Senat and the Presidency -- we did and they didn't perform. Trump is fighting the Dems, the media, the deep state and most importantly, the GOPe, both in the House nd in the Senate.

I'm afraid that there may be 35 GOPe scum ready to throw the President to the wolves.
This is the last hurrah of the Uniparty before 2020. This is an attempt to stampede the politicians and public by working up hysteria in the press in order to panic them.

Our Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, not plutocrats feeding at the public trough for life... Ed Markey, Biden, and so many others. I'm afraid my new hobby horse will be term limits. You don't need 'experience' to be in Congress. Quite the opposite.

Privately? Maybe. But underneath it all, they are all wimps, and would not dare cross Pres. Trump this publicly on something this Constitutional. And the vote must be public.
I'm thinking Rob Portman, Susan Collins, et al.

The Republican Senators are away too wimpy to do that, as they know that the Republican voters who elected President Trump to drain the DC Swamp where Joe Biden is the ultimate Swamp Creature would never vote for them again. Most would have to quit before they got primaried out of office.

Now that he's voluntarily left Congress because he knew he wouldn't be reelected, what's his gig now? Scrubbing toilets? It's about all he's qualified for.

Half baked, Flake.
It is amusing but tedious that every time the Left launches another attack, the propaganda media pulls out the same lame commenters to "Tsk, Tsk" at Trump; Rummey, Flake, etc. I'm surprised they didn't dig up McPain to see what he had to say. They never address the substance of the issue because there is none. They just want the condemnation.

Ironically, Flake replacement Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat with unique proclivities, would probably vote against impeachment.

We have yet to hear what in the world they plan to impeach Trump for. Perhaps because of the hair across their own Donkey.
