Former CIA official on whistleblower: ‘How could
this be an intelligence matter?’

I am troubled by the complaint and wonder how an intelligence officer could file it over something a president said to a foreign leader. How could this be an intelligence matter? It appears likely to me that this so-called whistleblower was pursuing a political agenda. I am very familiar with transcripts of presidential phone calls since I edited and processed dozens of them when I worked for the NSC. I also know a lot about intelligence whistleblowers from my time with

Earlier this month, during a bipartisan meeting in Kiev, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) delivered a pointed message to Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky. While choosing his words carefully, Murphy made clear — by his own account — that Ukraine currently enjoyed bipartisan support for its U.S. aid but that could be jeopardized if the new president acquiesced to requests by President Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to investigate past corruption allegations involving Americans, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family.

The ideological war between prominent Fox News channel program hosts has gone hot – and this time the dust up is approaching near-nuclear levels of direct on camera mano a mano. The combatants are veteran Fox News afternoon news program host Shepard Smith and prime time opinion show host Tucker Carlson. The foil for pouring gasoline on the long simmering fire between the Fox News opinion and news department sides is prominent Washington, D.C. Republican attorney Joseph diGenova. Appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Tuesday at 8 P.M. E.T., diGenova called Fox News paid contributor Andrew Napolitano, the channel’s “senior judicial analyst,” “a fool”

Well, this is certainly an odd coincidence! In fact, when you dig in, you find an amazing series of coincidences. If you believe in coincidences when the CIA is involved, that is. Mitt Romney’s national security advisor in his 2012 campaign -- a career CIA spook who rose to its top levels -- sits on the board of directors of Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company that formerly paid Hunter Biden $50k a month despite his complete lack of credentials or qualifications. And it also an odd coincidence that Mitt has as CNN puts it “been a lone Republican voice expressing concern about President Donald Trump's July phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky

A 12-year-old girl says three of her male classmates at a Virginia private school pinned her down and cut her dreadlocks, calling her hair “ugly” and “nappy.” The group of white sixth-grade boys ambushed Amari Allen during recess Monday, as she was about to use the slide on the playground at the Immanuel Christian School in Fairfax, Virginia, local outlets reported. “They said my hair was nappy and I was ugly,” Allen, who is African American, told News4. One of the boys covered Allen’s mouth and another held her hands behind her back, while the third cut her dreadlocks with a pair of scissors, she said.

Dear Democrats, I’m mad at you. I was raised a die-hard, bleeding-heart liberal. My grandmother was an Irish Catholic New Englander who worshipped JFK almost as much as Jesus. My dad and his nine siblings sang for the Kennedys at Hammersmith Farm. For decades, I was a loyal regular at your bar until suddenly you started ignoring me. You took my support for granted and dismissed my concerns, focusing instead on courting the young city hipsters with their scooters and their designer weed and their craft beers. You began overlooking pragmatic moderates and catering to loud extremists who favor rewriting the Constitution and accelerating our lurch towards socialism.

Chobe National Park, Botswana — Prince Harry says “no one can deny science” when it comes to climate change. He spoke Thursday during his visit to Botswana, the latest stop on his Africa tour with his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and their baby, Archie. Conservation is a major issue during the 10-day, multi-country trip that began this week in neighboring South Africa. Noting the global student climate strikes inspired by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, the prince said that “it’s a race against time and one which we are losing.” He also called Botswana a place of “escapism” for him

Muslim woman in northern Virginia claims she was denied a job because she asked about taking two five-minute prayer breaks during her shift. In a suit filed in federal court on Tuesday, 26-year-old Shahin Indorewala maintains her interview for a junior management position with Fast Trak Management in Falls Church was going well—until she inquired about taking the breaks in exchange for a shorter lunch. Observant Muslims are expected to pray five times a day, where ever they may be. With the schedule for the job set for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Indorewala said she knew at least two of those prayer sessions would take place during business hours.

Hillary Clinton remains shackled to her lust for power and revenge, and now is signaling that she may enter the Democrats’ presidential contest when ex-Vice President Joe Biden withdraws and serves as the fall-guy for Ukraine's collusion with her 2016 presidential campaign. She realizes that her party’s frenzy to unseat President Trump will consume the ambition of the hapless halfwit to gain the Oval Office that rightfully belongs to her, as his familial dirty laundry is aired in an effort to find Trump impeachment fodder in Ukraine. Hillary is not committing to the race, but keeping that option very open.

The "OK" hand gesture has been added to an expanding list of hate symbols used by white supremacists. The Anti-Defamation League announced dozens of new additions to its database on Thursday. The hand symbol began as a hoax by users of the website 4chan before turning into a popular trolling tactic, according to the Anti-Defamation League. By this year, it had evolved into a gesture embraced "in some circles as a sincere expression of white supremacy," the civil rights group said. The suspect in the New Zealand massacre last March flashed the symbol during his court appearance in March after

‘L’etat, c’est moi,” the Sun King is supposed to have said, “I am the state.” Louis XIV was one of the architects of modern dictatorship, and President Donald Trump likes more about his style than merely his taste in armchairs. President Trump, in a fashion unbecoming the chief administrative officer of a republic — which is all he is — habitually confuses himself and the state. One example among many: President Trump, asked whether his trade war might hurt his standing among U.S. farmers, who are paying the price for it, answered: “They can’t be too upset, because I gave them $12 billion, and I gave them $16 billion this year.”
