First lady Melania Trump greeted Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife, Jennifer Morrison, at the White House on Friday for a state dinner in shades of cool blues — a nod to the island nation’s aquatic lifestyle. For the daytime, Mrs. Trump welcomed the Morrisons in an icy blue crepe knit dress by Scanlan Theodore, the Aussie brand founded in Melbourne in 1987. The dress features billowing cocoon-like sleeves, a cinched belt and v-neck cutout, retailing for about $800. The cool tone is not only synonymous with Mrs. Trump, who has made the shade one of her signatures since her debut as first lady when she wore
She is a lovely charming lady who dresses beautifully, but I am not a fan of the form fitting dress or the one she wore to dinner.

Agree with #1. She is far and away one of the most beautiful 1st ladies ever, at least in my life time, which goes back to Roosevelt.

You have to appreciate the mathematical precision of the First Lady's tummy bulge.
Every millimeter tells a story.

I'm a big fan of Melania Trump and I don't think we have ever had a lovelier or classier First Lady. But that pale blue dress with the balloon sleeves is a mistake. Please, no more outlines of Melania's navel.

Melania Trump was the perfect hostess. She could have pulled out all the stops and gone full Melania glamour, but having spent time with Jenny Morrison in Biarritz and undoubtedly knowing that the former school teacher was new to the first lady game, Melania opted to dress conservatively and modestly and let Jenny have a chance at the spotlight.
The seafoam dress was a garden party dress. Not the most flattering gown she has ever worn, but I believe it was worn for a purpose. The pale blue knit that she wore in the arrival ceremony was by an Australian designer. It was not custom made, but off the rack at around $600-700. It did not fit well. But again, it was worn for a purpose. Melania knew this occasion had to properly be about the Morrisons, the honored guests. Not the Trumps.
She is as masterful at her job as the President is at his.

Spanx would have given that dress a smoother look.

There is no doubt that our Melania Trump is a stunningly beautiful woman, but that dress at the Australian dinner was not her. Blue could've been done better.

I didn't care for the form fitting dress either. Too much form and not enough fit. It was just a tad too snug. It looked to me as though she might have a little "something" going on in her womb. I sorta' liked the evening dress, except for the sleeves. They looked like an after thought. Actually, I thought the garden dinner gown was too much dress. She looks better in more tailored clothes. I guess because of her height.
I don't always like what Melania wears. Most times she gets it right.
She is still an improvement over Big Mike.....make that a BIG IMPROVEMENT!

Thank you #12. Our First Lady engages in diplomacy via Fashion, and she does so masterfully. She is way more intelligent than given credit. She knows what she is doing.
