Liberals desperately need to see impeachment happen, if for nothing more than to soothe their own hurt feelings. It's hard not to feel bad for them now, as they realize that it’s just not going to happen.
Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson finds himself in this sad state of affairs. After reading his latest op-ed, I’m thinking of sending him a care package.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi walked out of her regular press briefing on Thursday morning, in a huff after a reporter asked whether Democrats were in the early stages of pursuing the impeachment process. Just a few hours later, Robinson warned — warned! —

Not so fast, Eddie. The dims have dug their impeachment hole quite deep now and must now stew in their own fat.

Nadler is going to still stir the pot. Impeachment is hear to stay until Trump is re-elected in 2020. In fact, impeachment will push him over the winner's line.

FTA: Robinson ended with another warning — a warning! — that by declining to pursue impeachment, “future generations will judge all who decided, for whatever reason, to put politics above duty.”
Sounds like someone counting on a purge. Does he have a picture of Pol Pot in his office?

The Congress has one and only one task that they have to do. And that task is to pass a budget for the coming fiscal year which starts October 1st. They have not done this. instead they have doubled down on the effort to destroy President Trump after all the allegations against him have been shown to be lies.
They need to be thrown out of office.

What one must realize is that anyone who doesn't hue to the warped concept of what it means to be a democrat (do and say what the "party" decrees no matter how ridiculous, dishonest, self-serving, or stupid it is} is a "liar" and should be, at least, publicly condemned.

Pelosi did not lift a finger to save anybody from impeachment. The only person saving themselves from impeachment is Trump, who on his own preserved Republican control of the Senate, with zero help from McConnell, or anybody else. No other person could have withstood the attempt to overthrow the president the way Trump has done. Trump whipped all of them. The House Freedom Caucus gave him a lot of help. And Trump supporters are going nowhere except to the polls in 2020 to re-elect Trump.

Their biggest accusation is that Trump is lying. The rest of us do not hear lies, we hear promises and predictions to things to come and then, guess what? It happens. North Korea wants to continue talking. China is coming around, slowly and expensively. The economy is like a skyrocket. My investments are unbelievable. Donald Trump is a huge success and Hillary is not, that is their reason to hate him. Impeachment is a dead horse and only people as dense as Jerry Nadler do not get it. Adam Schiff is sitting on his "proof" like an old hen on a cracked egg.
If Barack Obama was impeached for every lie he told, the proceedings would still be going on three years after the fact.

Fatso is just going through the motions of appearing to advance impeachment because he's desperately trying to fend off a primary challenge from an AOC wannabe. He saw what happened to Joe Crowley.and is pandering to the AOC crowd.

Well, Squaw Warren is on the warpath too, threatening Trump may not be a free man after 2021. On what does she base this absurd assertion?

FTA: ''...Trump lies constantly to the American people,” he wrote. “I don’t need to give examples...''
You don't have any examples! If you did, you would tell us and prove it! You are the liar!

Impeachment headlines every day...and nothing has begun, yet. Pelosi maintains her "fairness" aura by stalking out of a presser. Nadler, et al, continue to make charges against PDT and make "preparations" for sorta impeachment hearings. It's all a sham and always has been.
Look, this is about headlines that continually bombard the public, especially the unthinking "middle", with Dump Trump propaganda. PDT has been charges with everything from rape to using his office to profiteer from his hotels. These "impeachment hearings" allow a daily dose of this stuff, things that just "have to be investigated", and perhaps more to come. The purpose is to tamp down PDT's popularity as the primary season comes closer, induce "fatigue". IF the Uniparty (both GOPe and Dems) can succeed in this, it opens the door for a "white knight" GOPe challenger, maybe someone named Mitt, to hop into the race.
The challenger may not win the nomination, but he will certainly do some heavy political damage to PDT as history has shown - no sitting President has ever survived a strong internal challenge. (Bush43 in '92 is a good example, after Pat Buchanan got done with him. Bush received over 75% of the primary vote, and only failed to hit 60% once, in New Hampshire.)

The left badly needs an intervention. When a leftist like Bill Maher thinks "Never Trumpers" appearing on MSNBC and CNN are a bad thing the you've lost the battle.
It will be great sport to watch the democrats after they lose again in 2020.

Impeachment was always dead. This is about the dem Dr. Frankensteins trying to assemble enough body parts to recreate a monster and the media is trying to provide the high voltage. Then it could run rampant through the election process destroying everything it encounters.
Except, it isn't working. No one can shout "It's ALIVE!".
Nancy is afraid the peasants are going to storm and burn the castle. But her hard Left base is demanding that the experiments continue, partly because her party has done nothing but scream about how big a threat Trump is and how bad he is. But all their charges have failed, spectacularly. But her base is roused to demand blood. It's all out of control.
The media delights in claiming that Trump's administration is in chaos but it is the dems who really are splattered across the landscape and the media refuses to talk about it except to attempt to counter the evidence that is all around.

After President Trump wins his second term, there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth. Nancy and Hillary will have seizures. And If her tears ever dry up, Rachel will get rust stains on her stoic iron face. The social justice warriors will stage tantrums unlike any seen after the 2016 election.

Marxists are cunning. They must have poll tested impeachment + Enemedia = more votes. Their struggle is to keep the house. They must know that Trump will be re-elected. We need 4 more years to allow the plants of liberty placed by Donald the Great to grow deep roots. Trump used this metaphor in his speech to congressmen, as the Socialist-Democrat debate was starting, and it is very true. Without 4 more the Commies could undo our prosperity much easier. Let the Trump revolution take root. If we could keep the Senate maybe we a get up to 300 judges and 4 supreme justices. Sweet.

If lying to the American people were an impeachable offense, we'd have impeached quite a few. Most recently Barack "you can keep your doctor" Obama.

Not sure I buy the "Speaker Pelosi is opposed to impeachment" story line. Are we to believe that committee chairpersons Nadler, Cummings and Waters (two of whom were vigorously advocating impeachment of PDJT even before democrats took over the House) ascended to power without her knowledge, permission or approval?
Keep in mind Hillary Clintons' comments about having public and a private positions. Democrats often appear to be divided in public when in fact, behind closed doors, they are not.
