Anti-Semitic former CIA desk officer, Valerie Plame, has come out with a Hollywoodish first video campaign ad for her run for Congress in New Mexico, set against a hokey country soundtrack redolent of the Dukes of Hazzard: Hey, romantic. Spy. Sooooo shivery! Just like the James Bond movies. And hey! She's good looking, look at that blonde hair waving in the New Mexico wind. Look at her drive backwards on a wide, empty dirt flat. Oh look! Another disgruntled democrat whose only qualification is her desire to take down PDJT. And .of course she'll sign on to whatever nonsense the Left's Cause D'jour is at the moment. And her opponent will have to go through the whole rigamarole disproving her claims that she was America's James Bond.

Inconvenient fact: It was Secretary of State Colin Powell's assistant that leaked Plame's name. Scooter Libby had nothing to do with it. A pardon was the only proper remedy for this injustice. Worst-SOS-ever Powell kept mum during the entire months-long Scooter witchhunt in order to protect his guilty buddy. BTW, it's doubtful that Plame was still undercover at the time of the disclosure. And another thing, while it would be bad to "blow" the cover of a truly-undercover spy, why is it not equally if not more terrible to broadcast the news in the media. Just asking.

Not on the NOC list, and the judge let slide that the government wouldn’t produce it to prove she was covert. So ultimately, Armitage “leaked” the name of a person who went through the front gate at Langley every morning flashing her ID like any other desk bound schlub. Pathetic.

What it takes to survive for long in the Trump White House would fill a tome that may command a seven-figure advance for whoever ends up being qualified to write it. But whatever now-ex National Security Adviser John Bolton ends up writing might solve an even more perplexing mystery: What is really at the heart of this president’s foreign policy? It cannot be denied that Donald Trump is a hawk, despite his rhetoric sometimes indicating otherwise. He backed large increases in Pentagon spending during his first two years and this year focused on out-maneuvering the Democrats’ majority in the House on federal budget caps to get another increase for fiscal 2020,

A couple weeks ago, a medical fellow at Emory University posted a tweet after three patients came in with Groupon coupons for chest CT scans. In the space of one Twitter post, she goes from shock that anyone would use a coupon for a medical test, to realizing the patients got a really good deal, and that the cost was likely less than it would have been had they used insurance. Then she concludes by saying, “US healthcare is bonkers.” Bonkers is right. But not for the reason Dr. Nicole Herbst probably thinks. What’s bonkers about the nation’s health care system isn’t that some people are using coupons for medical tests.

To get a whiff of just how corrupted and hypocritical the blue establishment is, a new book from New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor delivers the goods. Their upcoming "She Said," details what they went through to report the Harvey Weinstein story and focuses on the huge network of Weinstein enablers (all of which were, incidentally, on the left). Probably the worst character among them was Weinstein's famous feminist attorney Lisa Bloom, who up until that point, had been a much-celebrated defender

He went out as as one of the world's worst curses against humanity. Here's the New York Times announcement: Robert Mugabe, the first prime minister and later president of independent Zimbabwe, who traded the mantle of liberator for the armor of a tyrant and presided over the decline of one of Africa’s most prosperous lands, died on Friday. He was 95. The death was announced by his successor, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Those used to dealing with Iranian affairs, especially when it comes to intelligence and security, know that truth in the mullahs’ regime is often wrapped in the sails of mystery. As Winston Churchill said once (evoking Russia): “a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma…” I know this first-hand since I have dealt with Iranian drama for more than three decades, both inside and outside government, as a French intelligence agent first and then as a terrorism expert. But what is more confounding is the attitude of the Western powers in dealing with Iranian state terror, and the fact that they keep repeating, again and again,

There’s been a spate of articles in recent days about how Democrats need to win back working-class voters who defected to President Donald Trump in 2016 if they want to regain the White House. Right in the middle of this discussion, Sen. Bernie Sanders provided yet another reminder of how incredibly, unbelievably out of touch the Democratic Party is with those voters. An AP story this week talked about how Democrats face an “identity crisis” as they try to answer the question, “How can they peel back Trump’s support with white working-class voters while boosting turnout with minorities and suburban women?”

When natural disasters threaten, governments are quick to roll out anti-price gouging laws. Josh Stein, the Democratic attorney general in North Carolina, which might take a hit from Hurricane Dorian, has already warned business that if they take “advantage of this storm” he will “hold them accountable.” He’ll be praised for protecting consumers when he should instead be held responsible for hurting them. Even the Republicans, who should know better, are all in on anti-price gouging laws. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has issued a warning similar to Stein’s, while Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has “enacted price gouging controls” in a dozen counties near the coast.

How does one know what the voting public thinks? Once upon a time, long, long ago, public opinion polls may have reflected, however faintly, some generalization of public opinion. For a multitude of reasons, that is no longer true. To demonstrate that point, compare the August 29 Rasmussen poll showing President Trump’s approval rating of 47 percent with the Quinnipiac reported approval rating of 38 percent. Even more irrational are the Quinnipiac poll result that whatever is left of Joe Biden would beat Trump 54 percent to 38 percent in a general election and the Economist poll number that asserts that 55 percent of the public

The September 11, 2001 attacks were the result of an unmitigated intelligence failure. No, 9/11 was not an “inside job,” as many conspiracy theorists believe. Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network were responsible. But, the 9/11 plot did not happen in a vacuum. In reality, America’s elephantine national security state had known of bin Laden and his network years before the horrific events of 9/11. Some of the most powerful people in the national security state routinely downplayed and ignored the threat al-Qaeda posed to the United States before 19 hijackers murdered 2,911 people in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

The camps are not only an eyesore but contribute to lawlessness. The problem has intensified over the summer and Trump is apparently ready to move beyond criticizing the state’s lack of response to proving solutions, sources told the Washington Post Tuesday. Those sources did not say what exactly the administration would do and did not care to speculate whether California and municipal governments would be anxious to collaborate with a president who has consistently blamed them for the homelessness plight in the state.
