So famous lefty feminist lawyer Lisa

Harvey Weinstein's victims?

To get a whiff of just how corrupted and hypocritical the blue establishment is, a new book from New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor delivers the goods. Their upcoming "She Said," details what they went through to report the Harvey Weinstein story and focuses on the huge network of Weinstein enablers (all of which were, incidentally, on the left). Probably the worst character among them was Weinstein's famous feminist attorney Lisa Bloom, who up until that point, had been a much-celebrated defender

Comments:

Leftist hypocrisy has no bottom.

No fan of Weinstein here but what won't some women do to advance themselves and their corrupt causes?

The author questions the idea that the #MeToo movement started with Trump. It did indeed. The reason the lefties threw Weinstein under the bus was because they thought that they could use him to drag Trump under as well. Oh, there were a lot of people involved in the #MeToo movement who were truly after the sexual predators out there, but the press gave them attention because they thought they could get Trump categorized with them.

And #2, that's why they threw Al Franken under the bus----they thought they could then get Trump. And that little dumpling Kirsten Gillibrand led the charge against pervert Al. Oh, and where's Kirsten these days??

Anti-Semitic former CIA desk officer, Valerie Plame, has come out with a Hollywoodish first video campaign ad for her run for Congress in New Mexico, set against a hokey country soundtrack redolent of the Dukes of Hazzard: Hey, romantic. Spy. Sooooo shivery! Just like the James Bond movies. And hey! She's good looking, look at that blonde hair waving in the New Mexico wind. Look at her drive backwards on a wide, empty dirt flat. What voter could possibly resist this alluring ... sparrow? She uses the CIA seal for her partisan political purposes,

A couple weeks ago, a medical fellow at Emory University posted a tweet after three patients came in with Groupon coupons for chest CT scans. In the space of one Twitter post, she goes from shock that anyone would use a coupon for a medical test, to realizing the patients got a really good deal, and that the cost was likely less than it would have been had they used insurance. Then she concludes by saying, “US healthcare is bonkers.” Bonkers is right. But not for the reason Dr. Nicole Herbst probably thinks. What’s bonkers about the nation’s health care system isn’t that some people are using coupons for medical tests.

For all of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's troubles with extracting the U.K. out of the clutches of the European Union, he does seem to be making a powerful effort to fight back and he means to win. Latest news from the U.K. Telegraph suggests the wheels are turning: Brexiteer Tories in the European Research Group (ERG) have discussed the possibility of an electoral pact with Nigel Farage, The Daily Telegraph has learnt. It is understood “very tentative” discussions have taken place between the Brexit Party leader

Zimbabwe's preening socialist strongman, Robert Mugabe, a man who left his once-prosperous country a hellhole, is gone, and his end didn't come soon enough. He went out as as one of the world's worst curses against humanity. Here's the New York Times announcement: Robert Mugabe, the first prime minister and later president of independent Zimbabwe, who traded the mantle of liberator for the armor of a tyrant and presided over the decline of one of Africa’s most prosperous lands, died on Friday. He was 95. The death was announced by his successor, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Those used to dealing with Iranian affairs, especially when it comes to intelligence and security, know that truth in the mullahs’ regime is often wrapped in the sails of mystery. As Winston Churchill said once (evoking Russia): “a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma…” I know this first-hand since I have dealt with Iranian drama for more than three decades, both inside and outside government, as a French intelligence agent first and then as a terrorism expert. But what is more confounding is the attitude of the Western powers in dealing with Iranian state terror, and the fact that they keep repeating, again and again,

There’s been a spate of articles in recent days about how Democrats need to win back working-class voters who defected to President Donald Trump in 2016 if they want to regain the White House. Right in the middle of this discussion, Sen. Bernie Sanders provided yet another reminder of how incredibly, unbelievably out of touch the Democratic Party is with those voters. An AP story this week talked about how Democrats face an “identity crisis” as they try to answer the question, “How can they peel back Trump’s support with white working-class voters while boosting turnout with minorities and suburban women?”

When you can sort out what Beto O'Rourke is saying through his foul language, what he's saying in the wake of the Odessa-Midland mass shooting is pretty awful: Expropriate law-abiding citizens' guns, by force. According to Fox News: Beto O’Rourke repeated his pledge to initiate a mandatory buyback of assault weapons if he is elected president. O’Rourke was asked Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia, how he would address the fears of some Americans that the government would take away their assault weapons.

When natural disasters threaten, governments are quick to roll out anti-price gouging laws. Josh Stein, the Democratic attorney general in North Carolina, which might take a hit from Hurricane Dorian, has already warned business that if they take “advantage of this storm” he will “hold them accountable.” He’ll be praised for protecting consumers when he should instead be held responsible for hurting them. Even the Republicans, who should know better, are all in on anti-price gouging laws. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has issued a warning similar to Stein’s, while Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has “enacted price gouging controls” in a dozen counties near the coast.

It was a quiet night in Platts Harbor, near Santa Cruz Island. Shirley Hansen and her husband, Bob, had spent the day on the water and anchored their fishing boat Grape Escape in the cove. They cooked a calico bass Shirley had caught and went to bed. Then, they were woken by a loud thumping noise on the side of their 60-foot vessel. “It was horrific, the pounding,” Shirley Hansen said. “Our boat is very well made. Having that sound come through [showed] they were very in need of help.”

How does one know what the voting public thinks? Once upon a time, long, long ago, public opinion polls may have reflected, however faintly, some generalization of public opinion. For a multitude of reasons, that is no longer true. To demonstrate that point, compare the August 29 Rasmussen poll showing President Trump’s approval rating of 47 percent with the Quinnipiac reported approval rating of 38 percent. Even more irrational are the Quinnipiac poll result that whatever is left of Joe Biden would beat Trump 54 percent to 38 percent in a general election and the Economist poll number that asserts that 55 percent of the public

He's got his eyes on the prize, knowing that it's his job to ensure that Britain can leave the European Union as British voters demanded. Like President Trump, he means to keep his promises. The Democrat’s tweet also included a video further explaining his position. “Here’s the tough thing to talk about, though we must. Rich people are gonna have to allow—or be forced to allow—lower-income people to live near them, which is what we fail to do in this country

A chick adopted by a pair of lesbian penguins will be raised gender-neutral by its keepers. The infant will be raised neither male nor female at London's Sea Life centre, where the family are kept. It's the first time the aquarium has had a non-binary animal, which comes four months after same-sex gentoo parents, Rocky and Marama, acquired the offspring. If eventually the penguin gets named, it will be given a gender-neutral name such as Kelly, Alex or Charlie, according to staff at Sea Life London.
