Liberals are truly hateful and despicable. There’s nothing good or positive about liberalism. I hope this girl can get all the support she needs to get through this vexation.

When are parents going to understand that teachers and other staff are the biggest bullies their kids encounter in the school system? If they do not appear at board meetings/PTA meetings as a group and call these people on the carpet over their bigotry and bias, they have no one to blame but themselves. This should not be a part of a child's life. They are there to learn, not be bullied by bigots disguised as a teacher.

PTA is just another mechanism to get parents to support more taxes, teachers unions and funding to public schools. She will get no help there. The leftists own the public schools and are getting more aggressive in blatant indoctrination. They want to keep taxes high enough and deplorables broke enough to be unable to afford private schools. They want to outlaw homeschooling. Even if every conservative kid attended school with his or her own lawyer, there are enough Obama judges to stymie any serious challenge to the left. I am not optimistic.

In 1976 we had a mock election in 10th grade civics class. I was one of only two who voted for Ford and I caught hell from the entire class, including the teacher. Within a couple days it was forgotten because it wasn't fun anymore. These people are odious. They are going to keep pushing and pushing until normal people start responding. Then they will blame the NRA.

Apparently the only way to get their attention these days is to file a lawsuit against the school, perhaps the principal personally. Maybe for harrassment, maybe for aiding and abetting bullying, something like that. Figure out a way to make the principal's personal life a PITA or costly from her pocket.

Besides failing at education, the school system is a terrible place to be, partly because there is no accountability. There is only the system and it protects itself. I am NOT condemning teachers as individuals. Many work hard and care deeply about the kids they teach. But I have had teachers blatantly lie to me. I have had school administrators try to ignore bullying on the school bus by a kid who has "problems" saying we were expected to understand and tolerate his situation. Only when I threatened legal action did they take the kid off the bus. While sympathetic, MY CHILD is not going to be a sacrifice for this child with "problems". That the administration thought that what they proposed, effectively just ignore it, was an "OK" solution speaks volumes. My daughter was WAY ahead in reading. They refused to give her advanced reading materials because she would be "too far ahead of the rest of her class". They want to keep everyone in the herd as defined by the system. We live in a Country that celebrates individualism and individual achievements. Yet, we have an "education" system that dehumanizes kids and tries to turn them all into well adjusted sheep; easy to herd and keep under control. When dealing with kids who are troubled, they toss them into the herd of docile critters they have created and expect the sheep to accept the difficulties that arise. That's like punishing the rest of us for people who rob banks. But that's the system. It's easier to lean on the sheep rather than discipline the "problem" kids.

In the late 60's I got myself elected as Student Body President at a large SoCal High School. Hint: Think Disneyland My first crusade was to have the surly, grumpy lunch ladies who served truly awful 'Food' replaced with local commercial outfits that serve stuff that kids know and like. (Carl's Jr.) or any who cared to bid for the job. I was taken aside and threatened within an inch of my academic life by the administration. 'Twas ever thus.

And yet, Conservatives keep sending their children down the rabbit hole known as Government education. Private school is the answer, but then again, you would have to drive a Ford and not a Lexus. Not many folk are willing to make such a sacrifice. It is just easier to send them off to govt school and then complain about it.

Nice story...missing a key informational point. And exactly what school was this? Seeing the "victim" is white in DC, my guess is it is a private institution, not a public screwel.

I agree with all posts here. When our son, AL, was in the 4th grade they were studying something, don’t recall exactly the main topic but the teacher asked how we got the soil here on the earth, our son raised his hand and said God created it. Teacher said no it came from the space dust gathered on the planet as we moved through space. After letting everyone else say how stupid our son was......he announced to the teacher and classmates that if they were going to believe in evolution they would be in a lot of trouble! I haven’t thought about this in a long time, but upon reflection if he did it now they probably would remove him from our home as a possible threat. This was in the early to mid 70s, so christian schools were new and we knew of no homeschooling info. There was a small church near our home that had just opened a school. They had an excellent reputation so we put both of our kids there. As an aside he has become an outstanding criminal defense attorney who has taken, and won many difficult cases. It was the last of several such confrontations. The school called us in for a conference. They were concerned. This was just a short time before #8’s incident. But my point is this. I believe it is too late. As conservatives I think we have waited too long. I believe we are seeing this work out in the reaction to Trump. We have had Presidents before who had a potty mouth. We have had Presidents before liked the ladies. Plain and simply it is his policies that have people worked up. Lindsey Graham said it clearly in his excellent speech to the dims in the Kavanaugh hearings; “God, y’all want power and I hope you never get it,”. But they are going to lie, cheat and steal to get it back. And everyone reading this knows that as soon as a dim gets in the White House they will reverse EVERYTHING that Trump has done. And worse THEY DON’CARE THAT THE COUNTRY WILL COME TO A SCREECHING HALT!!! And yes, I am shouting.. Not at the readers, but at the dims. They won’t care what t does to the country. Maher (?spelling) already wants a recession, and when he says it there are NO boos. Please don’t tell me there are more of us than them. Please don’t tell me we have our guns. Please don’t tell me that God is on our side and will save us.. We, the conservatives, have shaken our fist in the face of God too many times. You ask how? By sitting back and letting the evil go unchecked. By not voting out the evil people in Congress the instant they began proposing the vile bills that have become the vile laws in our country. By allowing God to be completely removed from from anything in our daily public life. He isn’t removed and they are too stupid to know that, but they think they have. I could go on and on but I think I’m too long as it is. If God could and did divorce Israel, His chosen people, for their sin, then nothing the United States does/did can keep him from doing that to us.

And yet people accept at face value President Trump's approval ratings taken from polling data. There must be 10 to 20 percent of those figures that are understated due to supporters who refuse to submit themselves to potential harassment by admitting their support for the Trump agenda.
