The U.S. economy is “faltering,” House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared Friday in response to the U.S. Labor Department’s August report revealing that a record number of people were employed last month, while the unemployment rate held at 3.7% - and fell to record lows for blacks and Hispanics.“The August jobs report offers little comfort in an economy faltering under the Trump Administration’s reckless agenda,” Speaker Pelosi says in a statement posted on her website: "The August jobs report offers little comfort in an economy faltering under the Trump Administration’s reckless agenda to undermine the health, financial security and well-being of the American people."

What a moron. If Obama had an economy half as good as Trump's, the NYT and others would be running countless articles praising The One, and there'd be a push on to repeal the 22nd Amendment so he could be elected President-For-Life...

Piglousi prefers the demonrat version of an economy - no jobs; 20%+ unemployment; higher taxes to support their welfare base leeches; etc. You just can't fix stupid. It's impossible. Don't get me wrong. I support welfare for the real indigent and handicapped. Just not for leeches who prefer not to work when they can get free everything.

Truth is not the issue. It's whether Democrats and their media can frighten millennials and suburban women into believing the economy is on the brink of collapse because of Pres. Trump. If the are frightened enough, they vote for the democrats.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — Former Vice President Joe Biden fell into a near-coughing fit and called President Trump “President Hump” during his address to the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention Saturday morning. The sporadic coughs came between remarks the former vice president made criticizing President Trump over the administration’s immigration policies."We have 330 million Americans that have to do what this president can't do, stand together and stand up against this god-awful situation we face with him as president. Stand up for our best, what our nation believes," he said. "We believe in honesty, decency, treating everyone with dignity and respect, giving everyone a fair shot

South Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, and Kansas Republicans are expected to finalize plans to cancel their primaries this weekend, according to Politico.(Photos) “Trump and his allies and the Republican National Committee are doing whatever they can do to eliminate primaries in certain states and make it very difficult for primary challengers to get on the ballot in a number of states,” the controversial Joe Walsh, who recently announced his primary challenge to Trump, said in reaction to the cancellation news.

The CNN climate change extravaganza got bad ratings. Worse than that, there were no serious solutions proposed. How can you have a serious discussion about energy alternatives without discussing nuclear power? You can't, as we see here: The International Energy Agency has concluded that meeting the goal of keeping warming to no greater than 2 degrees Celsius would require doubling global nuclear energy generation capacity by 2050. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is often cited as the leading authority by liberals, reached a similar conclusion.

Screaming opponents of voter ID laws, who argue that such a commonsense measure suppresses the vote or is even racist, are terrible liars. The best lies, after all, have to be remotely credible, and theirs are not. This is the most important conclusion to draw from a new and illuminating study from the National Bureau of Economic Research. Researchers Mark Hoekstra and Vijetha Koppa looked at more than 2,000 election races in Florida and Michigan. In those two states, where voters are asked for an ID at the polls but can still vote without it, the study found what common sense would suggest: that nearly everyone

Donald Trump wants people to think he’s a winner. So why does he act like a loser? Winners convey a sense of effortless superiority. They don’t have to work at it. You just know they’re above it all. If someone tries to criticize them, it’s beneath their dignity to worry about it. It’s just a little speck they brush off their shoulder. The Brits are good at that, Boris Johnson especially. We still don’t know how things will turn out there, but I expect his aplomb will carry him through. “There are no disasters,” he once joked. “Only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.”

The Massachusetts Democrat added the technology raises “serious privacy and civil liberties concern” that “could easily create a surveillance network that places dangerous burdens on people of color” in areas where Ring has partnered with police officials.
